But also, I just wanted to give a virtual hug to you. You are such a warrior, and I love your honesty and how you share your innermost feelings. I appreciate how you express yourself so much.
Last week you said in your vlog about how you sometimes felt that you were "in the way of everybody" but also felt invisible at the same time. That really landed with me and I've thought about that so much since then. It's just something that I am forever going to be mindful of. You have a wonderful way of putting things into words, and that particular phrase is something that is going to stay with me for a long time for so many reasons.
Just know that you are an amazing person. And that is all!

Thank you for saying that it’s ok to let things take time. I relate to this so much. People have said to me all my life “you think to much. Just let it go”. But that is just the way I am. It’s like somebody telling me “stop being yourself”. Because thinking a lot is who I am, it’s a part of my personality and I am trying now to be proud of that 🌸

I’m 56 and my husband and I have 5 grandkids, I have shared ‘HYDRATION’ with them the 4 yo and 3 yo grandsons laugh so hard when I say it like you and they grab their water bottles and copy me. Hey Lauren! New viewer here from Cozy K, and I’ve been watching a lot of your vlogs ever since. I tried leaving a comment on your latest vid, but I kept getting nervous and deleting them because I’ve been dealing with anxiety, so my apologies.
Just wanted to say that your aunt is filled with so much wisdom. I had a platonic friendship with a guy, and it ended up becoming toxic when the glue that held it together, which was our previous jobs at a condominium, fell apart. It sucked having to move on, but your aunt is right that we have to do so instead of trying to keep friendships like that going. I’ve accepted that it was probably a once in a lifetime friendship for a moment in time in my life when I needed it most now. And I’m at peace with that after watching this video.

Agreed about the timeline of healing from trauma, it's very much a journey. Your videos always make me smile. It's catch up time with a friend. I missed the kitchen in a cupboard song! It's the reason I subscribed years ago after watching your tiny apartment tour. Having less things to maintain will always decrease stress. 😄

With food waste, my hack is.. I have a white/black board (we’ll I have a 3 actually- you can have one if you’d like) with Monday-Sunday on which I write in what I’m going to make (at least for dinners each week) from what I’ve got in the fridge/what’s going off when, what I want to use up. Makes it kinda fun, feels a little like a restaurant, I’m more likely to make things I’ll get excited to eat and not leave things til I’m starving hungry and then order a takeaway instead (which was my go to).
Would highly recommend and it’s so satisfying writing on it and wiping it off hehe
I put my medication in a little pill container that looks like a strip that says Monday through Sunday. I put it right by my bed on the nightstand by my water and I usually don’t ever forget. I’m also on citalopram. And I always take it at night. Glad it’s working for you.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who forgets to take medication. I have mine to hand on the table, an arm reach away, and I'll still forget. I recently lost my mum, so taking my medication is a must to keep me a float. But sometimes it's too much of a struggle 😪

Hey lovely 🌹. Makes my Sunday evening to see your vlogs! I have been on antidpressants (SSRIs) for years. Hate taking them but makes life manageable. If you need to take them dont feel bad. I also was in a toxic relationship - again don't blame yourself, all we can do is learn and think of the experience as a motivator to be the best version of ourselves. You do so well with this channel, you inspire other women and help them in ways you will never know, so be proud of yourself and pat yourself on the back. 😊 It is not easy to be vulnerable online particularly on UA-cam which is notorious for 'hate comments' so kudos to you for creating an ecosystem where all comments are positive towards you and your viewers.

Hey! I’ve just come across your videos & I’m relating to you so much! I’ve been through a similar journey to you with regards to anxiety & depression & your whole vibe is very much like me. I have just been diagnosed with adhd at 39 I’ve known for a while I had it through research during lockdown but I think you should look into it - anxiety & depression can be a side effect of untreated adhd. I was on 150 sertraline from losing my mam 8 years ago, (the on your own time is true thank you)… I managed to come off them for 3 years, I’ve had stomach problems and feeling sick all the time, didnt realised it’s anxiety till you spoke about it. Now I’m taking 40mg propranolol and 50mg sertraline together for the last 2 1/2 weeks, I feel like I’m gaining control again not just attack after attack, it’s new to me and I’m trying to understand, the more I talk about it and the similarities we have I think it’s been showing its self in different ways for a while and I didn’t realise till I got to where I am now.

And same as you they have been great, but can still have down days, We arevery similar in our ways as well, My hubby only has to come home from work look at me to know its not a good day. He is the best. Citalopram is my happy pill too, I'm now down to just 10mg and still ticking over ok. Hoping to come off them at some time in the future. I take my with my morning coffee and keep them right by where i sit to drink it. Don't fret to much though if you forget the odd one it takes some time for them to get out of your system.

Hi Lauren I was on sertraline and it didn’t work for me so I spoke to my GP and came off it gradually and I started therapy and EFT(tapping) which has been helping, regarding friendship I have a longtime friend and to be honest I have spent years trying to help her and be a friend to her but when I had my breakdown in 1992 she walked away when I needed her and even though I have always tried to justify it this has happened on more than one occasion and now I feel now that I need to move on from her (I feel bad saying that) I Just realise now we have to look after our mental health and do what is right for us, I enjoyed this vlog and thank you for being so honest with us I love your vlogs and I hope you had a wonderful birthday ❤

Hey girlie! I’d love to see the egg poacher pan in action. I’ve debated getting one. We too only have a few pots and pans. I inherited a bunch from my Dad in 2006. In 2012 we got rid of them (actually threw them out) because they were Teflon and we wanted to live more minimally. It was a dozen pots and pans. So freeing. Great to see ya! Happy belated!💃🏽🎉❤️

I LOVE rain in the car! I want to sit in the car all of us, me and my kids and partner next time it rains heavy but my partner thinks it's silly! I'm going to next time it rains 😊 my partner was on both those medications years ago. He is off them for years and years now, and is fine except for maybe some anxiety I give him ha ha.I hope you find someone Lauren you would make someone very happy.

I have a little weekly pill container with the days of the week. I fill it up on Sunday and have it on my desk so I see it and remember. Much easier than if I just had them in their bottle, and I couldn’t remember if I took it that day or not.

You’ll find the perfect medication dosage/types just stay aware of how they seem to be working. I’m on a combo, Wellbutrin and Sertraline. Been on them all and I will be for the rest of my life, once I came to terms with that I really was invested in finding the perfect ones that make my life sssooooooo much better. They will likely have to change up in the future, but maybe just the dosage. 🤞. I wish I had found this effectiveness earlier in life. ❤❤❤

SSRI's were way too strong for me. I was non functioning on them, Then I was switched to Buspirone OMG what a difference! Helps a lot with my anxiety. I never skip because it works that well.

Hey doll. I’ve been on 10mg of Citalopram since my youngest son was born 17 years ago…it’s such a small dose but it controls the majority of my anxiety. It keeps me balanced. Life is hard enough without struggling when you don’t need to. I was very reluctant in the beginning but I don’t even think about it now ❤
