I’ve see quite a few boiler rooms but this has to be my favorite. For me, this is what dance music is all about. All sorts of people (dj included) celebrating life together. Where else than on the dance floor do you see such a connection between total strangers? Of course I wish I’d been there but even here, watching from my phone, I’m totally feeling it. Puts a huge smile on my face.
i feel you, i have been watching this bouncing on my chair with a huuge smile on my face. Experiencing these kind of nights is as good as life can get.
Agreed. Straight tracks with uplifting vocals are likely one of the keys here for this kind of vibe. However not all sets can be like that. So you need to mix in harder stuff at a show with this kind of set at the right time to produce something magical.
1:00 Topo & Roby - Trapped Under Ice (Instrumental) 3:36 Clem Abbott - Get More (Mystic Bill Remix) FOREIGN LANGUAGE 7:30 Gerome Sportelli - Some Acid 11:00 Tobias Bernstrup - 27 (Laser Mix) 13:36 Oliver N Goma - Lina (Masalo Acid Dream Version) 18:55 Cuba Trinidad - Soca De Cuba 22:36 Pulse - Showdown 26:34 Serge Fontaine - Troubadour 29:30 Moses - We Just HIGH FASHION DIGITAL 33:50 Bassekou Kouyate - Jama Ko (Masalo Blueprint Version) CLIMA 40:08 Mpumi ft. DJ Christor - Oxamu 44:58 Dennis Ferrer - Reach 4 Freedom (Dennis Ferrer Vocal Mix) 50:20 Randy Roberts - Without Your Love (Spen & Thommy Heavy Vibes Mix) 54:11 Tom Moulton - Small Circle of Friends
Starting around 30:45, and more specifically at 31:05, the way Palmsy looks around a bit at the crowd as the beat drops and seems to take it all in with a huge smile on his face is priceless. Everyone dancing with their hands up, on the ground, the table, or on someone else's shoulders, as they positively lose themselves... it's a thing of beauty.
@@siebe092 The song is kind of underground, the original post on YT has like 400k views, BUT, IT, SLAPS! I first discovered the song and then this set, glad to see it he left it mostly original.
I met Jay last night at an event in Cape Town, When i told him that i will be voting for him in 2020, he laughed and said "wow that joke has travelled, but seriously please don't". What a lad, but im still voting for you Palmsy ;)
This guy is just incredible. His transitions, the picks, the vibe he created - all made to perfection. I never comment on videos. For this guy I just have to make clear how majestic his sets are. I've had this guy's sets in the background while working/studying - cannot get over how good they are!
That's how you vibe the fuck out of a crowd... just every track choreographed into a piece of the bigger performance which is near flawless IMO.... and dude is having actual fun... my faith in underground dance music remains intact...it's a tad bit harder to find and that's the point..... DJs that can take 2-3 hours and turn them into magic are rare but this dude practices sorcery effortlessly....amazing set to watch
16 th min and I think this will be on top 5 boilerrooms .. Dekmantel ....again you dont disappoint me.. I wish I could be there one day.. One love boilers 💚💚
This is already such a great and happy set throughout its entire runtime, but when it transitions into that South African song around 41:00, it becomes truly transcendental. Just a magical experience to be able to listen to this. Makes me wish I was there!

I listened to this set so much that I can sing the music.
He went fully balls out Italo Disco. Respect
That is why it's so fucking good lmao I can't believe it took me this long to realize he's incorporating italo disco into it.
I've listened this set over and over again and I never get tired of doing it! SHOWDOWN!
Dude in the glasses to his right should teach dance lessons in every school in Britain. His moves are breath-taking and important.
I've been into electronic music since 2002. I have a collection of almost 2,5k DJ sets and I have nothing comparable to this gem.
Feel you man, 100%. This one really is a special one.
Still the greatest boiler room set even after all these years
remember social gatherings? wow what a time
Cannot wait to get back
hahahahaa
Up
I've heard rumors.
just had the same thought, mate
What a honor it was to be there live at one of the best DJ sets in festival history
Palmsy is so far in the green with his selections, the man has gone from inspiring the masses, to now healing at scale.

yesssss :D
Finally a boiler room that dances (and a DJ that not only can play but has a feeling for the music as well). A "wish I had been there" moment...
When this 80's track kicks in at 22:30 this gave me goosebumps!
For everyone who's searching for the ID:
Pulse - Showdown (1985)
Any chance to find it on Spotify?

Gives off proper 80s cops vibes. THIS IS A SHOWDOWN
one of the best sets of boiler room history ...
Never seen something like this. This is what is all about. The music and the crowd in one. Palmsy for President, and the world will be a better place!
THAT OPENING! INCREDIBLE, the vibes coming off that deck are insane
Right into the action in the first second, amazing. Maceo Plex also did the same thing in boiler room video, you might like it.
One of the best sets I've ever heard - this is pure art!
When a DJ know's the lyrics, he's mixing from the heart.
one of the most beautiful boilers ever! show!

This guy is from another planet. 100th time listening to this set, still blown away. What a performance. Palmsy: you're next on my bucket list!

One of the best dj-set-hours I have ever heard!
amazing always and forever, 2 years later, 20 years in the future, 2 centuries over Orion's Belt
