It is interesting. But because it's bypassing the Onboard Charger Controller and it's converting the Ac to DC before it gets to the car it should be more efficient. So a 20 kilowatt DC charger should charge at 20 kilowatts. The one I installed is a 9.6 Kilowatt but the manufacture has EV chargers over 100 kilowatt, not as high as the Tesla superchargers but not far from it. Interesting, a DC home charger instead of the usual AC home chargers. Obviously at 20kW charging speed it is not as quick as those public DC chargers.
