I saw a bunch of amaaaaazing gmvs on youtube for dragon age so, um, yup. I tried to make one too. Do you love angst, heartbreak, and inescapable hell (and eggs. Shiny shiny eggs)? then you'll love this mess. Also, my Lavellan is a beautiful fire baby and I needed to show her off.
i hope people like it and enjoy watching it as much as i've enjoyed making it (just a lot of evil laughing/ugly sobbing tbh)
All clips are from Bioware's Dragon Age: Inquisition, and I used Final Cut Pro (trial version no waaaaay could I afford the full thing) to edit the video.
(EDIT): Oh wow, I should 100% apologise - haven't been on this UA-cam account in a bit and so haven't replied to people's comments. I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who's watched, liked and commented - you're all amazing! It's been a long old time and I hope once dread wolf is out I can make something as important to me as this video is. thank you!! honestly i used a bunch of face references when i made her, her design changed a lot and i had to redo her SO many times - but i'm glad, i was trying to go for a realistic look so she fit in better with the npc designs.
I clicked on the video and Cole started talking and I immediately started smiling. Both of my favorite characters in this video. :)

Hey! I watched a lot of "Solas/Lavellan" videos before I got to this one. Once I saw this one, I stopped looking because this perfectly captured (I feel like) the true nature of their relationship, executed damn near flawlessly--at least how it made me feel in my experience with it: acknowledge the pain and hurt but keep your priorities straight and your wits about you.
I just wanted to let you know that it was *this video* that inspired me to figure out how to do this and make some of my own. My 'novice' shows quite a bit, but I'm having fun! So thank you for that! :D I have tons of footage and I'm not bored of it yet, so I hope they'll get better. lol
If you're interested, in my latest one, I tried to take an original approach to explore the failed relationship from Solas' perspective (since I haven't seen one yet) with Cole meddling in the drama. Ultimately though, I just wanted to thank you for making this and sharing it and motivating me to join you all in the _"I-can't-seem-to-get-enough-Dragon-Age"_ club. lol
oh my goodness i'm so sorry i didn't reply to your comment sooner!! honestly thank you so so much - that's exactly what I was going for - my lavellan was obviously very hurt by the experience (having been incredibly vulnerable and open with herself beforehand) - trespasser saw her as a much stronger, emotionally distant person who was at first prioritising the inquisition and her people.
I'm so hecking glad I inspired you to make a video - that's exactly what I intended to do since others had done the same for me, and I'll check it out immediately!!

Ula Polak I’m just not prepared for all the feels! But now that I know for sure Solas is going to be, and even possibly be the main baddie, in DA4, I have to romance him now. If not for the feels, because I’m curious how the game might differ depending on if your inquisitor romanced him or not. But with my current Lavellan, totally romancing him.

I'd been spoiled rotten on my first DAI playthrough so I ended up pairing my 'not-so-elfy' Lavellan with Cullen, BUT MAN. THIS COUPLE HERE. They bring on all the angst.

The first time I played this storyline, I just made every main quest with the lowest level, just to see more solavellan cutscenes. 🙈 And then I played trespasser. That was my end. There are too many questions left without an answer (I'm sorry for my english)

Aila Frost I sadly only play on my Xbox so I can't use mods 😭 but I'm sure there are people who would love that, so I think it would be cool to do - and heck, if I ever get to play it on a PC, I could come back!;)
aah that's a shame! I actually think I still have screenshots of my first (unmodded) addy hanging around! but I'll definitely think about it, I'd have to revisit all my old mod folders! and definitely!! I'm hoping to make a second video over summer with an upgraded Adhlea, so we'll see how that goes!

thank you thank you!!!! I recorded everything with bandicam (temperamental, if i could find another software that doesn't crash all the time i'd recommend that), for a majority of scenes i recorded without the music so I could get clear dialogue, however I occasionally recorded with sound effects so I could get the crackling of the anchor, etc. For editing, I used final cut pro, but only the trial version since it's the video editor I feel most comfortable using! hope this helps, If you have any more questions feel free to ask! x

When is the dialogue that Lavellan says at 1:13 spoken in-game? I've not heard that line before.

I haven't completed Trespasser because I cannot deal with this heartache. Also, are you using a mod for these extra outfits and physical customizations?
trespasser was painful! but I'd recommend! it's the best dlc. And yup, I used a fair amount of outfit/hair/skin mods
@@sagecielle Since posting this comment I've only completed Trespasser like 3 times because I keep messing around. The last time was a rushed playthrough for the armor schematics you get at the end
