I have watched so many of your videos and I was shocked to realize that I was not yet a subscriber. Thank you for the tip. My 2018 Model 3 will appreciate the new look.
Well, I just ran across this video so I'm wondering how the stuff is holding up. I just got my model Y and I'm paying to have PPF professionally installed as I do not have a garage and I live in a dusty environment here in San Diego. They are actually removing the emblems to put the PPF on! Then re-installing them. They wanted to know if I wanted them blacked out and I said no. Actually, glad I did since I think DIYing the project with HyperDip looks like a better and cheaper option. So let me know how they are holding up.
I tried to PlastiDip my new emblem on the back of my Model 3 yesterday. Because I didn’t like how the glossy black finish didn’t match the other matte finishes on my badging. It didn’t turn out well so I just placed an order for new badging in the correct finish. I’ve never had an issue with PlastiDip until this. This HyperDip seems to dry quick if you were only 10-15 min between coats.
Where did you order the badging from? Tesla did a crackdown on sites selling badging etc last week. I’m trying to find a carbon fiber or gloss black T logos for my M3 otherwise I’m thinking of trying this stuff out that Bearded Tesla Guy reviewed.
@@Koffee_Kong I bought a few on clearance from RPM and AbstractOcean after they got the cease/desist order last week. The new one I found on EBay from a highly-rated seller that probably was flying under Tesla’s radar.
