I just fixed my dryer I had already did the troubleshooting and had ordered the part. So when it came time to fix the problem I watched your video and it really helped. So thank you for the video. It was under a ten dollar fix and I probably would have just bought a new one. Wow..
Thank you, got the same problem. I too have had my the same dryer for years and love it...no problems till now but seems like a quick repair. Thank You.
Thank you I wasn't sure on the replacement # . I just got a new washer today and then the dryer didn't work, what a day. Wonder where did you order your part?
I have same dryer except it won't start. I know how to read the thermo switches. On the door switch I can see 3 wires. If the switch is bad and dryer won't start, how do I measure the wires for open or closed. Which 2 should be closed when the door is closed?
This switch was overnight delivered from Amazon for just $7. It’s a common failure for many dryers that use similar switch. It’s a very simple swap so I wouldn’t worry about over analyzing the wire voltage measurement as it’s the internal contact that’s broken.
@@DIYLifeSkills I found another video showing the switch. The other contacts are for the dryer the inner contact is for the dyer light. I would just measure for a short when the door is in the closed position across the outer wires of the connector. First I will check for an open circuit at the Thermo fuse.
What a very nice presentation. Beautifull done and executed in precise, thorough and concise manner. Thank you.
Thank you so much.

That’s great. I’m the same. I don’t buy until I run out of all options. :-)
Ditto for me, exactly. Thank you for the video, very much appreciated. !!

Yup super easy work that technicians charge $120-150 to come out.

Great to hear.
Thanks my man! Just fixed mine 🎉🎉
Great
So, to replace thar switch, you didn't have to take off the control panel on top, correct? You just opened it from the top front and lifted the cover?
That’s correct. If you watch the entire video, you can do this in 5 to 10 minutes
Thank you!
