Okay yea but also tattooing over stretch marks hurts so much more than over regular skin. Like I had no problem sitting for my 4hr realistic color tattoo, artist took one break, but my 20min tiny dog outline that went over a stretch mark was something else. Healing it was also worse than my big tattoo, it itched like crazy nearly consistently

We are also more prone to get some really harsh keloid scarring when tattooing over scars. Depends on the nerves, the person's body chemistry... All the things. I figure it's one of those situations where it could go either way for people ya know?

I wonder how well a tattoo would go over on this stretch mark “erased” areas though. Like, would it stay on as long as on norm Al skin? Would the ink go on as easy or bleed out more? Definitely interesting stuff though

      Thanks for answering my question.
I have stretch marks from being terminally ill. Never been fat, and I am a male.
All of 2022 I was in the hospital with liver failure. I would get fluid called ascities building up in my abdomen between the intestines. Every week or 10 days I would have to get it pumped. Generally 5 liters each time.
So I was 70 pounds at one point with like 9 liters of fluid inside my stomach after a coma when my kidneys failed. I looked like an white malnourished Ethiopian nine months pregnant with twins. I looked like an alien being so skinny with a huge gut!
      Terrible!
Anyway my stomach would get MASSIVE. You could see my stomach getting visibly larger each day till I got pumped, and went back to deathly skinny.
I looked so much like an alien that if I went to a pool or something I would certainly have scared children I think, lol. Not that I could go out like that.
So I miraculously stabilized. Then suddenly I stopped getting ascities. My last paracentesis or pump was January 2nd.
So my belly button went back to an innie which was of a much greater concern, but I have mild stretch marks. I don't mind mine.
Anyway I have yet to get any sort of cut or wound there.
So I wasn't sure if it was like my other scars which are basically numb skin. Like my 3rd degree burns don't have a lot of feeling.
So it is a suprise that it hurts more than regular skin. Maybe that is why I started to become more sensitive to the needle when they would give me a paracentesis. It is a large needle, but man. Each operation seemed to get worse. I thought it was mental, because I had new doctors training sometimes who outright butchered me. Didnt use the novacaine correctly, and would get the catheter stuck on my intestines which is one of the most unique pains you can have.
Anyway most stretch marks aren't ugly at all. The ones in the video I sort of get. Most I have seen aren't, and add character. I had a habit of running my fingers across em subconsciously while cuddling with my partners who had them.
Screw men and women who hate on them. I see a lot of women talk crap to other women who have them too.
Doesn't cocoa butter work? Black people swear by the stuff!

We always said it's our map, of the road we began on. When she was little, she told me she was sorry I had them from when she was in my belly. I reminded her that growing her in my belly was my greatest honor, and those marks are there to remind me of that beautiful time, FOREVER.

They can ruin self esteem depending on the severity of them. I have them on my shoulders but that’s due to muscle growth. I wouldn’t mind them on my stomach so much but I really hate the sensitivity of it all so I wish better procedures existed.

I love my stretch marks. They remind me of the beautiful journey I took to meet my son, and as he gets older, my marks remain the same. On some days, they serve as a time capsule. One look at them, I get glimpses of my pregnant days, which instantly warms my heart. If you struggle to accept and embrace your stretch marks, look back, remember why you got them in the first place, and try to find meaning in them. Maybe you lost weight, and you can look at your marks as your progress and reminder of the hard work you put in to lose that weight, or you could be like me, and it was a bonding experience. Whichever it might be, you deserve to love yourself regardless of what anyone else thinks.

maybe don't conflate fat and skinny as ugly and pretty. they're just terms to describe a body type, and they don't determine how healthy someone is. a person who's around 30lbs overweight could have great health (no coronary issues, hormonal balance, good levels of vitamins/minerals, etc.) while someone who is 30lbs underweight could have a/many disorder(s). attraction-wise/aesthetic-wise, you can like whatever you want, but you should take care of your body (eating intuitively, exercising regularly at a pace that works for you, and hydrating frequently) (then again, thats blanket advice and only generally applicable. ppl have specialized diets and mobility conditions). we're all different :D

Instead of using micro needling, you could get yourself a derma roller and do it at home.
If you are gonna do this, then start with the smallest needles rather than the larger ones because your skin has to get used to it. Also, before using the derma roller, you must disinfect your skin with a rubbing alcohol pad and disinfect the dermaroller before and after. After you're done with the derma roller, you have to moisturize your skin.
This is done so that your skin detects that you've been injured and rebuilds your skin. Luckily, detmatollers don't hurt, they kinds tickle tho.

I can’t wait for the farther future where these get even better so that way they won’t have to take as long but as somebody who’s really insecure with the stretch marks around my thigh area, especially because I used to be skinny and I was still skinny back then and when I got them. I’m just insecure about them so I really want these removed.

The first one doesn’t look like stretch marks more like torn skin. Those are really deep stretch marks that must be so painful.

Does it only work for stretch marks? Does it work for big scars after surgeries?
