- A 38-year-old man is in critical condition after being hit by a roller coaster at Kings Island on Wednesday.
The incident happened around 8 p.m. when police said the guest, a 38-year-old man from Ohio, hopped the fence and entered a restricted area of the Banshee ride to search for his keys.

Getting in a restricted area and being struck by a coaster that is five feet off the ground automatically spells "idiot". I'm glad nobody on the ride was hurt.

This man had a sense of entitlement and anyone who is saying they should have stopped the ride for him to retrieve his keys instead of waiting for the park to close are all entitled as well. These rules are in place for a reason. This is a prime example of play stupid games win stupid prizes but hey Summer is the fuck around and find out season and it’s only the beginning.

U mean after he tried to commit suicide. Cause he was fully aware of what could happen entering that restricted area.
He could have requested the ride to be stopped while an authorized person retrieved his keys but he didn’t even attempt to do that through the correct channels.

I’m am sorry this guy didn’t think his actions through. He put himself in extreme danger and now his family will have their lives altered , especially if he survives and has long term significant issues. I do hope he does well and heals.

Arntanaro Nelson reported to be dead now. He was one of the Low Impulse Control Crowd. He was also involved in a stabbing previously at a fair in 2015. Seems amusement parks/fairs just wasn't his lucky place.

@@JT-kv8pryou obviously aren't familiar with THIS type of coaster. It's nearly impossible for someone who's on the ground to get hit by this ride without coming into contact with a passenger while doing so.

Still, the guy that got kicked in the head at 68 MPH I'm sure would say it was more traumatic for him than those kicking him in the head. Why do witnesses always make it about them?
The guy chose to do something incredibly dangerous and because of that very stupid decision, a traumatic event occurred-the people riding the roller coaster chose to ride a roller coaster, that’s the difference.
