Excellent review. Very thorough explanation of the controls, screens etc, which is very useful. One of the best car review channels on youtube in my view.
Thanks for the video, a very thorough and fun review by you two. Excellent work as always and very passionate. After getting my 2022 992.1 GTS rear ended and still waiting over 7 months for having it back from the repair shops (estimate is sometime in late Jan, which would be 9 months plus), I think it must be mentioned to be extremely cautious with such vehicles as getting parts can take easily up to a year if in a minor or major crash. I am seriously considering opting for a 992.2 Carrera T (that car is now priced at what I bought my 992.1 GTS brand new for with approximate options), now that prices have also sky rocketed once I get my repaired car back. These cars are getting more and more complex with parts and newer systems, this is an excellent car, yet a very expensive one and after my crash experience (not at my fault), I would caution everyone for the repair times of such cars. I am hoping the Carrera T would still be less complex as compared to the new GTS, although wait times would still be similar if in a crash. It's physiologically challenging losing a car and then waiting for it to be repaired and hope it still runs like before.
Great review as always, and a very exciting car! A few years back, Thomas with his review was one of the people that made me decide to get the 992 Turbo S. I wonder what will happen this time 😅
First of all, thank you for the video. You two make a great team! And one thing I agree on is the car is insanely expensive and not worth the value. Plus it will be more expensive to maintain as the complexity and high tech costs are through the roof. I just hope Porsche does 2 things: make 911 high trim models that are not EV in any way; they increase production of higher trims to stop the speculators controlling the market. I will never buy a franken-porsche - but others may like them. So, make more 911 turbo s that’s pure ICE now that you’ve had to scale back on Taycans that no one wants. (They have now shut down the 2nd shift of Taycans factory.). Also beware Mercedes AMG GT 63 is actually a bit nicer and sounds much better that this gts and for less money!
Awesome review as ever!! ❤ Thomas, one day please do an Autogefuhl special review of your daily driver and you can switch roles with Leah in that video. It'll be fun!! 💯 Anyways just an idea I had for a while 😄
I only need the sunroof that can be opened 😊 The new 911s are designed so well. Still classic but modern and a really great shape. Driving must be awesome as it looks. Keep up the good work, you both. Vor allem, dass du kein Blatt vor den Mund nimmst und deine Meinung sagst, ist super. 👍🏻👍🏻 Hessische Grüße 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Sound is definitely different, will have to see how it is in flesh. Great and comprehensive review, as always. Looking forward to the base Carrera review, might be the pick of the range money/value wise.
What a car... own an OG Cayman S... this is the dream. Fantastic review, such a classic and unfussy approach with great production. 5⭐️ my missus said to say she loves that accent.
Great review. Yes the prices for the GTS4 is quite expensive to be honest. Waiting for the 922.2 4S to be available, and looking forward to the review. It might be the model that most popular.
100% agree on porsche pricing, since 2020 BMW may be up 10% but Porsche is up over 20%, Base 911 used to be just under $100K, now its over $120K in the US. Dealers here still asking 10K markup on cayman/boxster and 911 models except for maybe base versions. seems like for a couple decades people would actually cross shop a M3/M4 with base 911 as price was pretty close, now its a 25% difference for a loaded M3/M4 vs no option base model 911. I know the Porsche handles better and may look nicer but its less practical and with that price difference you can go buy a used Fiat Abarth 124 Spider.
Thing with Porsche is: The cars don't only get more expensive, they are really badly equipped in the base versions and you have to pay 3 or 4 figures for every single sh!t feature
Thanks for such a wonderful presentation of such a beautiful car and many, many thanks for driving it like Michael Schumacher!!😊😊 You Germans surely know how to drive!!👍👍😍😍❤️❤️
I am still confused with e-battery depletion on a proper track. Some other reviewers indicated the battery is never depleted on the track but here we are saying with sport + which pretty much serious track junkies will use will deplete battery. HPDE events are 20-30 min sessions back to back thrashing of the car at severe high speeds and absolute performance required so the performance is compromised ? Which is it.
I had the in-depth talks with the head engineer. Its true that the battery is never literally as in “0%” empty to save its life. But it will be empty on sport+ to an extent where u dont have extra boost anymore if u do race alike hotlap.
Love the Ascari track, fantastic combination of some of world best tracks in one. Did you get a chance to have a look at the customers garage.. ? Lots of german license plate sport cars sleeping there….
Favorite button I use to turn off overspeeding alerts. Basically have no ideas what else you could use this button :)))) Porsche give us few more buttons like that!

I like your honesty on Porsche pricing. Use to be an attainable sports car but now they seem like they want to catch the super car exotic market buyers or investors?
When I saw some leaked photos of the front slats, I didnt like it at all however this car looks stunning in my eyes. I cant imagine what the Turbo is going to go like based on the GTS figures?
Great review. As a last ICE before EV hell, at around €220k I would probably pay it. Most €220k cars are simply not worth it but this one might be. As a detail, what Porsche have done with the UI/UX is something which lesser cars could do without adding to expense and maybe losing cost. Firstly there is the small infotainment screen which is relegated to where it should be unobtrusively on the dashboard. Secondly there is the liberal use of real buttons and controls on or near to the steering wheel or wrist. This sort of configuration could be applied usefully to a low end Dacia as much as to a current VW Golf without adding to production costs. Then there is all that engineering and performance which makes it worth paying the money. What Porsche and others have to consider is whether the aging car enthusiast (myself) is going to get enough extra fun from the GTS compared lower priced alternatives for the money. Of course they still have the brand bragging rights, but can you get enough of this sort of thing at say £45k? £60k? £90k?
The astroturfing by Porsche is hilarious to watch - its simple, its a heavy car with nintendo interior and represents the soul of the 911 bleeding out.
@@nyc863 The GT3 RS is a road legal car that is track capable. Its is not a track car. The 992.2 GTS is a very heavy car and weighs around 1650 kg with the rear seats. That is one of its lighter trims the 4 GTS or Targa will be well over 1700kg and pushing 1800kg if not more. The 992.2 GTS is not s sports car its a large car that has the shape of a later 911.
@@VK6AB- I conclude you are really out of step with current production car weights given the plethora of rules around safety and demands of nvh (RS is an extremely loud car). No matter how many times you insist, the fact is adding 30kg to a 911 for a 8 second ring lap time decrease, and all round better performance and less lag, is a great trade off especially vs what has gone on with competitors recently.
Brilliant car, love it, but I have two issues, the exterior sound is not great, the sound is mostly coming from the speakers in the coupe interior. Secondly, the price is a challenge. My current GTS convertible 992 was £155k, the same spec in the 992.2 is £180k, that's madness.
I recently ordered the GTS. Shade Green, aero kit, ceramics, BOSE, etc, etc. Total invoice price £157k. How you get to £180k for the cab I don't know, tick every single option and add PTS? Base price is £143,668 inc. VAT. or six grand more for a C4. Math not your strong point I guess.
@@luciussander8217 math? Are you American? I have had 3 GTSs now, I always spec high as I like all the toys. I always go RWD as I hate the feel of AWD, I never go carbon ceramics, it I do always go PTS. That adds £8k I think. PDCC is also a must, as was RWS but that’s included now (part of the price increase). My spec comes to between £180-185k. My previous GTS was a 991.2, also PTS and that was £133k, so the price rise is significant between model years.
I’m trying to convince myself that I like those front fins, once again rest of the car is magnificent……but at this price I expect a front end that screams beautiful. Front bumpers only look good on GT cars.
Great review of a fantastic car. If I understand correctly, the batteries are charged by the turbo charged engine. So, Porsche realizes that the best way to generate electricity is with fossil fuels?
I think referee Carrera 4 GTS' price is TGT most anyone should be spending to get"the outside experience"... Even then it's a stretch imho to spend so much.. The GTS ISN'T 2 IN 5X. the care off e.g. VW Golf R... It's better but not 2 me 5x better....25 percent maybe.. Or at most 45 percent

I rather like the engine sound, so characteristic of the flat-6. I wouldn’t like it any different 😎
One thing I find super annoying is 0,5 second refresh rate on digital speedometer. It is so 1995.
The astroturfing by Porsche is hilarious to watch - its simple, its a heavy car with nintendo interior and represents the soul of the 911 bleeding out.
its not actually heavy.
@@nyc863 Yes it is, at least 1650kg in lightest trim or about 200kg heavier than my GT3 RS.
@@VK6AB- the GT3 *RS* is a track car. +200kg for a full road car is small, or your track car is heavy. One or the other.
First time ive ever heard her lose her composure there 😂😂😂😂
Brilliant car, love it, but I have two issues, the exterior sound is not great, the sound is mostly coming from the speakers in the coupe interior.
Just imagine what the "flipped" going rate will be.
I’m trying to convince myself that I like those front fins, once again rest of the car is magnificent……but at this price I expect a front end that screams beautiful. Front bumpers only look good on GT cars.
Love this car
My dream car
Can I ask what kind of car you drive. I think it should be a practical VW group.
we ll soon make a feature of that!
Will there be video on the new base Carrera?

Got a Carrera in this one for now already!
Soft limiter on the exhaust sound segment 🙈🙉
Just ordered. 😎😍
Enjoy!
@@autogefuehl Thanks but have to wait for it until beginning 2025...Looking forward.
Anyone know why Porsche hasn’t been able to solve the wind noise and buffeting issue on the Targa or is the problem just baked into the design?
You just need to put up the small spoiler above the windscreen and the Problem is gone
Great review of a fantastic car. If I understand correctly, the batteries are charged by the turbo charged engine. So, Porsche realizes that the best way to generate electricity is with fossil fuels?
still no heated cooled cup holders on a 911!?
Hello thank you I loved.i love Germany. she's really smart.
❤nice #porsche Next year order the affordable #hondaprelude hybrid sportscar
Really consumption 8.5 is acceptable with the car with such performance???
Why is manual transmission not available as an option
Sweet car
I think referee Carrera 4 GTS' price is TGT most anyone should be spending to get"the outside experience"... Even then it's a stretch imho to spend so much..
The GTS ISN'T 2 IN 5X. the care off e.g. VW Golf R... It's better but not 2 me 5x better....25 percent maybe.. Or at most 45 percent
Sound is not good…
