Your videos are really good and informative. I really like the sample formulations you send. Using the create app also helped a lot for a beginner to learn what can be used and compatibility of ingredients.
I wonder how to interpret "careful preservation" when talking about milks and fruit juices? What does it mean - should it be more preservative, special preservatives or else? Otherwise, I'm really grateful for all your videos, they are awesome and very useful, thank you for sharing you knowledge so generously with us!
It means, if making formulas that need careful preservation, please learn how to make the right selections or seek professional input. You have to consider ph-value, quantum you need of the preservator, hygienic production and desinfection of used materials and so on to minimize the basic contamination. Some preservator combat existing contamination, some just avoid an increase and you need to know how long it is effective, than you have consider the packaging (airless or not airless, sterilzable or not sterilizable) and so on...

Hi Belinda.,Just awesome collection of water alternatives..I am so much happy to get all options here and that too with reliable infos.. Belinda could you please tell ,,how brands claim that they have fruit chunks that are visible in creams ....Do cosmetic companies sell fruit chunks ??? because I searched a lot..got nothing as the brand gave INCI as watermelon fruit... Thanks.
Yes there are suppliers of these 'fruit chunks' - they are not at all like fresh fruit pulp. They have been processed and treated to remain as the 'chunk'. Please visit your local raw material trade show e.g. in-cosmetics to find suppliers or try searching UL Prospector or join your local Society of Cosmetic Chemists to find suppliers. If it were just the untreated fruit 'chunk' you could create in a kitchen it would be little more than an ugly pulp in a finished product. They are processed in such a way as to retain their attractive 'chunk' appearance in the finished product; please don't try that at home!

No - it doesn't; please remember they are formed through steam distillation so the only components that survive this process are heat tolerant - the hydrosol therefore remains very stable over a prolonged period and doesn't oxidise. They are extremely stable.
