I’m not okay. Not okay at all.
I legitimately thought it couldn’t get worse, and I was WRONG. It got far, far worse.
I love and hate this romance so much and am very much regretting choosing it for my first play through. Everyone else gets a nice, happy ending and then there’s Solas’ romance. Ahhhh! His is by far my favorite romance, as tragic and heartbreaking as it is. I hope this will have a major impact on the DA4.
Anyways, at least there will be ME:A to fill the gap until DA4. Next Christmas!!
Also, Vivienne and Dorian would be so proud of Solas' improving fashion sense!

I hope if they make another Dragon Age game the it lets you have closure with Solas. They can't have this romance end like this forever. I'd even be happy with a movie or even a book/comic, anything to give me closure.
sadly this will never happen ever. Q,Q well if we are lucky we will get to romance other elvehn gods. I heard some ppl munkling on how dirthamen might appear from the signs told.
I truely wish that there os more Solmance, but ... hm Idk. let's hope!
There probably will end up being closure - they've provided some level of closure for the romances in Origins; which I honestly didn't think they'd be able to. DA2 romances I'm sure we will get closure to in the next game, somehow. Even if it's just a conversation with someone about how Hawke and Isabella met up again and were off adventuring somewhere; but with how the Grey Warden quest in Inquisition ends, I'm sure we'll actually see Hawke again (if he/she is still alive).
Will we get to actually see the two of them making out or something? Most likely not. :P But I have no doubt that just because we will never play as the Inquisitor again; that their story isn't over just yet. And the same goes for baldy.

Dirthamen reeks trouble. If Elgarnan is released then... Thedas is doomed.
Maw Tem True, he is a big deal. But his story isn't centered around his romance. Him trying to open up the Fade is most certainly going to be a major plot point coming up, and I'm sure the Inquisitor is going to be involved in some capacity.
But 8/9 worldstates won't have the Inquisitor and Solas as lovers. I doubt they'd write/animate/voice act anything truly substantial for those 1/9 players. Whatever we get will probably be enough to give us closure; but won't be a "oh look, now the Inquisitor and Solas are confessing their love for each other; and now they're taking a romantic stroll through the forest; and oh look, he proposed."
It'd probably be a small touching moment at the end, with a few dialogues relating to the romance sprinkled throughout; followed by a one off comment after whatever mission it's involved with; and maybe an epilogue slide. :)
I could watch this over and over again and never get tired of it! This is honestly my favorite Solas/Lavellan video. I feel like it captures their complicated and equally beautiful relationship perfectly.
Originally, I liked Dorian best as a LI, but him and Iron Bull are just too precious to separate. Thankfully, Trespasser solved that problem by making the Solas romance a new level of epic and tragic. I can even keep using my favourite Inquisitor, the elven mage one. Just have to make it a female instead of male.
Hmm, my favourites are Zevran, Fenris and now Solas. I'm sensing a pattern there...
Anyway, you captured the overall feel of the romance and everything fits together perfectly. Awesome work.
If you're ever out of ideas, would you consider making a Solas/Iorveth (from Witcher 2) video? Kind of an elven rebel crossover...

Iorveth, Zevran, Fenris, and Solas were my slow decent into madness... I feel like there needs to be AA group for recovering elf addicts.
Yes, Dorian and Iron Bull are so cute together that for them I will terminate Solas. I'm 99.99% with him, humanity has to go and whatever lives in this planet, let's just bomb them all with the Fade and see it all fall apart, but then that would mean that Dorian and Bull will die, and that will not happen on my watch, so sorry Solas, but you are about to get really messed up by my paladin of vengeance (only canon in my head) in the next game.
This has easily cemented itself as my favorite Solas/Lavellan mv. It's so beautifully heartbreaking, just like the romance itself. 💛
I agree..I can't let go..Solas is my favorite character, so far..I don't know if I will find another character with so much emotions, I hate Solas , I love Solas.. And I can't forget him.. I'm glad he will be the big bad in D A 4. Love your comment.
Dang it, Bioware! Stop luring me into romances with people I can't be with in the end. I'm 3-0 so far. Let's see what happens in Dragon Age 4. Will I finally be able to start a Romance with Varric only to have Bianca's husband suddenly die?

Bingo. I was an elf in Origins and failed to harden Alistair so he dumped me after I made him king. And then I made the mistake of boning a dual personality, abomination terrorist and let him move in with me. By the third act I really really wanted to dump him (if someone you're dating lies to your face and then tries to manipulate you with that stupid "if you love me, then you'll..." line, it's time to kick them to the curb. Especially if said loser is rude to your friends. That's a big red flag.) but had to settle for stabbing him.

wow. Fortunetely, and nfortunately, I did my Solasmance on my second playthrough, meaning I knew how things would go. So, it was hard to feel sad, etc... But this video brings the feelings others who loved Solas must have felt so well, I can feel it now. Thank you.

Just finished Tresspasser a little while ago. Damn, I loved it, but it hurt so damn much! Still hurts, I'm still crying! This was the most heart breaking ending to a game I have ever experienced.

I romanced Solas in my first playthrough goddammit the pain of that romance pissed me off so much I went out of my way to piss Solas off with my Elven Inquisitor that Romanced Blackwell xD I was gonna use my circle mage that romanced Cullen but I thought it'd be more fitting to have elf vs elf
Seems they have let the Solas x Lavellan story die by the looks of the new Dragon Age 4 trailer. Definitely not playing as the inquisitor, although the story seems to revolve around Solas, not sure how they’d continue the romance- and even if they did it wouldn’t be enjoyable because we’re not playing as Lavellan. Very disappointed. This romance, these two characters- are the best thing to come out of the dragon age universe IMO.
