I worked in Coney Games while it ran with a backward side. That side ran along the back of our games. At night when we went to the plush barn or to fill the water coolers we would walk along the track. We had flashlights with us and I would occasionally stand right next to the track facing toward the station at the lowest dip with the light shining in my face. Occasionally riders would scream! I like to think there are people that remember that experience. Eventually I was caught and told not to do anymore. Mark
My dad always says the backwards racer is the former attraction he misses the most. I wish they would turn it backwards again even if it was for a single season or perhaps a weekend. You know the die hards would come out for it
I miss the one side being a backwards experience. It would be cool if they could some how make 1 out of every 3 trains a backwards traveling coaster so ppl would be able to experience this still!!
Here's the real reason. You can get away with running one side or the other. Longer uptimes. Literally have a backup coaster when it's ran as single. As a guest loved backwards racer and would ride both sides. But money. It ain't happenin. To cost efficient in it's current set up.

I wish they would bring it back! Especially after all the retracking made it so much smoother.
Backward racer was incredible. Im so grateful i had many years to enjoy it.
I wish they would bring it back! This was how I remember it as a kid.

The best view of the Racer is from the top of Banshee lift hill. It is aligned so the view is directly down the track. Was this alignment planned?
My dad tricked me into the backward line when I was a kid. I love the memories. But I was terrified
Could you possibly name drop the Cedar Fair executives lol?
What if they have 1 forward and 1 backwards train in each side

I think they should alternate backward cars if possible. Everyother car is backwards on each side.
Nobody submitted a question?
I wish the would bring it back, you could do no improvements for 2 years and just bring the backwards racer back and make so many people happy

Discontinuing the backwards racer was one of the dumbest ideas Cedar Fair ever made. How about bringing back the last bunny hill?
Definitely agreed!
