There are hundreds if not thousands of EV chargers to choose from. Most of them will do the same thing which is to charge your car. Just take care it has passed regulatory certification so that it at least meets a bare minimum of safety standards. After this, you want to beware of features that are must haves such as waterproof rating, app control. start up behavior after a power loss, cable length and cable gauge, the look of the device itself, theft prevention measures, and more. Watch to see what I have learned having reviewed more EV chargers than I can easily count.

cool, i got a 2013 chevy volt a few months ago. feel like having the electric generator fixes every problem with EV's. dont worry about crowded/broken slow public chargers on long road trips, doesnt loose a lot of range from the cold since it runs the motor and heats up the coolant for the battery and also heats the cabin with waste heat, doesnt let you discharge the last 20% of battery which i believe helps with longevity. has 2 different sized ev motors with the most efficient magnet layout and a planetary gear transmission which means you dont loose too much efficiency at highway speeds (like the ev porche lol), and the generator in the first gen has a pretty high compression ratio and is smaller so it does alright with gas usage. similar weight to a model Y, maybe even a bit lighter for the same total range capacity.
only issue is they only put 3.3kw powersupplies in them (until the last 2019 model i think had 6.6kwh charger). wonder if there is anyway to upgrade the inverter or maybe wire a bendy solarpannel on the roof into the 12v system safely.
anyways, just about to drill a hole into the wall between my garage and laundry room and hook up some kind of switch between the dryer and the 30A 240 outlet lol.
you should review those wall outlets that have usb A/C ports in them next! or those bone conduction headphones, stuff i recently bought for cheap online :)

What do you think that spot for that little battery is for? Mine has been working great. to bad i can't tell Google to start charging my car😢

Usually, it's like in your PC, it keeps power to the volatile memory chip so that it will remember your previous settings during a power failure. It could also integrate small amounts of flash that doesn't require battery power into the chip later on and this could remove the need for a battery. They should really remove the battery holder to save on cost if that's the case.

Im not having luck with mine 😢,it worked just fine with my 2015 bmw i3 but now i have a 2017 model X and it wont start changing,i have an original tesla adapter it goes to 1 amp the the charger goes purple and says energy leak,any idea?

Logically, this might mean Model X is not charging correctly. Does the Model X charge with other wall chargers (non-superchargers)? Or that the i3 doesn't detect the same fault condition as the Tesla.

@@BeatTheBushDIY the model x will charger with a120v and the same adapter, today I will test a different charger hopefully it is not the car the problem

@@BeatTheBushDIY I tested the model X at 2 different level 2 chargers and it works perfectly, guess my andeman is having trouble communicating with the car I'll open it up and see if I find anything out of the ordinary

Hello, my greeting, can you help me understand the Andeman charger and it was installed by a professional, but the charger only charges at 30 amp and 7.2 kwh and the application is configured at 48 amp but the amps do not go up more than 30 amp. Can you help me with any suggestions. thank you.

What car are you charging, What gauge are the wires going into the charger? What is the breaker amp rating?

@@arman2lio26your bz4X cannot handle 48A. And to charge at 48A you need 60A circuit breaker
