For me learning from Ethan Becker is the definition of "aim for the moon and you'll land among the stars" As a student there's a lot of things that I have yet to get a grasp on, but thanks to him I am able to do much better than I did, let's say, a week ago. It's amazing!
One thing I really appreciate about your content is that not only are you teaching really solid fundamentals and habits, but your commentary is so funny on several levels; the kind of self-deprecating character you sometimes affect has for me the same kind of vibes as the "you suck at photoshop" series, really shows off how thoughtful you are in your approach to teaching. Actually, that was really helpful! I usually tend to do my backgrounds first before rendering the character though so that I can get the lighting down pretty well. Unless it’s a portrait painting or study, of course, for which blurring the BG seems about right 😂
