@@nicksterl.2133 This is definitely the best sounding car imo, so imagine the fact that I've been waiting to hear it live for that long. Knowing that she only runs in Japan and that she's highly preserved, yes I'm allowed to say I'm a happy man after such an event. 😊

Saw it roaring back in 91 at le Mans night and day. If was worse than deafening. Impossible to get asleep at Tertre Rouge.
I can understand ! Seeing it in action nowadays is rare, so I'll skip some sleep to hear it screaming at full chat !

Waiting for years to be here and live the moment, and then that happens… i’m a bit sad, really. At least I saw it in person and live. I will be able to talk to my grandchildren and say I was here and saw it rolling at a circuit.
I understand your disappointment... I knew it wasn't going to be the Johnny Herbert lap of 2011, so I chosed to stay in the grandstands to maximise my chances... But don't worry mate, it'll come back, maybe next year for the 100th anniversary of the 24 hours of le mans. I hope that through this video, I managed to convey the emotions provided by that marvelous car. 😉
I hope they bring some classic cars to the Opening of the 2023 24h ... i mean its the 100th Anniverary so i hope they bring some Historic cars to the track ...

And before I forget, that same 787 was in a workshop, and I tried squeezing into the cockpit, which I did, but all I could move was my hand. I’m 1.80m
I could fit then xD I'm just 5 foot 2.
@@Crasher1982 fitting is one small aspect, driving it at an average speed of over 200kmh is a whole different story. That is over 24hours.

Damm, all I could hear was brap, brap, brap, brap, braaaaaaaaaaaah. The only reason Mazda takes the 787B to Le Mans and other race venues, is due to public demand. Thousands of people shows up to hear this car startup, rev and do a few laps.

Bonjour c'est une oeuvre d'art technologique cette voiture avec ce célèbre moteur à rotor et en plus elle est encore étincellante et super jolie dans ses couleurs officielles de Mazda qui a gagné le mans en 1991
@@vincentlegall7805 Effectivement, c'est le châssis vainqueur de l'édition 1991. Nous avons pu l'approcher de près dans le paddock, les phares sont craquelés et jaunis, la peinture est un peu passée à certains endroits mais cela lui donne un charme fou !
@@LeMansVidz donc c'est le chassis officiel Mazda de l'édition 1991 elle existe bien ! super car je pensais à une réplique , la chance de la voir et avec ce moteur magique !!! et de l'avoir approché car la 787B c'est du lourd et du puissant !!!
@@vincentlegall7805 Effectivement, il s'agit du châssis #002, donc le châssis vainqueur de l'édition 1991 ! C'est une chance que Mazda autorise la sortie de ce châssis inestimable du musée 🙂
I’m curious to know Mazda’s annual budget for showing their rotary gems.
Are they still manufacturing parts expressly for the heritage race cars, or working with old stock, rebuilding?
I hope they’re maintained for years to come.
not sure about the 26b race engines but they still produce 13b rotaries for enthusiasts

Les groupes C, et je ne suis pas le seul à le penser, étaient l'apogée des 24 Heures du Mans, la fin de l'endurance "passion-pure" à la fois côté pilotes/teams qu'aussi spectateurs...
La revoir me rappelle la "liberté sans chi-chi" de cette belle époque...
Quand on voit cette 787B évoluer, même "tranquillement" (c'est de la démo, rien à voir avec 1991 😉...), et qu'on compare aux autos de notre époque..., ça donne envie de trouver la machine à remonter le temps et de l'essayer... 😉‼️💯🔥🏁🏎️🤓🇫🇷

Sounds like that motor has a bit of a cold 🤔😳 I wonder if they have sound tracks of race engines available??? That would be the sound in my house all the time. Screw the ambient sound of rain, or birds ect... I want this!!!🤤🤤🤪👍👍👍 In the 60's, I was around motor cycle racing before I was born (My dad had a racing club out of Toronto, NMC) Still to this day, that is my go to sleep music. I think the xjr-14 would have won this year at le mans plus 3 okder jags finishing 2nd ,3rd and 4th but what a car this and lola t92 judd have got to be loudest

@@kierenboimufc5940 I'm not that sure, the 3.5L prototypes weren't that reliable, and the Group C cars were still very capable. The Sauber Mercedes C11 was crushing the field before an issue 3 hours from the finish.
@@LeMansVidz just got to think remember not long ago when a LMP2 nearly won le mans out right . I think its a shame bentley pulled out with the GT3 they would have done good here

Although according to some bogan on an Aussie motoring/motorsport forum 'it's a rotary so it sounds terrible and just like a 2 stroke motorbike'. Sure mate, I've never heard a 2 stroke bike sound like this!
