I’ve been looking at some white model Ys on the road and notice that the rear bumper is a bit yellower than the trunk and rear passenger doors. Yours seem to match pretty well? Maybe Tesla has been able to fix that on recent cars
Great job on the plastidip!!! I already planned on doing this when I get mine in 3-13 weeks. I did the same thing on my Toyota Tacoma 5 years ago and it is still holding strong to this day!
Thanks and congrats on your order! Glad to hear it holds up long term. Very happy with the look and finish, and the emblem now matches the rest of the black trim around the car. Thanks for watching!
The plasti dip still looks like day 1! Even after multiple car washes, rain, etc. It's much more durable than we originally thought. Still would recommend 100% over stickers!
2:26 All mods are ok...except I don't really see a need to remove the "dual motor" insignia. Tesla released some Model Y standard vehicles which are not AWD. All in all, these are cost effective upgrades although you can spend thousands on "other" Tesla upgrade features if you don't control yourself.
It still looks the same! We have been very impressed. We have friends who left their front emblem on and used plastidip as well and even that has held up well. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
Great video. How is the plasti dip holding today after almost a year? and also, have you thought about doing the plasti dip on the chrome cover of the license plate?
Meh maybe if I was 20 still lol , debadging and plastidip just cheapens everything. I did all this on my WRX back in the day but can’t imagine doing it as a grown ass man.
I wouldn't do it because I am lazy. I think the Plastidip looks good. I don't think I would debadge either. Oh I am 50 so I am almost a grown ass man. 8-)
@@siglinp 51 here and I plan on plastidipping both emblems and the dual motor badge. It looks good and is really durable. Chrome is so last century 😂😂😂
We definitely wanted to at least change it from silver. Everything on the car is matte black except the logos. We took it off because we wanted to see what the front looked like with no badge. We honestly like the clean look (no plate, no logos, etc.) We love our Tesla!
At first we thought it was only going to be temporary and look cheap, but it actually doesn’t. It’s way better than those sticker you can buy that only partially cover the logo. We’ve washed the car several times now under a pressure washer and no paint has come off it at all. Also the whole car has matte black trim so we didn’t think the logos being silver matched well. We’re definitely open to other options, but were very surprised how well it actually turned out. Thanks for watching!
Not sure why anyone would remove the front emblem. I know it's preference but what don't you like about the logo on your luxury vehicle? 🤷♂️

Yeah ours is luckily pretty well matched!
@@JQLouise cool, glad to hear! And thanks for the quick response!
the sport pedal are cool but pain in the butt to install and awkward for the body while installing but i do recommend them
great video great tips - jus curious why you would remove the front emblem?
Thanks for watching! We just think it looks really clean and the chrome was out of place. And we are loving the look so far!

Absolutely love this- its exactly what I'm trying to do with mine as well. Thank you !
I get my White Model Y in 6 weeks. Cant wait to try this!
Congrats!! We love the white, so happy we went with it! And these hacks were so easy!
How does the plasti dipped T Look today? Holding up well?

@@JQLouise eventually if one decides to remove the plasti dip, how easy is it to remove?
@@TheSuperQubit as easy as in the video...

We really wanted as clean a look as possible which is why we removed it. And yes these are very affordable mods!
How have the plasti dip held up since it’s been a year or so after applying?

Did you look into hyperdip at all? How did you find the plasti dip?
Great video. How is the plasti dip holding today after almost a year? and also, have you thought about doing the plasti dip on the chrome cover of the license plate?
But WHY are people removing the chrome sexy Tesla badges??
Considering nothing else is chrome on my model 3 this is why I also choose to plastidip my emblems as well.
The Model Y SR was actually only single motor, not dual motor.
Came here for the Y...instantly more excited about the Batman.
Yeah, I've changed my mind.
Great job!
That plisti dip is too cheap looking for me on my brand new Model y. No way. 😩 Goona do chrome delete, but not with a spray can lol

I agree, debadging isn't usally something i would do, but the Tesla badge is one of the worst in the mltor industry, it looks awful.
