In my opinion; This is a masterpiece live set by a guy who is doing his thing for years, a guy who after all those years of playing got a break and finally had a chance to play his music to a really large group of people who actually understand and appreciate his music. You can see the real joy and happiness on his face and in his movement when people react good to a Fatima Yamaha track that they probably haven't ever heard. It makes me feel good just hearing and seeing that :)
He makes the beats for the most succesfull hip hop group in the Netherlands (De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig). This was a side project of his and it suddenly got big.
I have loved "What's a Girl To Do" for years.... that synth line gets stuck in my brain for days when I hear it! So thrilled to see this genius in action! Respect.
wow. one of the best boiler room sets ive heard. im smiling like a little kid with happiness just sitting here in heaven...drifting away in bliss. THIS is beautiful music.
+Dylan ive been to so many shows in my life but there's something about this show that seems like it would be completely unique. its not just "dance music"....it makes you FEEL. its beautiful, it has a beautifully sad hint to it.almost like you feel like you want to cry and smile at the same time. im listening to this again right now with my eyes closed and feel so at ease. so peaceful. all of my worries go away.
+Julie Davis There's something very nostalgic about his music. Makes us long for a time or memory that might not even have existed. But you can also dance to it. This is an excellent set.
+Geoff Meisner you hit the nail on the head. ive found more and more that the music that moves me the most is that which evokes a feeling of nostalgia. i think that we all have an innate ability to understand and empathize with experiences, feelings, and memories that we might not have experienced yet in our lives. our very interconnected nature allows us to empathize, and, at least for me, this sort of music bridges the gap between what i have experienced and what i havent. in other words, it evokes a sense of understanding and awe about the unknown. to me, music that can do that is powerful beyond words.
In 30 years of listening to house music, this is one of the best live performance I've seen. Why? Unlike most electronic "bands" he's actually playing live, rather than just setting off loops on Ableton. A joyful experience, which is basically the whole point, right? Rave on, Fatima!
Indeed, he is a producer pur sang. And I would say a musical genius. Most musicians will never get to his level. Colin Benders, Giorgo Moroder, Reinier Zonneveld are other examples
This fucking legend just comes on stage and opens his m****rf*cking heart through music, live, for everyone to enjoy his pure symphony of greatness. What a guy.
At 39:26 it was like he got so lost in his solo jam he forgot it was the end of the track! Haaa. Bas extend that track and get deeper in that soul section. You rock man.
Just discovered this dude and I freaking like it. Ive never heard anything like this. I really enjoy listening to. Music to sit back, close eyes and lurk around with your imagination. Freaking sick

Ik heb het nog niet uitgetest, maar dit liedje lijkt me perfect om te luisteren op het dakterras na een veel te warme dag en de temperatuur buiten eindelijk aangenaam is.
The way the build up to 5:52 proceeds, and then the 'creamy jello mellow feelz' of that moment onwards descends onto the set, yum. Like tensions released, a maturing of sorts, a rich emotional 'switch'. And the way the dj just goes into a `flow' after that, enjoys it, and the way everyone just bounces together, ...awesome
Not enough people talk about Borderless II, its my favourite song of Fatima, I love how the chorus has 12 beats instead of 16 and just skips a chord. A 3 chord chorus without a repeating chord should be used more often. everytime the chorus starts over it feels like its opening up a new layer. Such a good song.
Awesome set! Did you know that Fatima Yamaha (real name: Bas Bron) is the producer of De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig - a popular Dutch hip hop and R&B group based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, renowned for their musical approach of irreverent, humorous lyrics and electronic beats?
Damn, now I'll forever have to wonder if weelchair guy wears the Spitfire shirt because he was a fanatic skateboarder and got an accident, or because it's the most awesome pun shirt to wear while being in a wheelchair. Gotta say that guy with his synths is interesting aswell tho
