Great tip on the beeswax! What percentage of beeswax would stabilize 5% of glycerin in an anhydrous formula? Would the glycerin have to be solubalized in a bit of water?

Sunflower wax is quite a hard wax; it would compare to the rice bran wax in many ways, just double check the melting point of the material you can source against the rice bran wax to make sure. For a cleansing balm, please watch our video: How to make cleansing balms: ua-cam.com/video/rD_hdr8KXw8/v-deo.html You might also find our Create Cosmetic Formulas program useful, it helps you select the right materials and then put the formula together: ua-cam.com/video/6HWMilZR5NM/v-deo.html
The Institute of Personal Care Science thanks Belinda, the silicon sauce plate is not mentioned in the video, I have watched it before. I mean the little sauce-like plate you put ingredients or cream. Thanks
Thank u for the very informative video.. What exactly the formula for Jel base products such as Moringa Jel with cooling effect and extremely hot when you apply it to your skin for massage..Thank u
Beeswax is an emulsifier? That's so interesting. I couldn't find information about its hlb. I thought it wasn't an emulsifier. Could you please make a video about it?
Its how the traditional cold creams of the Elizabethan era were made. They don’t feel nice like our current emulsifiers do, but it was all they had at the time. Still, beeswax does have a low HLB (around 5) and can support other emulsifiers with their activity. It is not sufficient on its own. I might add this to the list as a bit of a historical revisit… but its certainly not elegant like the emulsifiers we can get today, and its not enough on its own.
Beautiful information..Do you guys have a link for how to make a vegetable wax at home..I want to do from vegetables my garden..and use for skin creams

hello maybe someone can help me. I'm trying to do a lip balm but I'm finding it hard to make a perfect balm. I don't know why but when I apply it feels amazing on the lips, the problem is that after like 1h it feels like the lips have dried and they feel super tight. Maybe someone knows why is this? the ingredients I use are beeswax, cocoa, coconut oil, almond oil, and avocado oil.
It would depend on many other factors also in the formula. We’d need to review your specific scenario to advise properly, please purchase consulting time here: personalcarescience.com.au/Advice/Advice-2046/ You can also get your formulation questions answered LIVE with Belinda, join our Patreon channel here: www.patreon.com/personalcarescience
Castor oil wax is hydrogenated castor oil; it would perform in a very similar way as the hydrogenated vegetable oil just double check the melting point is similar and you’ll get similar results.
I'm a processor in the hemp space. Wax is a by-product. It's rather lovely. Have you come across any information on its use in the Cosmeceutical space?
