Where there is a will, there is a way!
Pressure cooking sweet potatoes and kale.
Broccoli and zucchini on the butane stove.
Delicious meals while traveling.
You don't have to eat junk while road tripping!!

I've noticed in a few different videos that you are very careful to use "I" statements as opposed to "you" statements. I really appreciate that. You tell us how you live your life, without telling us how we should be living our own lives. For people who might be inspired to make changes in their own lives, it feels inspiring without feeling like I'm being told what to do.
hi Kim!! thank for you noticing that and appreciating that. I do things My Way and I want more to encourage other to find what matters most to them and call it Their Way, and stand tall in that!! Lulu
You are so inspirational and fun!! Thank you for sharing. 😊
DITTO @niftytraveler. Lulu if very progressive I would say!!!
Hi Lulu! You are a treasure! I was wondering what kind of pan your new one you have on the heat? It looks like it is non-stick. I'm always looking for "safe" ones, but some reports say there are none that are safe!! I mostly use a small cast iron pan or coated cast iron like lodge or Le Creuset. Tho, heavy for storage.
Praying your travels are fantastic and safe!!
That statement is exactly what I needed to hear, “when you want it you make it happen.”
I am really enjoying your content. The zoom with Chris and her struggles with diabetes and weight was an inspiration for me to care more about myself health than just putting something filling in my mouth. I do not want diabetes and right now is a good time to make sure I do not allow it. Keep up the great videos, I appreciate you!
I pressure cooked a sweet potato and a butternut squash a couple days ago, then cubed them. Last night, I had some brown basmati rice, the squash and sweet potato mixture, added some pickled beets I canned last fall, drizzled some olive oil and a dash of Himalayan sea salt, and oh my, it was fantastic! Thank you for the inspiration, LuLu!
oh Jo!! You made my day!! your meals sounds just lovely and healthy!! just beautiful natural food is so delicious!! thanks for sharing your menu with me!! Lulu
Dang! You're making me hungry, and I just ate my dinner! Thanks so much - I need to eat healthier, I'm tired of taking pills! See you on the road Lulu, you're a wonderful inspiration!
You are such a hoot!!!!! I so enjoy watching your videos! You have also inspired me to prepare and eat more veggies! You are a bright light in my day! Thank you for taking me along on your journey. 💛
hi Lori!!! thanks so much for your delightful message to me!! I'm so glad you feel inspired to take better care of yourself!! Lulu
Lulu, you are such a treasure! I’m grateful for you and that you are sharing your healthy lifestyle. Please continue to share. 💜
hi Donna!! thanks for your super sweet note to me, it's so encouraging. I'm glad you are here! Lulu
LuLu I just found your awesome channel and I must say “I love LuLu” you’re such a happy free spirit a ray of sunshine, I love your approach to eating and following your bliss, you’re my inspiration, I’ve been wanting to Van camp by the ocean 🌊 for so long, keep up the great videos ✌️
Loved the Instapot lid hack. I've owned one for several years and didn't have a clue. I'm glad to see your subscriber count climb so rapidly, and thanks for letting us homebound old gals ride along
hi Cathy!! yes, I didn't have a clue about that hack either!! we're all helping each other, YAY!! thanks for your supportive note to me and I'm glad you are here!! Lulu
@@LulusWay64 love hearing ur Mass. Accent. I am a vegetarian eater too. Steam mostly in fry pan. But oven bake yams & potatoes. U encourage me to use the pressure cooker.
I have an Insta Pot collecting dust in a closet! Now I am so excited to try and use it after watching Lulu!!!
This woman is INCREDIBLE ❤
As someone who eats only plant foods, this is SOOOO helpful, thank you!
Lulu, you're an inspiration. I've always precooked my rice or quinoa to have some ready in the fridge, but I never thought of doing that with regular green veggies. It makes so much sense. One of the reasons people avoid eating vegetables is because they can be tedious to prepare, but if they're sitting in the fridge ready to eat, it's so much easier to load your plate. Thanks for sharing your tips!
Yes.

All about BEING/Enjoying/Appreciating/Thriving in every moment!
well said!!
Lulu you are a very good motivator. Seriously. I am a 72 year old diabetic and have been over weight all of my life. Seen a lot of therapists about my weight and have never heard the beautiful advice that you give it. Keep it coming as I am sure you are helping a lot of people...me included. Thank you .😊
hi Margaret!! thanks for your note!! I'm glad you are here! Lulu
"Taking good care of myself is not a burden." I'm going to make this my mantra. Thank you for inspiring us every day, Lulu
BRILLIANT Lulu, totally love your meal prepping and the way you prepare your veggies so they still have texture and crispness👏🏻👍🏻🙏🏻❤️🙋🏻♀️🇦🇺
I was watching this episode on my iPad. When you said “hey, Siri set the timer for 9 minutes” the Siri on my iPad lit up and then told me I had no timers set. I even did it a second time and the same thing happened…….too funny! As always, enjoyed your video!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
OMG Bette, that is hysterical!! thanks for sharing that story!! Lulu
...careful what ya say...siri's always listening...😆
What a precious soul you are! 😊
oh Susan, such a lovely sweet note, thank you so much!! Lulu
My absolute favorite veggies to eat is oven roasted cabbage( it tastes sweet after)and cauliflower( you have to brown it a little) in a little olive oil... it is so good, after watching you with the pressure cooker I bet I could fix them in it too! Thanks for the inspiration!
That does sound delish. How do you actually prepare them, if you don't mind my asking?
Ironman 4x4 sells a compact 130watt electric oven that is perfect for vanlife, weekend road trips, or any journey. Just one more motivation to eat healthy on the road.
I’ve been watching van life and car dwelling videos for the better part of two months, and this is the first time I’ve seen anyone flip their cooler like this. It’s brilliant! I watched your van tour on Butterfly Tracks, and also thought the idea you had to of have a tiny freezer and ice packs vs a whole fridge to power constantly was also so smart on many levels. I just bought a Honda Element that I’m planning on building out. I can’t wait to watch more of your videos to see your journey and hopefully more amazing ideas along the way!
hi Stacy!! enjoy building out your Element!! it's half the fun!! 😊
Hey, Lulu!
Fabulous tips! I’ll definitely start cooking more veg to have on hand to assemble meals.
I forgot that I had purchased a butane stove a 18 months ago. I was hosting an Aliner Rally-I’m the Regional Director of Eastern Canada-in Kingston ON, and left my Coleman stove at home. Thus the new purchase.
Safe travel, and stay well!
Muskoka ON🇨🇦
Unfortunately, my Aliner shelter collapsed under the 4 ft of snow we had over Christmas weekend. This was followed by freezing rain later in the week. My Aliner was written off by my insurance company. Fortunately, I had the foresight to have replacement insurance, so it paid for most of the cost for my 2023 Rove 16RB. It’s only 16ft long, has a full bath across the back and the bed across the front. It’s perfect for me. I’ve come a long way from Sept 2015 when I had just retired an was sleeping in my backpacking tent!
LuLu, you are so fun to watch! You are a total natural at this. The kale looks fantastic, gotta try that! Hugs!
SO GLAD I found you! You are GREAT! So positive and wonderful personality. Take care and keep being YOU!
thanks Greengirl, for your sweet note to me!!! I'm so glad you are here!! Lulu
I was packing to be full time in 2 weeks and you kept me company as I watched this :)
Amazing. You have given so much information for a solo campvan life. You GO girl. Love it, love your energy and Karisma ❤💙💜💚🤎
Good morning. Just an idea. If you put salt and pepper in the veggie water at the end of cooking, it will make you a delicious, nutritious warm drink 🦘
I love this woman’s smile !! ❤
hey Hippie Gal!! thanks for that sweet note!! I'm glad you are here! Lulu
Hip hip hooray Lulu because of you, I'm eating big veggie and fruit salads too! Thank you for the inspiring my healthy eating journey!❤️🤗
YAY YOU!!! keep eating beautiful food, your body, mind and spirit will LOVE IT!!! Lulu
Hi Lulu we’re from the east coast of Australia at Long Beach near Batemans bay.
Just stumbled across your video and love it!
Kathie and I are 71 and we learn something every day.
We both have learned how to easily peel sweet potatoes from you.
Kathie bought a camper van during Covid and we head out for trips from two days to a month when the Grandkids don’t take up our time.
Love your honest and matter of fact approach to life!!!!!!
Cheers Robbie.
You are such a happy cheerful soul, its great watching how you do things, I look foreward to your next video Lulu
hi John!! thanks for such a lovely note!! I appreciate it!! I'm so glad you are here! Lulu
Love watching you shop and cook!
I love your videos. I'm a 69 year old female professor in Florida getting ready to retire in 4 months and you are part of my retirement plan. I am finally learning to cook and enjoy it! I always had to cook but never enjoyed it but now, you've made it enjoyable. And I'm planning to lose weight, finally, on your plan. Thanks, Lulu! :)
thank you so much for writing me such a delightful note!! so happy to hear of your retirement plan, to serve yourself well!! 😊
Lulu, I love your cooking healthy while camping. Fantastic example for all of us, campers or not. I've recently gone no sugar and no processed foods to lose weight and I hope avoid diabetes and further mobility problems. And for other health issues to improve as well. I find that I don't crave food when I do that and go low carb overall.
hi Evetta!! thanks for your note. yes, when you don't put those foods in your body, you begin to not crave them. so, for me, I just stay clear of them 100% and I never crave them, which allows me to love the food I do eat and not fight away the junk food. my body is not craving it !! YAY!!
@@LulusWay64 Definitely the way to go! Even my teeth/mouth feel cleaner.
This was so informative! I have never cooked with either you demonstrated and have wondered how to do it. Thank you.
I LOVE how you use your cooler, LuLu! What a great idea! 🌸
You reminded me of items I've not bought in awhile. Gracias. I do love the Spanish smoked paprika. Love the slight crunch on my veggies Awesome video
I started watching your videos about #vanlife as I am wanting to hit the road. Now, I watch your videos to get motivated to eat healthier. I used to eat a WFPB diet and once Covid hit, I began binge eating and drinking pop ALL DAY LONG. I have struggled with weight the last 12 years. I want to change my lifestyle by travelling more and eating better. You are an inspiration.
hi Tyme!! thanks for your nice note to me!! weight was always a struggle for me, until I stopped fighting. I hope you continue to feel inspired. I’m glad you are here!! Lulu
Hi Lulu. Enjoy watching your food hauls. I’m always amazed how much your cooler holds. lol 😊
I love your videos. Cooking and thrifting. ❤😊😊
Howdy 👋 LuLu
I love watching you cook. ❤️
When I fine myself without a lid, I use some foil or a paper plate. Work instead of a regular lid. Keep the videos coming 🙂🤗
hi Jo!! thanks for the great idea!! using tin foil for a lid, why didn't I think of that? DUH!! (lol) I cooked this morning and used the foil as a lid and it worked perfectly!! THANKS!! Lulu
I love my instant pot. You can make so many things in it. I steam and pressure cook mainly.
Lulu you got it going on girl, cool set up. We don't care what you wear, we enjoy your videos no matter what your wearing. I'm learning a lot from you. Much love be safe, God Bless 🌹💞🤗
hi Cindy!! yeah, I don't care either!! LOL
Today as I passed the spices shopping I thought of you and decided to pick up some organic smoked paprika to try! I have used Hungarian paprika on chicken and love it, so I thought I’d try your recommendation!
hi Luanne!! I love the smokey flavor and I love the color it gives things, looks like things have been BBQed. ENJOY!! Lulu
An easy recipe is to brown some minced meat (pork/beef) then stir through a handful of raw rice, and a little of any seasoning you like. Fill some raw capsicums with it and plug the top with a slice of potato. Or wrap the meat in soft pre boiled cabbage leaves. Neatly stack to fill line of your pressure cooker and cover with liquid stock or just a stock cube dissolved in water. Cook in your pressure cooker for about an hour.
Paprika powder tastes best when generously sprinkled over bread smothered in cold beef fat- save that fat next time you finish frying a hamburger 😊 I enjoyed your video- Thankyou Lulu.
that sounds wonderful, but I don't eat like that. I always cook things individually!! it's how I do ME!!! 😊
Lulu, my dad's family is from Canton, MA and I can't tell you how much you remind me of them. Love your 'get it done! ' attitude (and your glorious accent! ♥️)
hi Sandra! I am familiar with Canton, it's about a half hour from me!! I'm so glad you are here!! Lulu
I had to laugh about the pressure cooker exploding....when I was growing up my mom had a pot full of pinto beans in a pressure cooker and a bean plugged the jiggler thing on top and it exploded....pinto beans all over everywhere. Sounded like a cannon went off! Love your videos, you seem so at ease in the video. Thank you for bringing us along!
the one my mother used that exploded had the jiggler thingy on it too!!! I think pressure cookers have come a long way!!!
all of them veggies look sooooo good...I'm going to try the kale and chopped onions thank you sooooo much for these healthy cooking ideas!! i love them!!
hi Beverly!! so happy to know you are enjoying the ideas for cooking healthy!! YAY YOU!! 💕
Still love watching how you cook the vegetables!! Makes me want to start eating a lot more vegetables . Cooking is not my favorite thing to do but you make it look easier than I thought. And best of all it is all outdoor and from your van!!
hi Cheryl!! I find slicing and dicing and carefully preparing beautiful yummy nutritious things for me feels like a meditation in way. I love being fully involved in the care of ME!! perhaps it can become something you enjoy. it's all about what you think about it. if it you believe it to be a chore, then it will feel like a chore. if you believe it to be a joy, then it may feel joyful!! who knows what could happen!! Lulu
Thank you so much! I really enjoy watching your videos. My best friend watches now too. We really enjoy watching you cook nice healthy meals. You are an inspiration to us.
hi Tammy!! thanks for your nice note! I'm happy to hear that you and your best friend are enjoying my videos. I will do more cooking videos soon!! I'm glad you both feel inspired and I'm glad you're here!! Lulu
Definitely going to try cooking kale in my instant pot. Thanks !
Hi again from Puerto Rico, I am enjoying your, cooking and learning thank you so much. 😊❤❤. GBU ❤❤😊
I am new to your channel and I totally loved watching you. You are such an inspiration and you tell us how you live in your van you do not tell us how we should live in ours. I am hoping to get to start my van life within the next year and a half. Could you please tell me where you got your Berkeley and your big knife I even seen that knife in one of your videos you did from your house speaking of your house I also loved the video where you showed how you did your bedroom into a little apartment for you. I don't think there's anything out there you cannot do you go girl I love watching you and I am a big big fan. God love you and protect you and keep you safe. Hello and please tell me where you got your pressure cooker thank you so much put that knife you got is amazing I really want to get one of them
hi Ricci!! welcome to my channel!! I'm so happy to know you enjoy it so much and I'm glad you are here!! the Berkey: amzn.to/3xOkx4y and the knife: amzn.to/3RTIf67 . . . for future reference, almost everything I use and show I have links for in the description of my videos, in case there is anything else you like!! thanks for writing me such a sweet wonderful note! bye for now! 😊
I do a whole head of cauliflower with the green still on in the instapot for 1 min and natural release. Then chop and eat. Its still crunchy and firm, just perfect.
hi Kerry!! sounds great!!! Lulu
I've been enjoying your videos! 3:36 Please rethink that part, bcuz yes, they can explode. Use canisters labeled with CRV (C. Release Valve) for releasing excess pressure from heat. Also, *never remove/install a canister while stove is hot to the touch,* per the manufacturer. *Avoid large pans* - - they overlap the canister area and heat it up! Plus, UL Listed, etc. is needed.
Storage of canisters:
There are ways to store them outside a vehicle. (Manufacturer's instructions say to not store them in a building......or any enclosed space.)
You really do have a great channel, a wonderful personality, and you are a joy to listen to!
I cook at least 2 cups of rice at a time (family here) so I've been using my instant pot as my rice cooker too. I love my instant pot 🥰
Fun visit today here...looking f oward to going on this road trip with you and your friend...rest well, travel safe, catch you on the next video...
my friend Barb and I are going to do a chat video together when we get out camping, the story of how we met on a vanlife FB chat and became fast friends. the vanlife community is out there and it's easier than ever to meet like-minded people!! stay tuned!! Lulu
I love your videos-especially the healthy eating component and your lovely Boston dialect .
hi there!! thanks for your note!! I'm so happy to hear that you enjoy my videos and there will be lots more healthy eating components because it's what I do all of the time, 100% of the time!! I'm so glad you are here!! Lulu
I really enjoy it when you cook your food, it gets me in the mood for veggies! Thanks for letting me hang out with you 😁💙💌

hi there!! thanks for your nice note to me!! I will turn on the camera, from time to time, as I cook, I enjoy it!! eventually I will create amazon links and put them in video, I'm still figuring it all out, thanks for you patience!! I'm glad you are here!! Lulu
I’m gonna do “THE KALE “ 😂 this lady is so funny. I just love her energy ❤
I love your grocery hauls and food prep videos so much! I cannot get over how good those Japanese sweet potatoes are :). Im definitely adding them to my staples. I have a Sprouts 2 blocks from my house and I didn't realize those were the Japanese sweet potatoes so I went to Trader Joes, but now I know what to look for, thank you....
hi Randy!! Sprouts is a lovely store!! how lucky are you to have one so close to you and to see they have your fav SP, going by a different name!! remember the scratch test!! LOL
Thank ya for being such a great person Your down to earth (Australian for no nonsense
or positivity) language you have is breathtaking and gives me insight and inspirational ideas about life and my longevity because stress is not a way of life
Thank you for being such a fantastic educator
hi Amanda!! thanks for your lovely message to me, I appreciate it!! yes, stress is not a way of life. did you realize that stressed spelled backwards is desserts? haha
I love your cooler idea!!
Miss you miss lulu and glad to see you this morning, love watching how your green vegetables cooked but still keeps it’s vibrant color. 👍
hi Jacqueline!! thanks for your nice comment! :)
Im with you Lulu, paprika is wonderful and a favorite of mine.
Thanks for sharing your meal prep and tip on the pressure cooker lid.
Good morning Lulu ☀️. So look forward to seeing you. Blessed day to you
hello MJW!! and a blessed day to you too!! Lulu
Hi, every time you say “Siri” the video pauses and siri comes up on my IPad. LOL
hahaha!!!
You’ve got your food prep down to a science. You make it look so easy. 😁😁❤️❤️
hi Nancy!! it is easy!! it's not as easy as driving through a drive-thru take out, but that's not an option for me so I don't have that to compare it too. it's easy because it's a priority for it, it's not an option, and after 9 years of eating this way, every single day, it just gets easy and honestly I thoroughly enjoy it!!
Lulu, just found your channel recently and subscribed. You are so real, funny and entertaining. God Bless you.
hi Judy!! thanks so much for your very sweet note to me!! you made my day!! I'm glad you are here! Lulu
Thank u for showing us how you cook ur veggies! How do u cook cauliflower? Very interesting & informative videos Lulu❣️ Thank u so much!😊👍❤️Love it❣️
hi Betty!! I would cook cauliflower the same as broccoli, zero minutes, manual release!! Lulu
I love that u use your insta pot on the road but u r right about not everyone having power for it, but what most people don’t realize is that an insta pot is just a pressure pot (which can be used on your butane stove) with a lot more designed bells and whistles on board. I carry my stovetop pressure cooker with me. I can use it to pressure cook or use the pot to heat water or cook corn on the cob and without the lid locked down it can be used for any purpose a regular pot can and it is just as safe as the instapot is. There are so many safety release features built into these new pots that you have to be extremely talented to make them blow😊
Love watching your grocery hauls!😊
Awesome video , enjoy you’re camping trip .
You are so organised! I just love watching your vlogs
so happy you enjoy my videos so much! thanks for writing!! Lulu 😊
🤣🤣🤣... you're not "here for a fashion show". Well, Ms. Lulu, from those great pieces you picked up on those thrift hauls, you might as well do one!😉
haha!! yeah, life is not a fashion show but a fashion show is a fashion show!! LOL
The instant pot is my favourite!!! That & my air fryer. Another great video. 👍 ❤
You inspire me! Im not set up in my van yet, but we eat similarly, so I’m practicing your food prep at home. Look forward to meeting you one day!
hey Tia!! thanks for your nice note. so happy to hear you are putting food prep into practice . . . like they say "fail to plan and you plan to fail" I'm glad you are here!! Lulu
I used to have a fear of pressure cookers, like the one my Nana had. I got an instantpot a few years ago, and love it. Isn't that lid trick awesome! I felt like a genius the first time I tried that. lol.
hi Kat!! yes, it's totally a genius trick!! so glad someone told me about it!! YAY!!
Hi lu lu love your vedios blessing to you😊
Hi, Try the Vital Farms ORGANIC pasture raised eggs. I always bought the black label like you but started buying the pasture raised organic......... the organic ones are bit more expensive but they are so wonderful! No issues with GMO's. Many people don't realize the black label Vital Farm eggs are NOT organic and the company does have the organic ones and they are labeled organic unlike the ones you purchased. I only eat pasture raised poultry as well and all grass fed meat/butter/ghee etc. Yes, I'm a health nut at 58 and it's so lovely to see you take such good care of yourself. Thanks for the wonderful videos
hi Angela! I know EXACTLY the eggs you are talking about, always always my first choice, "Vital Farms Organic Pasture Raised, Size XL", but at this store Sprouts, this was my one and only option for pasture raised. there were cage-free organic, but I would rather have conventional pasture raised than organic cage-free (because cage-free is a joke, it's trickery to the public). anyway thanks your for healthy advice to me, it was good advice!! Lulu
I did not know the instant pot lid could do that!! I'm trying to perfect rice cooking in the IP, but mine comes out a tad overcooked. I'm interested to see your method! ❤
I do 8.7 oz. rice, 14 oz. water, cook pressure 3 min. and 10 min. slow release. I use a food scale to measure.
I love following you! You are always so POSITIVE!!, Could you talk more about your weight loss plan. ( or is this is other videos)You eat so healthy. I love eating that way but I have such a SWEET tooth that gets in my way😢
hi Bette!! yes, I'll touch more on the weight loss journey on my videos. I have lots of topics to cover, all in due time!! the only way I got rid of my sweet tooth was to stop each sugar 100%. one bite of that stuff screams for the next bite, and then the beat goes on!! I totally abstain from sugar, 100%.
@@LulusWay64 I’m in food recovery and gave up white flour and sugar which totally changed my life. I had to join a program which helped immensely as sugar is a kind altering drug for me. Thanks for your transparency and modeling healthy self care

Love the dress ❤ It looks comfy 👍🏽
Lulu I love you. I love your videos.
hi Kathy!! awww, thanks so much for your sweet words!! I'm so happy you enjoy my videos so much!! I appreciate it! Lulu 🌷
Thanks Lulu, I appreciate you sharing your cooking techniques. I am starting your eating plan, went shopping yesterday for all my veggies, and some meats. I am excited to see how this works for me.
I'm so excited for you Janice!!! if you follow it 100% of the time, it will serve you VERY well!! enjoy the process of taking really good care of yourself!! Lulu 💕
Watching this to learn how to use my pressure cooker for more cooking. Hoping it will help minimise my sticks and bricks electricity bill. I like your knife! Puts me in mind of Star Trek! 😊
It all looks so yummy! And yes, I learned something new today!! Who knew the lid fit right on the side of the Instapot? 😃. Now I know 👏👏
YAY! when space is tight, it's great to just slip it on the side!!! someone here in the comments told me about it when I was using it in a video, who knew? haha
I just found your videos. It just gave me a chuckle because my SIRI responded when you asked yours to turn the timer on.
oh Tammy, that's hysterial!!
Learning about healthy foods and enjoying your commentary! This is perfect 👍 thank you 🙏…. soooo what do you think about baking healthy bread rolls on the go?
hi Jea!! thanks for you nice note to me!! I'm so glad you are here!! I don't bake rolls nor do I eat bread. I do not eat any refined simple carbs, I stick with complex carbs. you can google that to learn more about simple vs. complex if you are not familiar. so, I have no experience baking breads. Lulu! :)
Thanks for your reply! That question about bread Baking seems silly now! History note* my daughter recently got a mill and started making her own flour and she brought me a loaf of her bread, well yum yum 😋…so great complete with all the wheat berry. So I went and got a flour mill, but I love to travel and so that’s why I asked about bread making on the road 😂 silly question… thanks for diet advice and I will be looking into it further. Lulu your content is very uplifting…I think you are helping a great many people with their health and their living circumstances, you’re an inspiration to all yay 👏👏👏
