- It's unfortunate that some wind interfered with the sound in a few spots, but you can still hear me.
It's annoying, I get it . . . I'm learning!!
I don't know what I'm doing but I'm doing it anyway!! LOL
Thanks for being here,
Lulu
Lulu, you are brilliant! Everything you did in your van was clearly thought out and makes perfect sense. Well done!!!
thanks Barbara!! I'm so grateful that what I thought would work, is working. at the end of this trip, I'll have it all figured out what I want to change, it's so fun!!!
Love that. 'Ive surrendered to the bungee" !!!! Great organization and ideas you came up with , love your bed and table so simple yet perfect!
hey Barbara!! thanks for your supportive note!! I'm glad you are here! Lulu
Lulu isn't it nice to know your helping others without even knowing? This video is your most popular...64,000 views AWESOME SAUCE!
No way!!! They flashed you, how cool is that. You know you are part of the family😊😊😊
haha!! oh, I was shocked!! it was absolutely hysterical, love my ladies!! Lulu
you are a delight!!!
oh Sara, thanks for your sweet message to me!! Lulu
I love the cooler idea. The lid is functional as a shelf and easy to get into. Genius!!
hi Amy, yes the lid does serve as a shelf, it's very convenient . . . but not for long, cuz I need to shut it to preserve my ice!! lol
Got a couple of ideas as I watched the van tour. Both are focused on the cooler. If you have more of the silver bubble wrap cut a piece to put it over your food. In essence you will have a cooler in a cooler. As your food dwindles the refrigerated space will be smaller allowing the ice packs to last longer. also put a piece in the cover. Secondly, and I wished that I thought of it earlier, we can drill a small hole for a probe thermometer ,like the kind I use in heating and cooling , so that you know at a glance what the temperature is in the cooler. I bet that sometimes you may change the ice packs prematurely not knowing what the actual cooler temperature is and it may cut down on your need for electricity for that and you will be able to use more "juice" somewhere else.
BOB!! You are here!! Thanks for being here!! I hear ya about the silver wrap in the cooler. I was going to take it and think about and and use it on the road, but I didn't have the space. those are great great ideas!! THANKS!!
@@LulusWay64 I'm sure we have work to do when you return.
Fantastic suggestion!
Lulu you are a piss and a pistol- my kind of girl!
Keep living exactly as you are and doing what
you’re doing. What a joy you are, enjoy your peace! Beth
I love this! Everything is so well thought out, and obviously works for you…great job! ❤
Found myself smiling thru the whole vid. You are just radiant and joyful! Keep being you!
thanks for your nice, encouraging message to me, appreciate it! Lulu
I'm another one who says thank you for being you. So many good ideas, and a wonderfu smile too!
thanks for your sweet note, Carole!! I appreciate it! Lulu
Genius! I've watched hundreds of conversion videos, but yours was packed with so many ideas that really spoke to many of my needs.
I'm vegan and was stressing over to keep my veggies, etc. cold without having to buy a huge, expensive power sucking refrigeration unit. Would love to see a follow-up on how your cooler system held up. Thank you for all your wonderful tips. I will definitely be using many of them. ❤
hi Karen, I used this system for a two month journey and it worked well. I struggled a bit on two occasions with my electric because of bad weather and I bought a bag of ice twice to supplement. BUT, that's because I don't have the proper wiring in my van to the van battery to charge while driving because my power station is a beast. so I'm limited to only solar charging. I either need to have the proper wiring installed or I need to downgrade my power bank, I don't think I need one that powerful. but, all in all, the freezer/icepak system works well and I'm using the same system in my new build that is currently a work in progress, stay tuned for van build videos as I've already torn out the build from this video!! glad you are here! Lulu

hi Donna! thank for your lovely note, I'm glad you are here! Lulu
The freezer and cooler idea is epic!
Love seeing all the different phases of your van builds! Great attitude about food. 🌞
I love it! You did a fantastic job practically on the fly! The cooler is a great idea. I love how you prioritize what YOU need. It isn't about what everyone thinks you should have. It is perfect for you and well thought out. What a beautiful place you are camped too. Wicked awesome!
thanks Kat!! yup, everybody just needs to decide what is most important to them and consider it and accommodate for it. I want to have the things I enjoy, even on the road in a tiny space. can't have it all, but I can prioritize!!! thanks!! Lulu
Lulu, I could listen to you for hours! Your personality is absolutely adorable. I can easily imagine you as a little girl, when you were in school and your favorite time in class was "Show and Tell." Wonderful job on your new little van!
hi Mary!! thanks for your lovely note! I appreciate it!! now that's interesting, you got me thinking how being on UA-cam is like a big "show and tell"! LOL 😊
You’re an absolute joy! I am really liking your organized way utilizing the space. Just fun to watch and learn!
I’m 76 and about to invest in a van and begin my long planned van life on the road. Would love to meet up some day….take good care!
hi Marjanne!! make that dream come true!! YAY YOU!!! Lulu
@@LulusWay64 🎉
Oh hurray! I am 72 and wondering if I’m too old for this. I would not be full time but I still wanr to try.
Cheryl ~ I am 73 and am buying a van in the next few days to be a first time part time van liver. So I know you are not too old ~ at least for another year! 🩷
Such great ideas! You are a master. 😊
I cannot believe I found you - a person who eats the way I eat! The one thing that was a hindrance to me was my desire to continue to eat healthy food. I had seen nobody living very small and having space for all the good foods. If I ever happen to meet you, how thrilled I would be. I am nearly 72 years old but my dream for several years now has been to get in my SUV and travel. I would not be full-time because I still have a home in Nebraska but I definitely can do this. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
hi Cheryl!! I knew I needed BIG space for my BIG food and I figured it out. where there's a will, there's a way!! I would be thrilled to meet you too, perhaps I'll see you down the road!! I'm glad you are here! Lulu
I have gotten such a kick out of watching you and your friends travel in your mini vans. Your adventures have given me a lot of ideas!
Excellent work LuLu!! A suggestion is to attach by velcro a beautiful fabric with pockets to the door of cooler so the big gray plastic is not so in your face and you can have more fabric pockets for storage. Also, a car waterproof tent with awning and mosquito net for the back of your car might be a good idea. Love all of your smart choices !!
hi there! wow, what great ideas, thanks so much!! Lulu
You are great ideas and so happy...
I love the new van. I first saw you in the Dodge Caravan. That was a great build. Love your energy and humor. The story about being eaten by a bear is priceless!!😂😂
Your amazing you look so happy what a lovely time you have x

I love the ice and cooler idea. Thanks for this.
WooHoo it's Lulu 😃 I love your van & the way you set up your cooler is genius 👍 Thank you so much for sharing & thanks to your camera woman 🙏🤗
thanks for your lovely message!! my friend Barb never did filming before and, all considering, she did a great job. the wind was not our friend, oh well!!
Lulu, I love your energy and vibe. Thank you for sharing your build. I got a lot of ideas for when I get on the road!
hello!!! thanks for your note!! I've ripped that entire build out and I'm in the process of the new build, with lots more good ideas!!! stay tuned!! Lulu
What a delightful human being. I just love her!!! Genius ideas too!
Lulu is a joy.

All these “little old ladies” with their thrown together mini-vans are rockin’ vanlife harder than than those kids in the Sprinters!
YEAH!! the senior vanlife community is filled with badass women!
Very efficient and cool
@ min 7:25... "You learn, and then you go." LOVE it! This lady is a QUEEN and I am here for it all day.

Looks good and efficient. I love your cooler setup. Bungies are your friends!
Good luck in your travels And with your UA-cam channel.
yeah, bungees are good, I just think they are eyesores. but I've surrendered!! lol
@@LulusWay64 I'm with you, a love hate relationship
I love the cooler on its side! Innovative.
that was my friend Bob's idea, smart fella!!!
Awesome. Built Lulu as it fits YOU! Great, simple, ptractical! Bravo!

Good job Lulu. A lot of out of the box thinking.
How funny...😁surrender to the bungee.....they do have an element of usefulness....lol

hi Lisa!! I'm so glad you are here!! thanks for your positive message to me! Lulu
Surrender to the bungie. What a hoot. You are extremely organized and figured out how everything works so well.
Thanks for the tour Lulu! You’ve done an amazing job with your van. I thought your photographer did an excellent job 😊Safe and happy travels ❤
hi San Dee!! thanks and yes, my friend Barb did a great job, no experience and she just stepped up like a good friend and did it for me!! people are good!! Lulu
Lulu, Very nice job! 👌 Have a blessed and beautiful day ✨️ ❤️! LUCRETIA
New subbie! Oh my goodness, I just love your setup especially the frig, what a brilliant idea. I’m rethinking my set up. I’m getting ready to get on the road again. Wonderful video. Thank you for sharing your wonderful ideas. Deb.
hi Deb! thanks for your lovely note to me!! I'm so glad you are here!! Lulu
Living my life now vicariously through you!
I thought about your approach to food in the middle of a birthday party Saturday! I like the separation you make between nourishment and socializing. Enjoying the layout in the new van!
hi Terri! you made my day!! I love that you thought of that at the birthday party. it's really true, huh? when you are there and there are people and there is talking and hugging and just being together, the food part of it is TOTALLY separate, yet we seem to always make food the focus.
I for one would be very interested in recipes for how you cook clean on the road. I’m guessing you’re vegan if not pescatarian, so I think, if you would, make a cookbook for the rest of us who would like to eat something besides potato chips. Lol.
Hey Lulu😊
I enjoyed the tour.
I love the simplicity of the build and that you need very little to be happy and content. ✌️ out!!
hi Frana!! thanks for your nice note to me!! I'm so glad you enjoyed the tour and I'm glad you are here! Lulu
Lovely Lulu!
So resourceful! I live in a caravan but when I was decking it out I had literally zero idea of how to make it functional and efficient. I wish I had have thought about going to YT for invaluable information like this. Videos like this are now helping me to make small mods and streamline the way I live. Thank you.
we are all making mods all the time! even when we watch videos for the valuable info and go forward, we still make tweaks to our builds . . . it's half the fun!!! 😊
What a wonderful, well planned build! ❤
Wow. You recently sent me a link for your shorter hair and I found myself exploring your older videos. I've been watching the birth of your current van. I'm seeing your van in its toddler years! LOL The thought behind what I now know of your van is amazing. I can totally see how you have blossomed and grown as a UA-camr. You bring such joy to so many. :)
oh, thanks so much for your kind words!! yes, every tiny step along the way of all the choices I made for my current built is on youtube. it was such a wonderful experience building this out and making it perfect for me! 😊
Wow!! I'm amazed at how well you made use of all the space Lulu!! You have a great system going on in there!! So happy for you!
thanks so much!! for now, it's working out! it's a little tight but I'm having too much fun to be annoyed! :)
HaHa!! "I had to surrender to the bungee." So funny! Your ongoing frozen packs are a game changer! Thank you! Happy Travels!
hi JT!! I'm learning to appreciate the bungee!! haha . . . I'm glad you are here!! Lulu
I am really impressed by your no build van. Everything is well thought through
Love the tidynes and functionality.
I'm glad you are loving the van life experience!
hi Helana!! thanks for your nice note to me!! I'm so glad you are here! Lulu
I'm really impressed with your ability to tetris all of your things. You have created the most comfortable and functional small, portable living space I've ever seen 👏🙌
hey Van!! thanks for your supportive note to me. it was so fun throwing that build together with just junk I had laying around. it was very comfortable and worked well for that road trip, but I need to make better use of the space, I have new big ideas!! I ripped it all out the other day (see video here: ua-cam.com/video/ba9UO6vhKLA/v-deo.html) and there is a new build coming, stay tuned!! Lulu
I saw your original build and it was ingenious but this is spectacular. I love the cooler on its side.
hi there!! thanks so much! I'm so glad you are here! Lulu
Thanks for sharing! You have a awesome setup! I love it! 👍 ❤️ Oh my that's 2 funny all the Senior ladies flashed you! That' had me laughing so hard I was crying 😆 🤣 😂
hi there!! glad you enjoyed the tour! yes, that was so funny, I couldn't believe my eyes! HAHA
You're an inspiration Lulu! You're the first one who has addressed having a wholefood plant based diet on the road, this is one of the reasons I haven't gone for a van yet, but you're killing it. It's really important! I'm not so much into supplements even though I am mainly plant based but, the one non negotiable thing is vitamin D3 and K2 which keeps your immune system and cardiovascular system in great condition. I do eat a ton of nuts and seeds, they go on or in everything I eat and I just aim to get 30 different plants a week (that includes nuts, seeds and coffee which, apparently is where most people get their fibre from these days, who knew, coffee is jet fuel for your gut microbes but I dont drink it after 10am because it will mess with your sleep). Your video here has really given me a lot to think about. It's so amazing to see women of a certain age getting out there and living! You're exactly the same age as me, and yes, keeping the food clean and not ultra processed is a wonderful thing.
hi there!! thanks for your note!! sounds like you are killing it too!! taking care of myself is #1 priority and I was really drawn to vanlife, so I just HAD to make it work, and I DID IT, and others can too, so I figured I'd show ya how! YAY!! I'm glad you are here, Foxie!! Lulu
You are beautiful. A natural entertainer and you are just so happy and relaxed. You nourish my soul. This is what I will be doing soon, and I hope I do it as well as you. Stay happy Lulu. ❤
hi Jo!! you can do it well too!! I just stay focused on all that brings me joy and then just do it!! so excited for you that you'll be doing this soon, ENJOY!! Lulu
Brilliant setup and organization. You have a wonderful personality too. I truly enjoyed your video.
thanks Pa!! I'm so glad you are here!! Lulu
Thank you for sharing Lulu, I am new here! Yes, go get your joy ever day just by living it good. Keep up the good work! You gave some awesome ideas. Nice. You must be a earth sign, more like a Capricorn by liking it to have all organise.. Namaste 🙏💯👍💖

OMG! Your van is amazing. I love how you have repurposed so many things to do your “build”. Incredible. I love how you’ve created solutions to all your problems. I’d love to know what all your supplements are sometime. TFS.
hi Eliz!! I love to repurpose, reuse, recycling, I love thrift stores, and so the first place I look for anything is in my garage, and I found everything I needed!! so cool!! one day I will do a video on my supplement regime, it's pretty intense but I love it!! Lulu

The BEST throw together!! Neat, clean, organized, and healthy !! Good for you, Lulu👍👏👏👏 All good things, as you enjoy the adventure called life❣️ 🥰 🙏
thanks Mary Lou!! I love my van and I love my adventures!! I'm glad you are here! Lulu
YEP! LIFE IS GOOD...hence the name. Great job on your van. It's really, really nice.
Hi Lulu! I was excited when I got my notification of this video and you certainly didn't disappoint. Again, you have great ideas and everything is perfect for your needs. And THAT is what is all about, right?! It's Lulu's way!!
I was thinking that maybe you could create something to rest on your cooler lid as it lays open to act as a table. It could be a nice place to eat during inclement weather.
Again, big thumbs up, Lulu!!
Happy and safe travels. ❤️
hi there!! I did think about using the cooler lid as a little table, and I do use it when I am taking things in and out, but I really don't want to leave the lid open too long, I like to keep my freezer packs cold as long as possible!!
Oh yeah. I didn't think about that. Duh!!
You are inspiring, LULU..😢😢Bless you, girl…what an ingenious build!!!!
hi Leonie!!! thank you so much! I'm glad you are here!! Lulu
Hi lulu. You are such an inspiration. Your positive attitude is beautiful. I removed my passenger seat from my small NV 200 and it allows for so much extra room especially since my van is narrow and short. Hope to meet you someday. Safe travels.
hi Vicky!! thanks for your nice message!! I am considering removing the passenger seat too. what do you keep in that space?
Good vid! Barb did awesome too🥰
Lulu I am from Boston and currently touring the country with my husband in a 2019 Suburban using a Clam Pavilion as a tent and we have a folding platform bed. You are such an inspiration, this is an amazing no build van, I share your passion for organization and wish you continued joy on the road and in nature!!
hi Carol!! thanks for your super sweet note to me!! sounds like you and hubs are out living the dream!! YAY YOU GUYS!! so happy you enjoyed my van tour and felt inspired. enjoy the rest of your tour of the USA!!! Lulu
You give such good information. Thank you. Unfortunately I missed some of what you said because of the wind noise in the mic. I’ve learned to cover the mic on my cellphone with any cloth or even a rubber glove! It eliminates that wind noise! Love your van build and all your clever hacks. I really enjoyed watching😊
yes, I addressed the wind noise in the description part of my video post. it was unfortunate. I'm new at this youtubing thing!! thanks for you tips!!! Lulu
Ms. Lulu. You are a genius! I absolutely love the cooler/fridge set up. Just put it on its side. Who knew! Beautiful, clean and organized! Wow! I just love it all! Thanks for sharing.
hello Madeline!!! yes, my friend Bob came up with that cooler on the side idea, genius!!! I'm so glad you are here!! Lulu
Awesome tour Lulu 👏👏👏! I’m looking forward to my first meet up with the tribe , hopefully, soon. Your excitement makes me want to leave home this second. Btw, my name is coed , but I’m female. Jan mentioned this about my name when I joined the tribe. Continue Enjoying the warm temps😊
hi Dale!! will. you be at the meetup in FL in March? I just may be there myself!!
I requested to be put on the March 27th waiting list, 🤞.
I will be in Fl that weekend, I’m traveling to Gibsonton Fl to visit my Aunt.
I don’t know where the 27th event is planned.
I will email you my number and hopefully we can meet if I can’t get on the event list?
@@dalerobinson5423 Hi Dale, I'm also a female Dale! It's always great to meet another Dale! I've met a few of us over the years, mostly born in the 50's like me. I've always used Roy Rogers and Dale Evans as a reference to another girl named Dale. The older I get, the younger folks don't know who that is!
😊
The ladies and their shenanigans cracked me up. 😂 Reminded me of the “Calendar Girls” movie from 2004.
haha!! I tell ya, these 70yo ladies are FIESTY!!! haha
This lady is so organized. I enjoyed seeing how arranged her van and learning how she used everything. Best wishes as you continue your life forward. God bless and keep yo! Marie from S C.😅

hi Nora!! thanks for your nice message!! I'm so grateful you are here!! Lulu
Best video ever !!! Love your setup, great use of space and so nicely thought out for what is important to you. ❤❤❤
hi Tracy!! thanks for your nice message to me!! I love my little campervan. every day I use it, it feels more spacious and less jam-packed than it did when I left for my trip. nothing's changed except perhaps my mind keeps opening and my acceptance is growing. I'm so glad you are here!! Lulu
You covered all the bases. I already ordered the Tooenjoy while you were showing how to use it. Practical!
I’ve enjoyed your video more than any other I’ve seen! Marvelous! I’ve been watching vanlife videos for approx. 2yrs. You have a most clever “non-build” build ever, and are an impressive example of being a resourceful person. Thx for posting this - I’ll click on being a follower!
hi Maribeth!! I'm so glad you are here!! thanks for the terrific feedback! Lulu
Surrender to the Bungee!!! Your so fun, Love that you made it work for you and your needs. Your cooler set up is so clever.
hi there!! thanks for your nice note!!! I'm so glad you are here! Lulu
Well done for a ‘throw together’ build.
I like your idea of the cooler/ice maker. On my last trip to Florida,
I did something similar in that I turned an old Coleman into a ‘Franken-cooler’ by insulating it REALLY well. I had 5 frozen plastic bottles of water (1qt. each) and that kept my food cold for 12 days. There was still ice in the middle bottle when I got home. No need to buy ice, no swimming food. I love it!
haha!!
I just found this video and absolutely adore you! You have inspired me more than you know! I’m 54 and have been one of “those” sitting watching UA-cam videos for 9 months. ‘Bout time I get off my keister and come sit by the fire with you and your friends!!
hi Jenifer!! thanks for your lovely note to me!! I appreciate it!! so happy to know you feel inspired to get off your keister and get camping!!! I'm glad you are here!! Lulu
You are so talented. Your outright was spot on. What you eat is your business. Yes the cleaner and healthy foods you eat the healthy and happy you will be. Thanks for the content. I hope to build a relatively no build van soon. Enjoy your life!
hi Jane!! so glad you are here!! Lulu
Beautiful set up, may God protect you always.
I wish I was brave like you to live my dream! I can live vicariously through you, that's the best I can hope for!
Thank you
hello Jayne! thanks for your note! the set up worked very well for me on my two month road trip, but I'm home now and I ripped everything out and I'm starting over with new bigger and better ideas!! stay tuned!!! Lulu
Hi, Lulu! Love your set-up! I'm so glad you found warm, sunny Florida...warms me up in wintry St. Louis just watching!
hi Kathy! the weather feels soooo good!!! I'm grateful!! Lulu
I love how well thought out your van is. I also like that you eat "clean!" You are absolutely right about how you do it. Our society is so malnourished and obese because of all of the convenience foods. You've done an AWESOME job! I'm glad I found your channel.
hi daymon!!! thanks for your nice note!! welcome and I'm glad you are here!! Lulu
Good for you, LuLu!! You are an inspiration. I look forward to following you!
hi Barb!! I'm glad you are here!! Lulu
The cooler idea is brilliant. I like everything about this van
thanks Connie!! I love it too!! I will enjoy the more permanent build I have in mind, and will work on it this spring!! I'm glad you are here!! Lulu
First time running into your channel. I love your personality so much that I subscribed. I look forward to enjoying your journey with you! Keep smiling and keep living, Lulu!
thanks for such a lovely message to me!! I'm so glad you are here!! Lulu
Great job, Lulu. Great use of space, very neat, brilliant idea for a good size fridge.
thanks Bonnie!!
Very well thought out and designed to fit your specific needs which you don't really see in some of the standard sized van builds. The placement of each "cabinet" or storage bin shows that you probably spent a few months "camping" in it to figure out where you wanted to put each item. Good use of recycling materials and cabinet and other storage bins! Love your design for easy access to all your necessary items. There was one technical issue with the wind making it difficult to understand you. A "dead cat" or fake fur cover would cut the wind noise and make any future videos much clearer on the voice end of your videos. Just a thought. Happy trails and safe travels to you on the road ahead.
hi Wendy!! thanks for your note to me!! yes, I'm a real "thinker" and I play out what I do and how I'll use it and then find the logical spot for it that makes the most sense. I keep tweaking it though!! yes, the wind noise was unfortunate, I hadn't a clue what I was doing with filming but I was just doing it anyway, and I posted it anyway!! when I get back to Boston and work on my permanent build, I will do a van tour of that build and it will (hopefully) be a better filming job! LOL I'm glad you are here! Lulu
So many great ideas. Loveable lady….so much energy. I wish you well in all that you do🦋🦘
hi Catherine!! thanks so much for your sweet note to me!! I'm glad you are here! Lulu
