Imagine a MERLIN who had little tolerances for mistakes and cussed like a drunken sailor! THAT was my uncle JIM! To teach me how to weld at the age of 8 he dumped a pile of scrap steel on the ground outside the door to the shop and handed me a hood and some rods and said(when you can make it stick together WE will tear it apart and do it again) WE meaning ME😨 by the end of that summer he had me welding roll cages and grill guard's for his Four X Four shop! 😁 he passed away 5 yrs ago- I miss him dearly! People come up to me all the time and start talking to me thinking I'm him- we look identical! As every male on my mom's side of my family we all look like clones!

This was fun to watch! The fact you let Wes do most of the work is what more kids need. Even dad got in on the learning that's awesome! This episode seemed like going to the high school auto shop teachers Home Garage knowing that you are in good knowledgeable hands! Wes is going to have a really cool looking truck when it gets done and knowing he did most of the work is going to allow him to have the confidence when he breaks down somewhere that he can fix it and that knowledge is priceless! Keep up the great content and work!

My youngest daughter is finishing reviving her 50 Chevy for her first vehicle she's making me be supervisor because she wants to be able to tell the snobby boys what she did to her truck and let them know she built hers daddy didn't write a check for what she pointed at it was the first truck her great grandfather bought new we drug it out of the back of the old machine she'd last summer and tore it apart it's hard not jumping in and doing stuff to get it done faster but it's also a proud moment knowing she can do it and actually learned while helping in the shop after it's finished she had a rear window banner made that says built not bought her next project is a late 50s apache grain truck we're going to build a 13 ft flatbed for it and put 4x4 1 ton axles and suspension with an LS and a 5 speed to pull her horse trailer in style

He will likely do the same one day with his son or a nephew or neighbor kid in his town, as it should be. We can't wait to see this project build progress with Wes. We really like seeing Jimmy in your videos too, you and he are obviously good friends and he knows some things he can share or help out with which is great. They build those Hummers in my backyard litterly. I built a substation at that GM plant last year because of the electric needed at the factory to produce/charge electric Hummers. Biden gave GM some crazy amount of $ to update that GM plant. The day he came to the plant all of us construction workers had mandatory day off. Cause all the media coverage from last time he came to a job site in Detroit pissing off construction workers lol.
