Kripp created a C'Thun-Zoo hybrid Warlock deck, in which Usher of Souls buffed C'Thun by +10/+10, +5/+5 and +5/+5 in three games. P.S. Opponent's Bane of Doom summoned a Blood Imp. You're welcome.
You're my new favourite Kripperino. I always watch the Kripp and then click onto the next video when he shows his "examples" of the card doing what he's just said. Much appreciated. Hat's off to you.
Wonders how the card never took off and then proceeds to play it like any regular 5 mana 5/6 with basically no effect because the games tend to end way before C'Thun.
Yeah, keep in mind that when zoo loses it's often because it runs out a steam on the board and then fails to draw enough burst at the end to finish the job. A giant C'thun in the background means that any given draw can be enough even if your opponent is still at half health, a threat like that warps how the entire matchup needs to be played.
Kill the Usher, and you leave behind the Councilman and other dangerous threats. Basically, kill the Usher and the zoo kills you. Kill the zoo and the C'thun kills you. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. That is the strength of the Usher of Souls.
I think it's playable, but I think it went to the wrong class. In each game his Usher buffed C'thun by atleast 5/5, so thats something. If it was a paladin card it'd be a lot better and see a lot more play since you could just pile up on your 1/1 summoners. If it was neutral, then I think it'd be a staple in any C'thun deck. It's just unfortunate that it never saw play because I think it is a very strong card.
True but the real strength of C'Thun Zoo over normal zoo is that you can close out games when normal zoo decks would run out of steam. C'Thun is your backup plan. Of course when you just steamroll your opponents it doesn't matter.
more like nerf every single 1 mana 1/3 cost to 2 seems balanced then, look at other "stacking" cards, the 1 mana 1/3 has almost 2-drop stats. where's 2 mana 3/3 then? if 1-drops can me as powerful as 2 drops why 2-drop can't be as powerful as 3-drops?
C'Thun Zoo might be an interesting experiment for my 100% f2p account, but I already lucked out and got two Doomsayers, and my games rarely stretch out to turn 10 whether I win or lose.
yeah I made a slightly more control-y c'thun Zoo with usher which was a lot more fun than typical zoo. I liked the more control oriented style and thought it worked out pretty good. yeah, you can see in game 1 that he didn't even need c'thun to win. easy lethal. My deck didn't rely on just cthun as finisher and instead planned to play twin emp after usher
aja jaja I mean the larger bodies in the deck makes it harder to clear his board compared to regular zoo. The problem is that this deck would have a much harder time against almost every other warrior deck (the mirror would be awful and Dragon would be just as bad).
My first deck in WotOG was C'Theno N'Zeed lock. C'thun Reno Dreadsteed N'zoth, it was all right, zoo was just better but usher of souls was always fun, decent body, could get a decent buff if drawn early got a silly buff if drawn late and played onto a board of steeds.
I used usher of souls in my Reno c'thun I took to legend a few seasons back. The card did more good for me than bad, especially since I hate more taunt than usual.
Alex Lopez I mean handlock definitely won't be viable when Reno leaves standard because that is pretty much the only real healing the deck has left. Unless Warlock gets really good healing (like AHB or Reno) in Gadgetzan or the next set then the deck is just gone because constantly tapping with no good healing is just going to get you killed against combo or midrange.
its actually hyene for Warlock. Just works same. I play this deck for a 2 months . and sometimes its insane bcz i have lategame. Just 2 pandas, brann , 1-2 usher of souls :) thank you for showing its power :)
agreed, its probably the only mod project that's still somewhat ongoing and has more than 5 players. while the early gearing might feel too easy for a true nl_kripp, the later uberlevels should prove to be a decent past time
After I saw this I tried this deck out, it's pretty fun and also pretty effective (although my decklist is a bit different, I put in a farseer and a helfire and I had to replace imp gang boss with imp master because I have no imp gang boss)
The only time Kripp played C'thun on this video, it was BM and he had to delay his win by one turn. In other words, he would be better off using Pit Fighter instead of Usher of Souls :p
Do you even play hearthstone? He didnt win only thanks to 5/6, but the fact that opponent had to play around c'thun. Opponents most likely couldnt afford to remove Usher with hard removal thats why it was so good.
First: it was obviously a joke. Usher of Souls is strictly better than Pit Fighter, and that's a pure analytical result, no one needs to play Hearthstone to know that, it's just a matter of analysing the cards. Second: your argument makes 0 sense. If the opponent couldn't afford spending a hard removal on Usher, he wouldn't hard remove the Pit Fighter, either.
I play C'thun Warlock and I use to be rank 13 or 14, and I still have fun when I play Usher of Souls and the enemy keeps his mouse on the card to read the text 'cuz is the first time he see the card.
The last two clips were essentially "How good is Pit Fighter?". Buffing C'Thun means nothing if you win before you need to play him. If you want to talk about how good Usher of Souls is, you should pick clips that show it doing something a Pit Fighter couldn't.
Man this gameplay makes me wonder why zoothun never became a deck, It has all the cancer of zoo with the finisher of cthun. Maybe discard just has more gas, Idk.
It's bad because your deck is watering down into two diametrical gameplans. One where you beat your opponent down in the early game, and an entirely different one where you want to survive long enough to cast C'thun and win.
Ha, funny, i've been trying to make her work the last ~2-3 days and she just wont. I constantly lose the board to curving shamans and dragon warriors. That 3/3 charge for 2 mana is insane, my c'thun early cards cant keep up
Usher of Souls didn't have an effect on any of those games. It could have been a normal 5-6 and the games would have unfolded the same way. It only gave you an alternate win condition that you never needed.
I agree and that's I'm sure what he was thinking, but I think twin emps just fits in any c'thun. Just like pretty much any pally deck can fit in tirion
HighLanderPony I think it's something if you opponent has a huge minion on board. You play Usher of Souls then trade your little minions into it. That's at least +3+3
Klaidas B-vas yeah but it can be useful for matches when your opponent survives with a lot of health because they have lots of control or health gain, that's why I like my N'zoth hunter because it allows me to have a big threat if the match lasts too long
Kripp created a C'Thun-Zoo hybrid Warlock deck, in which Usher of Souls buffed C'Thun by +10/+10, +5/+5 and +5/+5 in three games.
P.S. Opponent's Bane of Doom summoned a Blood Imp. You're welcome.
Spoilerino Kripperino thank you (((((

Then he died in a cruel way.
The end.

Unless that card is Yogg.

You don't beat him
but kripp cant beat anyone...
Skipperino Kripperino
Skipperino Kripperino
Usher of Souls wasn't just seen at ranks 19-20. It was also seen in the Dreadsteed Tavern Brawl
How good is Usher? He hasn't really been dominant in the meta since the 2000s
I see what you did there.
he did make one of the most cancer thing ever that dominant the meta: Justin Bieber.
He's no longer in standard though.
Although he is seeing some play in wild, with the "No Limit" Deck, based off of his effect
How good is Usher ? Well... he is r&b king, he has to be great
2996 souls were Usher'd on that one day.
Umm... this is a really black humor.
so edgy, wow
Twin Towerino Kripperino damn, you Hit it harder than a freshly born child!
s0denone Excuse mai bed englash, freiend
Dakisanji which incidentally isn't really that hard dince newly born children lack the ability to throw hard punches
Wonders how the card never took off and then proceeds to play it like any regular 5 mana 5/6 with basically no effect because the games tend to end way before C'Thun.
Even though C'Thun wasn't played it impacted the game because it was a looming threat and influenced the plays of the OP
Obviously not, otherwise they would have killed the Usher.
Kill the Usher, and you leave behind the Councilman and other dangerous threats.
Basically, kill the Usher and the zoo kills you. Kill the zoo and the C'thun kills you.
Damned if you do, damned if you don't. That is the strength of the Usher of Souls.
Well they didnt kill usher and die from zoo still. The card could have been a 5/6 textless.
Сегодняшнее пресказание: Крип разгоняет Котуна через Коней Погибели и эту женщину.
Russianerino Kripperino i dont understand a shit but i liked , noice.
Today's prediction: Kripp will buff c'thun through dreadsteed and Usher of souls (no)
Я так и играю, тащемта.
10:43 that brief moment of joy for that froggy feeling useful with power overwhelming #FeelsGoodMan
*Turn 1 Mana Wyrm*
Kripp: It's like game now.
yunikage ,.
Half the decks on ladder for the next week will be C'Thun Warlock. Thanks Kripp
masterchief2552 That would be far less cancerous than the normal deck rotation, so I'm fine with that.
I only play C´Thun deck with Warlock. Normal zoolock is cheap, and I cant use handlock or discard.
Im lacking both cards and skill to use them.
Usher of Souls - The sister of Usher with her new Album, check it out on Radio Kappa... Kappa
I like it because it makes you feel better about having to clear your own board to get rid of a threat.
kripp use the decks correct name
its a C'thun zoo deck, obviously the correct name is c'zoo
gregsmw someone said kazoo?
personally i preferred zoo-boom-a-thun.
I like Kazoo better ;^)
ColossalDonut5
yeah its c'zoo pronounced kazoo
Z'thun? Zoo'thun? Kazoo!?
I think the biggest problem with the minion is that it's a Renolock body with a Zoolock ability. Too conflicting. Darn shame, cause it's good.
If it was gain +2/+2 per minion death, it would potentially be playable.
that would be totally fucking broken
if it was all minions instead of just friendlies, it would see play too
I think it's playable, but I think it went to the wrong class.
Whatever happened to that pay tavern brawl you were talking about a month ago.
It was actually the first c'thun card I tried to build a deck around when old gods were out...
Zoo c'thun, I wanted to believe :(
Well actually any of thse games you would have won without c'thune and usher just being a pitfighter :P
True but the real strength of C'Thun Zoo over normal zoo is that you can close out games when normal zoo decks would run out of steam. C'Thun is your backup plan. Of course when you just steamroll your opponents it doesn't matter.
In this deck, a buffed C'thun is your Yogg. You play it if your about to lose. That or when bm'ing.
Lol that Reno Lock's self BM tap at the end..
How about some Faeria videos?!
Moo
you're crazy
Mad cow disease.
Cowerino Kripperino hahaha at first i thought its a picture of jason bloho 👌
Cowerino Kripperino Lolol
Mana Wyrm should be nerfed to 0/3
John Red no
More like 1/2.
The Napioor or 0/4
more like nerf every single 1 mana 1/3 cost to 2
seems balanced then, look at other "stacking" cards, the 1 mana 1/3 has almost 2-drop stats.
where's 2 mana 3/3 then? if 1-drops can me as powerful as 2 drops why 2-drop can't be as powerful as 3-drops?
John Red 0/3 wouldn't make any difference and 0/4 would be totally OP. only 1/2 seems fair for card like this.
Chtoo was quite good for a week or 2, and Chtun handlock was also playable... For a bit.
Since c'thun was released, the zoo'thun warlock has been my favorite, and the usher was front and center in that deck
Can we not call this deck c'zoon?
johannes Aulei sounds like kazoo'n
C'Thun Zoo might be an interesting experiment for my 100% f2p account, but I already lucked out and got two Doomsayers, and my games rarely stretch out to turn 10 whether I win or lose.
yeah I made a slightly more control-y c'thun Zoo with usher which was a lot more fun than typical zoo. I liked the more control oriented style and thought it worked out pretty good.
yeah, you can see in game 1 that he didn't even need c'thun to win. easy lethal. My deck didn't rely on just cthun as finisher and instead planned to play twin emp after usher
14:27 Nice Tapperino Kripperino
I would have liked to have seen this deck against a control warrior. Seems like a matchup where you might actually need c'thun.
aja jaja I mean the larger bodies in the deck makes it harder to clear his board compared to regular zoo.
I run the Usher of Souls with Dreadsteed in a C'Thun Renolock.
Miika Kilpeläinen you should run Wilfred too because you can play usher for free!!
this was sweet in the charge/taunt brawl
I used usher of souls in my Reno c'thun I took to legend a few seasons back. The card did more good for me than bad, especially since I hate more taunt than usual.
I reached rank 11 using Usher of Souls in a custom Reno C'Thun Warlock. It was a useful card when making trades.
this video inspires me to build a Handlock C'Thun deck
Does discarding minions work with this too
how do you have your deck showin in standart? doesnt it work only in arena?
I use Usher quite a bit in my C'Thun Warlock decks, a shame no one uses her much.
The Handlocks and shit died when Healbots went off standart
Veeti Raussi it still would have been somewhat viable if molten wasn't nerfed
Alex Lopez I mean handlock definitely won't be viable when Reno leaves standard because that is pretty much the only real healing the deck has left. Unless Warlock gets really good healing (like AHB or Reno) in Gadgetzan or the next set then the deck is just gone because constantly tapping with no good healing is just going to get you killed against combo or midrange.
How is his cthun animation so quick. And why doesnt it stop after it killed the opponent?
I was playing practically this exact deck when WoTG first came out
its actually hyene for Warlock. Just works same.
I play this deck for a 2 months . and sometimes its insane bcz i have lategame.
Just 2 pandas, brann , 1-2 usher of souls :)
thank you for showing its power :)
Missed lethal @ 7:15?? Two power overwhelming in hand...
Not missed lethal, he specifically said he wanted to C'thun
Jan Modaal he wanted to play cthun
So is this deck named the Kazoolock? (C'zoo lock)
Cool deck I remember using this card in the beginning of the expansion, but gave up on it
Median XL is a fantastic D2 mod, if you're looking for one to play.
agreed, its probably the only mod project that's still somewhat ongoing and has more than 5 players. while the early gearing might feel too easy for a true nl_kripp, the later uberlevels should prove to be a decent past time
After I saw this I tried this deck out, it's pretty fun and also pretty effective (although my decklist is a bit different, I put in a farseer and a helfire and I had to replace imp gang boss with imp master because I have no imp gang boss)
I put Moroes in my Cthun zoo deck, it's pretty fun, free +1/+1 for cthun every turn while doing damage
Pit Fighter PogChamp
I have never seen this card before.
try with dreadsteed
did that last guy just tap himself into lethal range?
Forget the card text, if you play any decent 5 drop, and it's still on the board 4 turns later, you've already won.
how about decks for climbing ladder without adventures?
The only time Kripp played C'thun on this video, it was BM and he had to delay his win by one turn. In other words, he would be better off using Pit Fighter instead of Usher of Souls :p
he would be better of using what would of been exactly the same card O.O?
He would've won one of the games one turn earlier if his C'thun wasn't big enough to make the C'thun play "mandatory".
Tiago Bruno Reis Actualy he could hard remove pit fighter. The problem was c'thun not 5/6.
I hit rank 4 on my Kazoolock. It's the most underrated deck I've ever seen.
Garrett Johnsen List?
Garrett Johnsen that's because it's just a heavy zoo list ahahha
Garrett Johnsen you mean C'zoolock?
Sure, if you like that better.
KazooieLock
I play C'thun Warlock and I use to be rank 13 or 14, and I still have fun when I play Usher of Souls and the enemy keeps his mouse on the card to read the text 'cuz is the first time he see the card.
Last time I was this early there used to be non agro decks in the meta
wow Warlock, does it still exists?
The last two clips were essentially "How good is Pit Fighter?". Buffing C'Thun means nothing if you win before you need to play him. If you want to talk about how good Usher of Souls is, you should pick clips that show it doing something a Pit Fighter couldn't.
Skipparrian: 2:50
I agree. I think this card is very underrated. I used it a while back but this deck still loses to Shaman so who cares.
i actually run this card in my c'thun zoo deck...and have a 60% win rate in 48 games (29win-19loss)
quack
wow kripp, you played zoo successfully. nice.
I love how people say Arena or riot as if that is going to actually make Kripp play Arena sooner.
I wish power overwhelming worked more like nightmare.
7:35 lethal
Very few kripperinos right now, so little dedication.
C'zoo deck? Awesome!
C'thun Zoo -> C'thoo -> Kazoolock confirmed.
Man this gameplay makes me wonder why zoothun never became a deck, It has all the cancer of zoo with the finisher of cthun. Maybe discard just has more gas, Idk.
Samuel Dureka it's too slow. Discard curves out on 5 and wins way before turn 10
You rite
Kevin, you play c'thun as your plan B for the same reason druids play yog. Zoo loses when it runs out of steam, c'thun fixes that problem
D2 AFTER D1 YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS also upload d1 from stream im sure people would watch
Use it in My Praise c'thun deck and it has won me games
It's bad because your deck is watering down into two diametrical gameplans. One where you beat your opponent down in the early game, and an entirely different one where you want to survive long enough to cast C'thun and win.
C'Thun only got playyed once and in that one case it wasn't actually needed.
Ha, funny, i've been trying to make her work the last ~2-3 days and she just wont. I constantly lose the board to curving shamans and dragon warriors. That 3/3 charge for 2 mana is insane, my c'thun early cards cant keep up
Nice Card.
don't take shots at 18 and 19 there are some really inventive decks there
All I really saw was a Pit Fighter with fancy animations.
The C'Thun part didn't matter at all...
lol i thought it was User of souls all this fukin time....Usher reminds me of that singer guy that hurts our balls on the radio :P
Ricku13 oh Usher.. good old times when everyone in school had his song on his/her Simens c65...
Usher of Souls didn't have an effect on any of those games. It could have been a normal 5-6 and the games would have unfolded the same way. It only gave you an alternate win condition that you never needed.
usher of souls is awesome ive always been using it in my cthun deck, who would think its bad?
Blade of Cthun
i swear kripp always sounds like he had indigestion
needs twin emps
I agree and that's I'm sure what he was thinking, but I think twin emps just fits in any c'thun. Just like pretty much any pally deck can fit in tirion
5 mana deal 2 dmg. If it kills summon a 0/1 demon. It has stealth.
BROKEN!!!
It's the Kazoo deck (C'Zoo)
It's too slow because it triggers on the death of things. Maybe okay with Implosion if it hits for 4, but that's Wild only.
HighLanderPony I think it's something if you opponent has a huge minion on board. You play Usher of Souls then trade your little minions into it. That's at least +3+3
antsyokosuka12 If your opponent has a huge minion, it's better to ignore it and force it to make several trades.
when a 5 mana 5/6 isn't good enough
hahaha i was playing cthun mage and i played fireland portal then this minion appears to me so lucky 😃
My opponent gets one Doomguard after another FeelsBadMan
sometimes you didnt play wrong but you lose because you are not lucky or the card you need it doesnt appear :(
Mirage Life one time I had lethal with lerroy, opponent mage fireland got an fucking earth elemental. thanks trump, now that's a big fucking wall
Pull the lever kronk!
running a C'thun in zoo is kinda the same as running a N'zoth in hunter. you just dont really need it
Klaidas B-vas yeah but it can be useful for matches when your opponent survives with a lot of health because they have lots of control or health gain, that's why I like my N'zoth hunter because it allows me to have a big threat if the match lasts too long
after trying this out at rank 10 it is trash and dont even waste dust trying to craft this deck.
Usher of souls and dreadsteed...good ride!
I use it with dreadsteads, very funny
I thought I was here before the kripps :/
Agustuv Sanchez ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Turn 5 topdeck boys
