I've been using evolved Kobold in my shaman evolve deck since Karahzan came out. It has amazing synergy with Maelstrom portal, and spirit claws. And once you're done using it, you can evolve it into a 5 cost minion instead of just watching it die the next turn. It's been working really good for me.
Kripp faced the combos of Evolved Kobold with Consecration and Fan of Knives respectively in arena and still won anyway. Then he OTK a Face Hunter with Evolved Kobold + 2 Fireballs + 2 Ice Lances. Also OTK a Rogue with Evolved Kobold+Frost Bolt + 2 Ice Lances. In the end Kripp's Freeze Mage has 12-3 win rate. You're welcome.

Don't know if this is sarcasm or not, but if its not then the main reason for the dual loot hoarders is just to draw cards same as with Thalnos, just so you can get your combo faster.

honestly hate this deck, its as uninteractive as shaman is, playing one important minion and pointing lightning bolts (or in this case frost bolts/ice lances) at face is boring. i do love spell damage decks but i just dont like this freeze mage deck. stalling till late game and then bursting someone down from 30-0 is cancer. its like OTK warrior.
in paladin it can be 8mana flamestrike with a 2/2 body for example ... its two cards tho so bit worsem not bad card but since its not aggresive no1 plays it *edit: I wrote this before watching the clips ! :D I was right xD
I was experimenting with a freeze mage near the start of wotg and often the one card that allowed me to win the game through big damage combos was evolved kobolds. I'm not suprised more competent players have started to use it to it's fullest, but I am suprised it's taken this long.
This is a perfect example of why I believe giving a fair review of a card is impossible as soon as it comes out, where you called this card terrible months ago, is now seen in Freeze Mage constructed.

The way the priest lost Cairne was sooooo disappointing.... He overdrew because the bishop revived shade (that's reasonable) but the turn after he plays another Shade, a clearly obvious mistake considering he played Blademaster the turn after that.

I've always had a sweet spot for spell damage when I do play Hearthstone, I usually put evolved in because it let's me compete with top control decks because I simply have more removal (usually spell shaman and rogue)

Obviously from the there you cant KNOW what would have happened, but you do know that Kripp couldnt have played emperor that turn or he would have died to hero power
I have an idea for a new priest card! Any card that can target friendly minions now can target enemy minions! You know how much synergy that would to how many cards? One. Me! We will dominate the meta very soon.
kolento and superJJ both have used this card successfully in malygos rogue so don't know why he seems to think it's only freeze mage that the card is good in!
Freeze mage has no interaction with your opponent... thus making your opponent frustrated because there is nothing interesting about the meta you are playing :(

I like this mage deck. Replaced Bloodmage Thalnos (I don't have it) with The Curator. Gives me a better chance to draw Alex on turn 7 :)
