A huge thank you to everyone who has watched our short film, left positive comments, and helped those affected by Helene's devastation from Florida to North Carolina. We’re truly humbled by your love and support, and we wanted to be sure to share a bit more about the journey that led us to pass through Asheville when we did. So first and foremost, we are full-time touring musicians and documentarians, since we’re always on the road, you can find us with a camera in our hands documenting everything just like we would do on any other day. (this is how we got the footage you saw in the film) Since 2018, we’ve been living out of our 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan. Right now, it has 208,000 miles on it, the engine works but the side door is broken, and the trunk doesn't work as of yesterday night, but it still gets the job done and we’re grateful this van has kept us safe and can haul all of our gear! On Wednesday September 25th, 2024 we loaded up all of our gear and left Indiana (as our mid-west tour had just concluded) and we were super excited to head to Charlotte, North Carolina to start a Artist Residency which would give us time and space to record new music and prepare for our upcoming Christmas tour, kicking off right after Thanksgiving at The Morris in our hometown of South Bend, Indiana. After we left Indiana we had heard that a hurricane was heading for Florida, but we didn’t think much of it as we just thought it would hit Florida and then dissipate as it made its way to North Carolina. We expected that the outer bands would carry some heavy rain and winds. Honestly, we had no idea that it would be this catastrophic- growing up in Indiana we had no clue that Helene could maintain such power and travel 800 miles and that the eye of the storm could hit Asheville! Now, here’s an important detail to note: as we got closer to Asheville, just 32 minutes away, the rain started pouring down so hard that we could barely see out of our windshield so we turned our wipers on full speed, and then within two minutes we heard a super loud bang on our windshield. To our shock, the passenger-side windshield was completely gone, and the driver’s side windshield wiper had buckled leaving three inches of space to see out of as the rain was pouring down. To this day we’re still not 100% sure what exactly happened to cause that windshield wiper incident, and right now as of October 6th we’re still without a passenger-side windshield wiper as the mechanic shops are booked for another week. Once we arrived in Asheville around 3:21 AM on Thursday, we spent the night, and woke up to heavy rain, we called some local shops to see if they might be able to fix the passenger side wiper on our van. Then after talking with them we quickly realized after looking at it more closely the passenger-side wiper mechanism was extremely damaged and completely shoved under the hood and off the track, so the local mechanic's couldn't get us in quick enough to order the new part and fix it. Since we couldn’t get the passenger side wiper fixed on Thursday September 26th, we decided to wait it out, so we booked another night at the hotel and we planned to leave Asheville with a bunk passenger wiper once the rain has stopped on Friday as the many weather stations had reported that by noon on Friday the rain would subside. So we thought it would be safe to travel the rest of the way to Charlotte on Friday after the rain stopped as the drivers side windshield wiper was the only one working. We hope this gives a bit more context as to why we were in Asheville and the issues that kept us there. Of course we have been feeling all of the emotions and have learned a ton from this experience and will share another video about that with you all soon. In the mean time, thank you for all your love, light and support! Wow. And right now, St. Pete Florida is in the 'cone' for Hurricane Milton. I live in St. Pete. Spending the morning calling around to find special needs shelters close by. I use a walker and my husband is very weak from illness. Keep those prayers coming.
Thank you I live in Asheville and haven't left my house except to get water. One week +, and we have power could be a month with no water. But our home is safe, we are safe Lots of our neighbors have left. But we have lots of help from all over the country. Thank you everyone ❤. Thank God we live in the USA
For every one like You that is safe there's 2 doing without that ISN'T getting lot's of help... FEMA has no $$$ to give cause the O'Biden/Harris administration sent it all to Ukraine to protect the Deep States assets there...
You literally just passed the DQ by my house we have been ten days without power this has been a nightmare eating canned food but we are alive, i'm so glad you are ok Thank you for sharing what happened to us.
I am so sorry to read what you wrote 😢 and hoping you and all your family is safe. All Americans are worried about you all and feel hopeless, unable to do anything. All we can do is see videos on youtube or Tiktok that show how semi trucks and people are going to NC to help. That's are only cheer and happiness behind this screen ❤. I pray you all have food and shelter big hug from Texas to you all!
That little shop giving away food and water just brought tears to my eyes. Mr. Rogers told us to look for the helpers during scary times. You’re doing it, Old Europe
I have never felt so helpless in my life. My son lives in Asheville, and has decided to stay to help his work place cleanup, which was flooded. He has been without water and electricity for 10 days. But he said there are many others worse off than he is. I live in Wisconsin and feel like I am a million miles away. Everyone is doing all they can to help people, Yes, they are all heroes. Keep all that have been affected by this disaster in your thoughts and prayers.
If you think you feel helpless now wait'll KKKamala steals the election. You'll be paying the highest taxes ever and you'll never see a penny of help whenever a hurricane hits.
In the beginning of the video Jillian says "a little bit of rain and a little bit of wind" Wrong... Ahead of time the NWS. etc were banging the table about how dangerous the situation was going to get.
I live in a suburb of Charlotte. Every single business is collecting items to send west and/or fundraising. Restaurants, mom & pop shops, small town offices, etc. We The People have come together w/out hesitation to help those in need. The mountain towns are our escape from the big cities. I can't begin to imagine what our neighbors are going through. I just hope they know we are here to help, for the long haul. ❤
@@deebee.14 absolutely not. They've asked people to contact orgs that are assisting to find out specifically what's needed and where. We can't have unnecessary traffic and people around here right now and a lot of people are coming and driving around just looking at the damage which holds up local traffic and emergency/restoration vehicles. Not to mention how many of our roads are unstable or broken.
@@dabeastman20 Are you of a certain political persuasion? Your 'handle' suggests you may be just a narcissistic know it all. You can't label everything conspiracy. No one knows one way or another except those who are there & In this country, people are allowed to ask questions without needing judgment or negative retaliation. By asking questions, they are seeking correct information. BTW beasty, "y'all" has an apostrophe in it...
Not our government though, they just want illegal foreigners coming and giving them all our resources including housing in four and five star hotels, giving them food stamps with thousands of dollars on their EBT cards. I see the illegal immigrants getting all kinds of food at the checkout line pay with their EBT cards, while the American families are behind them, buying beans and rice and having a little. The American children are basically starving, while the illegals are getting steaks and steaks. It’s unbelievable to me to see our American children starving while the illegal immigrants get all our money that we pay taxes into. American families are starving, homeless, living on the streets, while all these illegals get everything. I see it daily in the checkout lines, and on the streets. We need help.
@@Ketowski Well I don't know, people in the midst of it stuck in the mountains with no help, as stated by people lucky enough to have internet access. Channel after channel reporting FEMA intercepting help to people stuck with no food and water. Is FEMA not an org that is part of the gov't? Why are civilians being refused access to help others that can't be reached? Why is there no news crews? Military aid,.FEMA doing what they were formed to do, help people in crisis. Why is Elon Musk being refused drop offs of Star links so people can communicate and get help. Why do we not see choppers other then private ones trying to rescue and deliver necessary live saving goods to save lives and being intercepted by govt agencies??? There are military who have equipment and are trained to build temporary roads and run heat sensitive drones to find people in the mountains that they can drop off whatever is needed to stay alive...why is none of this being used? Where do you get your information, just wondering, because your area may be getting help, some places are...but those who have been losing family members and are still stuck with no food and water are not getting help from FEMA , which is dictated by the government.
Still without power or water in north Asheville. Feeding my neighborhood nightly. started at 10 people which quickly grew to 100. Minimal sleep. Everyday’s a struggle, but seeing community come together has been incredible. Have cried more in a week (or whatever day it is time is now irrelevant) than I have in my life. Just got back internet to see this. Phew okay, let’s get back to it. 💔
Me too. I bawl everytime I watch these videos of devastation and tragedy in NC. I feel I need to, I need to be humbled, thankful to be safe, awake and aware of what's happening to our world and I have a feeling it's just going to get worse. This is an early video. I've been seeing how the government is stopping any aid whatsoever. It's appalling and heartbreaking.
I'm down in Mississippi and we've been through hurricanes before, Katrina and others, trees down and no power for weeks but Helena has devastated whole towns. So sad for everyone. 😢
You guys are lucky you were able to stay in the safer side of town. I live in Fairview which is south east Asheville. My area including Gerton, Bat Cave, Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, as well as swannanoa and Black mountain has been devastated. It’s hard to believe this even happened here. Terrible mudslides and floods killed a lot of people and destroyed roads and forests. I was without power, water, and cell for 2 weeks. Many people I know are still out of power and water. But as you mentioned in the beginning of your video, this tragedy has brought us all back together….dissolving the differences that have created terrible separation in our country. I feel a great paradox of emotions from grief to heart opening beauty. I’m an herbalist so I’m serving my community by giving away formulas for stress, depression, anxiety, and grief. Many people are stepping up to help one another. Glad yall made it out of here safely. Thanks for sharing your experience. I was cut off from what happened in other areas so I am relieved to see downtown at least still stands.
I know these two people who made the video. I’m a massage therapist in Vegas and Jillian and her husband visit their brother here. Anyway I like to say thank you for helping with your herbs. Y’all are going to need it. It’s horrific what has happened there. My grandparents lived in Hendersonville. They’ve done passed away several years ago but that area is Gods country! God speed stay safe and god bless you for helping out.

It’s so crazy to me that the small businesses are the ones to be heros and provide food and water whenever gas and oil companies still charge the same, if not more, for their essential product. They make billions of profit a year without a disaster.
Yes, the billionaires are NOT for the people!! THEY are actually the ones who have nefarious agendas for ALL of US; Depopulation, Full Control over everyone and everything and the biggest wealth transfer ever in history=United Nations Agenda 21/2030 is a REAL thing!!!
Our small business really doesn’t have it to give but we still are as best we can, buying breakfast for the volunteers, repairing a floor for a Christian donation organization that sustained flood damage, stuff like that. Wish we could do more.
Thank yourselves or your homebuilder. Depending on where you were. If you ran you saved yourself, if you stayed home and got hit by water your builder saved you. And if you didn't get hit at all, the wind saved you
It is the response of Human Being. To cooperate and support Life around us IS the Natural state of the Cosmos. It isn't rare that humans respond in a cooperative way when tragedy strikes. In THAT situation, the politics and hatred and name calling and the religious rhetoric and judgements fall away. As it COULD BE if each person imagined, fully, the need we have for each other. How important it is the Honor and Respect one another , IN SPITE of differences in our minds. Blessings to All 🙏
@@gregj831 on site with boots on the ground. They are having a hard time of it. Roads and bridges are impassable, aviation fuel low everywhere. The fed is giving governors all they need. Your rhetoric is taking precious resources away from the lifesaving actions they are trying to perform. Shame.
Glad you guys made it out safely. My daughter and I went to Asheville 2 days ago to volunteer and to bring donations. Honestly, we came to encourage others but we left feeling encouraged. The resiliency of the people is truly beautiful. So many Christians stepped in to help!! God's people showed up big time!
A small place up Rt. 26 West called “Little Creek Cafe” did the same for motorists who were trapped and trying to get out, many with no gas, in the middle of nowhere. Men who were trapped volunteered to cook and the food was served with a smile. Great place to be stuck.
Only complaint, that horrible screeching background “music”, but just nails on a chalkboard. Almost quit watching because of that, but very in tune to wanting to see and hear your experience. Thank you; my ears managed to stick it out! 😮😅
I live in Mars Hill 30 minutes north of Asheville, there is complete devastation all around us, so many dead. There are still people in Yancey and Mitchell Co. that people haven't reached yet. I'm sure the same in Eastern TN. The communities are really working hard to help each other out. This will take a lifetime to rebuild❤😢.
My Neice lives in Mars Hill. She owns Wildheart Farm and Sanctuary and saves animals. I have posted her fundraising page and pray 🙏 she gets help from many people 🙏🙏🙏
Honestly they should not rebuild! That is dead people property now honor them by putting their names on cement in front of their addresses do something to honor them with their town do not rebuild. That is ridiculous. It would be another lake lure. Cause them ppl were killed ain’t reason for this they should have had help this is so messed up 😢😢😢😢 on all levels man
I’ve never not wanted a video to end so bad… hopefully you have more footage for another great video. Thank you for showing me that good people still come together in times of distress.
Coming from an experienced off-roader…. Don’t “go go go go” through water unless you want to push water up into the intake making a plow effect. Go slow and steady.
I was really scared with the "go go go go go." I tried it once with my first vehicle in 2002 as an inexperienced car owner and paid a very steep price for my naivety.
The ONE positive of this is seeing human connection again. I felt like this video was taken 20 years ago. We’re all so distracted by our phones and ignore each other now. Nice to see it seem like old times even if it is because of a tragedy. ❤
I 3rd that Amen. We're states away but got hit by 80mph sustained winds after Beryl and my whole county lost power for 4 days. It sucked because it was middle of summer and you can't really acclimate to no AC that fast, but it was the most peaceful time I've had since camping years ago.
Yep. Everyone is equal. No color. No politics. No b.s. Real people. Helping one another, the way God intended us to be. Sad it takes a terrible tragedy and cost to get to see us getting it so right for one another. That's America ! ❤ 🙏🏻
My life has felt like a constant hurricane. Tons of trauma. I’m a recovering drug addict who has lived my whole life in Florida. Ironically, the only time I feel at peace is when I’m in a hurricane. It’s almost like Florida was created to take the damage that hurricanes create. It’s almost like I was created to take the damage that others create. I will never give up. I found a little peace in helping others(my channel). I hope if someone reads this it helps them. If anyone needs to talk, I’ll always be here to listen. You two are the types of people who keep me positive. You make good music, you’re helpful, and you’re living your dream. I’m so glad you’re safe. Spread Love Everyone.
Your comment touched my heart. I, too am a person that learned to live my life in chaos and when I had peace in my life it was uncomfortable. Through years of therapy, I am finally learning to enjoy moments of peace. I hope you can find that one day. Till then, embrace the madness and keep spreading joy.
I'm an addict in recovery, over 2 years clean myself, even after I got clean my life still felt like a constant storm, it wasn't until I found Jesus and now live for God that I found peace I'd never had before. I never thought I'd be a follower of Jesus Christ, but it's the best thing that's happened to me and I love my God today, He's the God of all of us, nobody is too bad or too far gone for Him.
i relate to your comment, I've had so much trauma, and still going through some of it watching a family member who is struggling with addiction currently and it's just very hard. I could use a friend who can relate. lol I'm glad you're in recovery!
My heart goes out to everyone in Ashville. I live in Charlotte and see the devastating aftermath of Helene. Our Walmarts have been collecting donations. Today saw a truck full of generators, blankets, cases of water. Prayers for you all.
This is the part that infuriates me… Walmarts collecting donations, allowing people to spend the money on supplies for the people WALMART MADE OUT LIKE A BANDIT DURING COVID… why aren’t they donating supplies that are needed in these communities? Many of the smaller ones are centered around the Walmart in their communities. Proof they are part of the problem, and not solutions.
tipsybass7060. Yeah, Walmart! People, come in here, spend your money here, and we’ll send our paid for products to the flooded areas!!!! Wow, brilliant!! One of the BIG CORPS that set up shop strategically ALL OVER the USA, just outside of a big group of small towns. Unfortunately most all of the American people WENT SHOPPING there, to then “save a buck”…and so put ALL THEIR LOCAL TOWN BUSINESSES FN “OUT OF BUSINESS “!!! NOW these massive operations OWNED BY MEN who also OWN ALL of the massive shipping companies shipping EVERYTHING moving around the WORLD, have ALL AMERICANS BY THE GONADS!!! AND recently, and with already record profits, they DOUBLE, TRIPLE their prices ON EVERYTHING needed by THE PEON PEOPLE!!!! FUGGEN CORPORATE GREED!!! THEY are sucking the wealth right out of the AMERICAN PEOPLE!!! IMAGINE the money going to THESE MEN, and out of the American people!!! AND MORE but I must stop there….Right, INFURIATING!!
Screw Walmart! They can afford to send millions in supplies themselves and hire helicopters and use drones to drop it off. Owners are BILLIONAIRES! Don’r praise a company that is greedily collecting more off the average Joe or poor who already give them their money. I would never donate to a Walmart or places like that. The nerve….
I'm not sure this couple deserves thanks. With all due respect how do you plan a trip that goes directly through a hurricane? All they did was cause more congestion in the disaster area. People need to humble themselves. If the authorities requested for residents to leave the area. I'm pretty sure they didn't want tourists in the area. I'm not trying to be overly harsh this whole video just seems incredibly irresponsible.
It needs to be documented by good filmmakers who are showing the on the ground events. They were coming to stay and had no idea about hurricanes. This shows how unprepared most people are in the US when it comes to natural disasters, but it is great to see the coming together, which also happens. Regardless of why they were there, I think this is an important piece of film. We hear about how bad it is, but being across the country and never ever having gone there, this gives some context. Thank you for filming. Obviously, stay safe.

One thing I notice you don't see flat screen TV floatin down the street like you did in New Orleans and people helping each other instead of looting each other!
It's crazy, there's entire towns and roads completely cut off up above my house. We saw some BIG helicopters, like apaches or something, going back and forth all night last night. I think they are getting those people out finally.
The small mountain towns of western NC and eastern TN were hit very badly, to the point where not just homes were washed away, but also the land underneath them. The death toll is underreported in the MSM. Lots of reports of so many dead bodies that the stench is a problem. Adding up the various local reports I've seen, and doing some extrapolating for the areas that haven't been able to report, it will turn out to be thousands, not hundreds. Lots of private rescuers jumped in early, in one place, almost 40 privately owned helicopters showed up and got to work around day 2 or 3, and were doing the Lord's work until various units of government shut them down. Government people don't like it when they're not in charge. Booty-jug shut down the airspace completely over the area, before any National Guard were deployed, and NC governor was doing nothing. FEMA was late to arrive, but quick to shut things down. Lots of truckers reporting that they were told to turn around and take their loads of supplies back. Apparently the optics coming out of the freedom social media got bad, and the government loosened up somewhat. I found X the best place to get info.
@@grizzlygrizzle The problem is that there's no cell phone service, so people can't contact their friends and family to confirm if they're safe. As things move forward, and more is known, the death toll will probably rise. But I saw a video that a guy made in NC where he went to one of the communities where people said the stench of bodies was a problem. He found a dead horse and that was it. No stench. Local people confirmed that then stories weren't true.
This was documented and recorded very well. Like watching a movie that sadly is real life 😢 So glad you all made it out safely. Prayers to the Asheville families. 🙏🏾
This should be required viewing for every American. What an eye opener!! Many different kinds of emergencies could happen that could set any of us back like this. It reminded me to refresh our water supply for emergencies and add at least five more gallons to it and to stop running my gas tank so low....and to have, at least, SOME cash at home.
That is correct, most of us don't make enough money to live completely off the grid. That requires a crap load of solar panels and batteries but it can be done. Storage tanks gasoline, diesel and propane. A bobcat with a few attachments etc.

One of the most important parts of surviving was not talked about, but instead shown to us. You kept calm. Asheville native here. We still don’t have running water. But we’re lucky to have power and cell service back. People are starting to go crazy. Unfortunately one person was shot by looters. had to evac to Pittsburgh just to stay safe. Be careful out there
Looters are the lowest from of human out there in situations like this. My family and I survived hurricane Isabel in the early 2000s. Our neighborhood came together for each other but looters came in to steal what little we all had left. It was horrendous and everyone was prepared to beat their butt.
You are lucky you got power back so quick. That will help a lot. Water service may be out due to damaged treatment plants and maybe clogged sanitary lines. That’s a problem but is fixable. What is not is human behavior of those that cannot wait in line for their turn and want the easy way out. Hurricane Maria Puerto Rico resident here. Hang in there; things will get better.

(this is how we got the footage you saw in the film)
Since 2018, we’ve been living out of our 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan.
We really appreciate you being part of this wild journey and above all we deeply appreciate your prayers and donations for all the people and communities left in the catastrophic wake of Helene.🙏

Coming from an experienced off-roader…. Don’t “go go go go” through water unless you want to push water up into the intake making a plow effect. Go slow and steady.

This is good advice please listen to it!
I was really scared with the "go go go go go." I tried it once with my first vehicle in 2002 as an inexperienced car owner and paid a very steep price for my naivety.
Yes, slow and steady, but DO NOT STOP either!

The ONE positive of this is seeing human connection again. I felt like this video was taken 20 years ago. We’re all so distracted by our phones and ignore each other now. Nice to see it seem like old times even if it is because of a tragedy. ❤

Better hope Walmart doesn't give the donations to fema, otherwise it's a lost cause.
They're collecting for Red Cross DON'T GIVE TO THEM!!!
The nerve….
Thank you for documenting this!

@@grizzlygrizzlemuch better response than Katrina… took 5 days before anyone showed up
@@grizzlygrizzle The problem is that there's no cell phone service, so people can't contact their friends and family to confirm if they're safe.

Cash will be worthless after the collapse. Stockpile pemocan for trading. It weighs practically nothing and lasts 20 years without refridgeration.
That is correct, most of us don't make enough money to live completely off the grid. That requires a crap load of solar panels and batteries but it can be done. Storage tanks gasoline, diesel and propane. A bobcat with a few attachments etc.

If I may answer..I know that we pray for those who have been affected to be comforted & for their needs to be met. That the Lord will give them hope in the sorrow. That His light will shine through the darkness. We pray for salvation to those who don’t know Him, as well. We also pray if we can be of help to show us where and how. We have given donations to north eastern TN and hope to help others coming up. 🙏 🤍
Glad you are safe. Thanks for showing this.
I'm in Hendersonville, NC. Asheville is much worse off, it breaks Mt heart. Chimney Rock is obliterated. It's devastating. Everyone has been so good to one another and supportive. The response from the community has been amazing. It's just so overwhelming. So many are still without power or a way to communicate or get supplies.
it's one of the most beautiful places on earth and it's heartbreaking to see.
So glad YALL made it
Praise be to God
🙏 Prayers going up for the people in Ashville
Absolutely devastating. Have visited Asheville, Maggie Valley, and Hot Springs NC, and nearly every single place my family visited 4 years ago was destroyed by this... this is far worse than we are being told. Thank you for helping show what happened. Prayers to all affected.
We were in Maggie Valley just a few years ago. It was so beautiful.
When you see people pulling together like this at these times it really touches deep in the heart .My heart goes out to America . Sending prayers ✨🙏✨
So sorry ya'll drove into a nightmare 😔 Thanx for showin us whut ya'll went through. Ya'll showed strength. God Bless ya'll 🙏🏻💞
I live a few hours away in e. TN and have been glued to the TV in UA-cam to see what happened to my neighbors. This is by far the most terrifying I have seen about what actually happened on the ground in Asheville as it happened. So very very well done. Thank you excellent documentary.
These are my people, I live right over the mtn from Asheville. This is what Americans are all about, helping their neighbors no matter what the need is. God bless all of the families struggling and I’m glad you guys made it out safe.
I live in Franklin, NC
The devastation in that entire region of the country is unbelievable. Hope people are getting the resources they need. Thanks for taking us there ❤
I just feel as if it is a miracle that you made it out of Ashville! Thank you for an eye-opening record of what you went through, and the suffering people there. God protect and comfort you all, keep you safe and bring you help! Amen!
My question to people who are praying during a disaster is do you know the gospel? I'd love to share, but don't want to push people unconcerned or confident in themselves? My true prayer is that people will be drawn to the one, true Amighty Creator.
Thank you for this video. It is very informative. I will continue to pray for all the people still stranded. Please Lord, save these people!!!
@@skeletalremains3860 my question is, if "God" has an ultimate, perfect plan for everything, why pray, at all? What are you hoping to do? Change his mind? Isn't this a little arrogant?

@@WynterFyre no, friend. It is because it is an act of worship and obedience. Our purpose is to honor and glorify Him, each other, and to be good stewards over everything He has blessed us with. Why would it be arrogant to be in a loving relationship with our Creator? Maybe I misunderstood your question?
Oh my goodness thank you for documenting this. I could not imagine being in that situation absolutely terrifying. Unreal to think this happened in the mountains, nature truly can be unpredictable.
Thanks for the video. I live in the South Bend, IN area. I grew up in the Charlotte area. Your documentation is amazing. My family is living what you are recording. Thank you for sharing. God bless.
Thank You Old Europe!! What a gift to so many people!❤
You two did a great job. Stayed focused and calm. Good JOB! So happy you are safe.
I've never watched your channel came upon this video. I'm so glad you guys made it through your travels. Thank you for your bravery and video of it to show others. I'm so glad you're safe. Thank you!
This is a real Short Documentary Film, we see the beauty of humanity, we also see the fear, frustration and devastation. Pray for those who are suffering and hope they recover ASAP. Thank you for the presentation.
@@maxdu6793 don't forget that the government SQUANDERED all of our FEMA funding. So did George Bush, and so did Trump. The Government is the problem. They force us to give up half of our hard-earned income, and then block the roads and block private citizens trying to give ⛑️ aid and help.
Thank you for this documentary you ended up shooting. I gathered more info from you than I’ve been able to from professional news sources. I’m glad you’re safe. As a former resident of NC, my heart goes out to everyone affected by this disaster. ❤
Why do you think msm isn't covering any of this? Why do you think.qe have billions for illegal immigrants, foriegn wars...but NOTHING for victims here in NC...children tied to.trees to not be swept away by flood waters......while they fund the policing of civilian rescue attempts and support....
Bet you're still gonna vote for Montell Williams side chick....
Wow! no sugar coating. Makes you see the desperation everyone is facing. Especially not having water. Thanks for getting this out.
So glad you made it out safely. Asheville was my home for 16 yrs and I have many friends there who have been impacted by the devastation. Your video shows the reality of the devastation...grateful for you documentig this...heartbroken for everyone.
This was so well done. We felt what you were feeling and that's not always easy to convey!
So happy you stayed safe.
Thank you for documenting your account and may God Bless you in your journeys.
This is the power and humility of the American people. So glade you all are safe. Thank you for sharing your story!
Thanks for making the film. I'm glad you got out safely. I live in Asheville and love my city. We will build back-Asheville Strong!
asheville / swannanoe dweller, Thanks and God bless all the USA for the help from so many awesome people from so many places. Live long Love hard
It's sad we only unite during a tragedy..
No thanks to Biden.
And some are trying to take that away.
And it's sad so many are using this tragedy as a political soap box. Not everyone is trying to unite. There are still MANY selfish people turning this into an opportunity. 😢
We are so torn apart by meaningless ideologies of the elite who hate us and love watching the division they create. Media shoves it down our throats everyday relentlessly.
I don’t think that’s true…
Asheville native here.
We still don’t have running water. But we’re lucky to have power and cell service back.
People are starting to go crazy. Unfortunately one person was shot by looters.
had to evac to Pittsburgh just to stay safe. Be careful out there
Looters are the lowest from of human out there in situations like this. My family and I survived hurricane Isabel in the early 2000s. Our neighborhood came together for each other but looters came in to steal what little we all had left. It was horrendous and everyone was prepared to beat their butt.
Stay safe please! ❤
@spirals73humans are inevitably going to resort to violence, we are a violent species.
@@chironjopeurto rico.. Stay safe and screw Monsanto for giving yall some of the weirdest highest cancer rates of types that are usually very rare. Stay safe, live long ❤
Love the Love. We are still a nation of compassion and survivors! ❤🇺🇸✌️
