Thank you, thank you Clamavi de Profundis, for creating this exquisite piece to help the Holy Souls! May God reward you! Please let people know that both the De Profudis and the Requiem Aeturnum are indulgenced prayers that apply the glorious merits of the Saints and Holy Mother Church to our own prayers and sacrifices to help free our beloved dead from Purgatory so they may enter into the light of God's Presence. These prayers are highly efficacious! To those who enjoy this piece: Please spare a moment to pray for the souls of my daughter, Madelyn Huntington Haldeman Tesar, 25, and her husband, Sgt. Shane David William Tesar, 34, who died unprepared earlier this year. This piece was commissioned for them and all of the Holy Suffering Souls. Requiescant en pace. May God bless you for remembering them all.
Godless and lifeless ..they became .. they shall remembered as the transgressors similar to the days of sodom and Gomorrah.. O God forgive, forgive, for they know not..
When my 2 year old son hears your LOTR music he runs around and cheers. When he hears your Latin songs he sits and stares in wonder and awe. Thank you for this gift.
Your religious music is as good as your LoTR music, because both touch the heart & soul. I hope you can someday release an album of religious songs, one song for each month of the year. Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, Pentecost, Holy Days of Obligation, Marian feasts... the possibilities are endless. :D
Brought tears to my eyes.... more should be praying for the holy souls! WONDERFUL work, as usual, Clamavi de Profundis! Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them, and may they rest in peace. Amen.
I have been attending the Latin Mass for almost 20 years, Deo Gratias, my brother-in-law is music director at our parish and he is impressed by you. Your Latin is excellent!!! Your chant is excellent!!! Truth and Beauty are conveyed, and you give great glory to God!
4:01 "Ave Maria, ora pro nobis" This part is so incredibly touching and beautiful! God bless you all! You breathe new life and youthful vigor, plus your own flavor to the ancient chants of the Roman Catholic Church. Sancta Maria, ora pro vobis!
I was taken back to my youth - pre teen - where I attended a small, rural parish. Our priest, an Irishman, would often perform mass in Latin, and *always* sung in Latin. He had an amazing voice. Until today, it has been decades since I've recalled those times; recalled the power of it. I have believed those were the memories of an awestruck young altar boy ... Maybe I was wrong.
I'm not Catholic, but was raised a baptist. I've always admired Catholic chants and songs though. Keep on praising the Lord from one follower of Christ to another!
I discovered this group trying to find a suitable chant version of the psalm Clamavi De Profidis so I am quite happy they have finally sung their namesake.
Oh... My.... God... i literally had goosebumps and cried while listening to this... I'm a Catholic from Brazil, and started following your channel because of your Tolkien lore songs, and also because of the dwarf ones... And heard some of the chants u have recorded.. Awalys amazed by your talent and passion! And this last chant here... At the eve of the Solemnity of Christ the King... I'm in tears... Thank you! Thank you very very much for this song! U are all on my prayers!
THANK YOU, and Deo Gratias FOR YOU!!! My soul has been craving and awaiting a sacred rendition from you, and providentally, your timing is perfect. I lost both of my parents to Covid this past January, may they rest in peace, and my heart and soul have been thanking God for His infinite mercies, and longing, out of the depths, for something from Clamavi De Profundis, since you have continued to provide for the last few years, a soothing and healing balm to my soul, courage to persevere - the perfect music when I needed it most, from all your sacred music (esp. Viriliter Agite) to Boic Bravesoul, Kaia, Brigit, Hulda, Ragna of the Viking village; Fr. Edvard & Bjorn; Oshrjad; all the characters in The Battle of World Stone Keep; to all of your amazing Renditions of JRR Tolkien's works, and that's just off the top of my head! May God bless each and everyone of you! Please continue your work - you give great glory to God through it!!!
Oooooo yeah, that's what I've been waiting for! That's what it's all about! But really, just the name of the song is great, and when i heard it... bless you CdP
Beautiful. This makes my heart soar. I look forward to every new masterpiece, and hope the generations that follow can also appreciate it. Thank you for making my day better.
Well beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. Some may call a piece a classic, a masterpiece, fine art. But with some it doesn't vibe and we have to accept that there are different tastes. Every single ones perception is different and has to be respected. Don't let us stick our nose in the air and feel higher and better than others :) PS: once on a communication training a Woman brought a photo of a somewhat crude sculpture with her. She said we should write down what we think about it. What is the man feeling etc. And everyone wrote down: oh he seems anxious, afraid, defensive, etc. I thought He looked more curious with bis open eyes and hands somewhat behind his ears. But fact is, we where all "wrong". We couldn't possibly know what really was the intention of the artist. And thats a thing we should always keep in mind. We should start to interpret less and ask more questions :) And comming back to the og topic: everyone reacts and feels different about things :) There is absolutely no point in arguing about taste. That would be a great tip for most of YT, social media and life in general. Wow i am sorry xD i didn't want to sound Like a know it all. This memory just came into my mind and i thought i d like to share it
I’m starting to think CDP is physically incapable of making a bad song. I just want you to know your entire team is unbelievably talented, thank you for sharing your talent with the world! I wish nothing but success for you. 😊
My least favorite Clamavi Songs are : Oshrad Bonebreaker (slow as hell and the story does not inspire me), In Western Lands (weird accoustic, weird tone), Strong (long song, very weak text). I would argue that those are bad songs. Not actively bad, but definitely songs that I did not feel like listening twice. Granted, they have still some auditive qualities. I means, the guys are quite skilled after all. But they are able to produce weak piece from time to time. It's an exception, though.
What a gorgeous, smooth holy blend so fitting for the Christmas season, and especially in these chaotic times. Even the aesthetic is that Gothic sweetspot, I say even as an Orthodox Christian. Bless you CdP family for all your work. ☦ This is up there with your "Veni Veni Emmanuel" - please do more medieval hymns!
Blessed art we, with music. Blessed art thou with thine voices many, strong, never waivering; Thank you, For this. And all of the other songs. May your paths, Forever shine bright; Forevermore. May you find paradise; for all those whom leads; May you, guide them. God bless.
It is so refreshing to see a relatively popular musical group be unapologetically Catholic in a world of such degeneracy. Portæ inferni non prævalebunt. Fidelium animæ, per misericordiam requiescant in pace. Viva Cristo Rey!
I've listen to their songs since they started and in all the years they have never ceased to amaze me. Keep up the amazing work, you guys are incredible!
This is so beautiful!! ❤️ I love it so much! Definitely one of my favorites of all your amazing work. I'm going to be listening to this non stop this Advent
Beautiful work. I have long enjoyed how the various harmonies are woven together to create such masterworks. You all do justice to the traditions and history of this music style.
I want this to be the style and quality of music that I hear when I go to church. We Protestants gained sommuch when we divorced the Catholic Church of Rome, but we lost so much tradition, and eventually with it we lost this style of most reverent and holy music.
Speak for yourself. We Lutherans preserved the Liturgy and other traditions, while having reformed the necessary. Many passages in their songs I can point to ands say: "In our Liturgy or hourly prayers we have the same words, same melody that we sing, but we sing it in German/English".
This is a concept that is beyond me, specifically, the Love of God. Yet, I can forgive, and that at least means I learned a little bit from our Father.
I love this! My only qualm now is that I can't say that I have a favorite song anymore. This one has got into the running with my original first place choice ("Viriliter Agite" which is also incredible) and now I'm all confused. :)

This music is as grown up as you can get, written by religious men who completely dedicated their lives to Christ and service of their fellow man.
Can you still go to the latin mass?

Aaaaaa this reminds me of my stay in a Trappist monastery. Very similar to their chants. Was an incredible experience.
How does one experience this?
Ladies and gentlemen it’s the best time of the month, great work as always
