Solide Review, but you have forgot to mention suspension comfort and horse power figures. Also no trunk and door closing/felt covering check like Thomas does it. 😂
Cayenne is far more practical and still was like a Porsche. This is so against what Lotus was it’s just a name now. And the Cayenne allowed the 911 to continue on, not replace it. So not really the same. Have owned Cayenne, 911 and Tesla. I am saddened by this direction for Lotus.
And also, there’s a lot of incentive for people to buy electric cars under their company. So these luxury electric cars sell well for wealthy business owners for that reason

Good review! Honestly I'd consider it (If I were in the consumer segment for this type of vehicle). The fact that it's an EV, or a Lotus trying to be a big gt-style car, or the Chinese ownership doesn't really put me off, just makes me more curious if anything. There are a lot of question marks for sure, but as a car enthusiast I like to experience different types of cars. In a perfect world, I'd have a Taycan or Celestiq in my garage, and also one of these just to sort compare and contrast and try something I wouldn't usually consider

Great review. I like the trade offs which Lotus have made on minimalist UI/UX and proper buttons, stalks, and paddles. It looks like a great driving experience. No idea about the cost but presumably insane, but maybe even worth it. Just a bit too big, but really desirable. Then the Taycan is also too big.
I hope this is not re-styled and re-badged Zeekr 01. Horse power is pretty much the same, same screen, same steering wheel design (just different buttons), same battery.
As a former 2 time Lotus owner (Europa Twin Cam and Esprit), I'd say they they were fantastic to drive in their day, but suffered from awful build quality. China is building stunning cars that are well priced. I could definitely live with this car.

I love lotus and what used to be their ethos, but this is meh. I do hope it sells well, though, because anything that keeps lotus profitable can only be a good thing.

I recently made a deposit on an Emeya at Wearnes Thailand after my first visit to their showroom. Despite the showroom's low class and quality, I was impressed by the design and build of the Emeya. After negotiating and making a deposit, the salesperson contacted me a few days later, stating they could not honor the agreed-upon price and needed to increase it. I am very disappointed with Wearnes Thailand. Lotus should not appoint such an unprofessional company as their sole dealer in Thailand. I’ll wait to see how they respond to this situation. The way they treat their customers is unacceptable.
Disappointing that Hyundai was the first to launch a true performance EV in the Ioniq 5 N, with it's sound effects and gear shifts. Cars like this from Lotus, and others like Porsche, Audi etc are so boring in terms of the experience and sense of occasion.
Not so dissapointing for Hyundai eh? :D They even made records on Pikes Peak. All these fancy badges are sleeping on their past successes. Cant wait to see where 6N and N Vision 74 takes them.

@@Carfan678 yeah but the point is you don't need that much range. Ev's should be used in cities at low speeds where they are efficient. Anything over 80 km/h in an ev drains the battery like crazy compared to ICE

3:07 exactly this. All I want a frunk to be is somewhere to store cables separate from the boot and the cabin. Not a big ask surely.
A bigger frunk is super great for storing takeout food, paint and other items that can stink or spill.
Outside the car looks good to me. Inside, the usual tablet in the middle design.

@@user-yn5sk5ru5g yes it is but only after 90K miles ( 144K Km) due to the way larger carbon footprint generated in the manufacturing process of an EV. So doesn’t really make that much sense and I don’t even want to bring up the terrible battery disposal process. PS. This EV movement is sort of sweeping the dirt under the rag.

@@Carfan678 yeah but the point is you don't need that much range. Ev's should be used in cities at low speeds where they are efficient. Anything over 80 km/h in an ev drains the battery like crazy compared to ICE
