    Nice review! You said you wished there was a “banana” attachment for the low row… you were holding it! Stick a carabiner on the middle circle and then you can you any normal attachment.

    Good video. I have the PR-5000 + Ares and love it. One thing I noticed is that you installed the low bracket w/ pulley on the front posts on the wrong sides. The pulleys are supposed to be near the ground, not elevated. I don't know if you did this intentionally or not, but just wanted to point this out in case it was accidental. Here's the part of the installation video that covers how that piece should be installed: ua-cam.com/video/RF9dydArtg4/v-deo.html

    Yeah on the landmine, you could always ad some front feet or mini feet and attach a landmine to that if you want it rack attached

    Nice review. Did you consider the Athena and the lat/row machine? Since I’m leaning toward 30” depth leaning toward the Athena for the extra space in the back/inside of the rack.
    Curious what factors made you choose the Ares

    • @dansteiner9393
      @dansteiner9393 Рік тому +2

      I went back and forth, but ultimately decided on a PR-5000 with weight stack athenas on both sides, and a selectorized lat/row in the back.

    • @samrmills
      @samrmills Рік тому +1

      @@dansteiner9393 thx! I decided that’s what I’m going to do to. Unfortunately I didn’t buy nice my first time so I’m buying twice. I have a 6 post Titan now. Sell rack and rebuild my platform so the new rig will be sure to fit in my garage. Going to start with a 16” pr5000 with lat/low row and build out from there. Add 30” then AthenaS. I anticipate this ecosystem will outlive me this time around

      Only reason I'd go with Ares over Athena + lat pull down is to minimaize footprint: the latter has the lat pull down protruding from the rear. My home office is super tight and I have to minimize footprint. Otherwise would do Athena and lat pulldown.

      Looking for an update on those of you with an Athena selectorized and lat low row selectorized. Is it holding up well? Is it everything you hoped it would be?

    Do you feel restricted with cable movements with the 80” rack (as I think the total cable movement is less than the 93” rack)?

    • @Barbend

      Great question! We haven't felt held back by the cable movements, but understand why taller people might be concerned by that.

    Great video, do you think an 80” post would limit a person 6’0” on doing tricep exercises or any exercises using the trolleys because they don’t go all the way up? Thanks

    • @Barbend
      @Barbend  9 місяців тому +1

      I don't think so! You have 62 inches to work with on the uprights (the pulleys take away some of the space), and you can always manipulate angles.

    Would a 9 foot ceiling height be OK for the 80 or the 93 inch?

    • @Barbend
      @Barbend  5 місяців тому

      Yeah you would still have some clearance between the ceiling and the top of the uprights. However, if you go after the multi-grip pull-up bar, you may run into some issues as it add another inch of height. We have the 80-inch version with the multi-grip bar and I have just enough room for my head when doing pull-ups.

    • @Barbend
      @Barbend  2 місяці тому +1

      @@Nuttman5150 Our ceiling is around nine feet! If you do the 93" with an eight-foot ceiling, I'd recommend the standard or globe grip pull-up bars. You could still get the multi-grip, but you'll have to invert it since it adds a few inches to the height total.
