Stretch marks are scar tissue without the wound. I appreciate the new ways we're coming up with healing them- regardless of how they came about, that skin is still thin and prone to irritation, pigmentation, keloids with excess trauma, etc.
Yes every time I get a scratch or an ingrown little peach fuzz along a stretch mark it balloons and bruises to a red or purple. :/ they are more itchy.
It's fine if you have stretch marks. It's natural and beautiful in its own way. But you can't help it if you don't like them and your own happiness is more important.
Why every time someone gets a cosmetic medical procedure on yt people have to say stuff like "Its fine if you have this" we get it. Its irrelevant and annoying
@@EarlofBusterbrookand every time someone spreads validation because they want to see more positivity in the world, some asshole comes around to tell them how pointless it is

I agree with you. If something on your body bothers you, and it wasn’t always there- why should you have to get used to it and accept it because people tell you should? I gained a lot of weight on medication and am 20 kgs down from what I was, but I’m about 8 kgs bigger than what I was originally. People tell me, ohh don’t lose anymore weight- you’ll be too skinny! They can ruin self esteem depending on the severity of them. I have them on my shoulders but that’s due to muscle growth. I wouldn’t mind them on my stomach so much but I really hate the sensitivity of it all so I wish better procedures existed. Loose skin from weight loss is probably more of an insecurity for me though
My stretch marks from having kids has completely shattered my self esteem. I can't even look in the mirror before a shower. Fs it's cool they made this a thing! I wish I could accept mine like most people
I love my stretch marks. They remind me of the beautiful journey I took to meet my son, and as he gets older, my marks remain the same. On some days, they serve as a time capsule. One look at them, I get glimpses of my pregnant days, which instantly warms my heart. If you struggle to accept and embrace your stretch marks, look back, remember why you got them in the first place, and try to find meaning in them. Maybe you lost weight, and you can look at your marks as your progress and reminder of the hard work you put in to lose that weight, or you could be like me, and it was a bonding experience. Whichever it might be, you deserve to love yourself regardless of what anyone else thinks.
As great as it is, that there's a way to remove em. I have scars/stretch marks from gaining muscle, just looke slightly brighter than the surrounding skin. maybe don't conflate fat and skinny as ugly and pretty. they're just terms to describe a body type, and they don't determine how healthy someone is. a person who's around 30lbs overweight could have great health (no coronary issues, hormonal balance, good levels of vitamins/minerals, etc.) while someone who is 30lbs underweight could have a/many disorder(s). attraction-wise/aesthetic-wise, you can like whatever you want, but you should take care of your body (eating intuitively, exercising regularly at a pace that works for you, and hydrating frequently) (then again, thats blanket advice and only generally applicable. ppl have specialized diets and mobility conditions). we're all different :D

If you need to alter your body because it will make you feel better, that is your choice & that is fine. HOWEVER, as a man I have noticed stretch marks on my body & they don't bother me. I also think that they don't look bad on women. Honestly, I actually kind of think they look good for some reason. Sometimes, it is OK to change yourself. Sometimes, it's ok to wear your "flaws" proudly. After all, those flaws are a part of who you are.

As someone who absolutely adores the look of stretch marks, it makes me sad when people try to alter them --but i do understand _why_ they would want to do it. For some people body image is a lot.
I just think its more important for people to learn to love themselves no matter how they look and not care about what other people think. No matter how you look, you are the only one of you that ever has and ever will exist. One of a kind. Never to be seen on this planet again once you leave it.

Stretch marks happen when your skin gets pulled more than its elasticity can withstand, this can happen most commonly with weight gain/loss and growth spurts. It is beyond wild that there are people who call it gross and disgusting.
I got sick and went from 300 to 200 lbs and still have a lot of marks on my arms near the shoulders and on my stomach, they actually have gotten better with time but there’s some loose skin that should go away with exercise. This is that crap people told me growing up, “pain is beauty” and then I was a dysfunctional teenager who thought she was just one of the dudes cause screw pain. As I got older I realized that pain isn't beauty. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and comes from within. So removing a part of you for the purpose of my own brain wouldn't be smart when the man who loves me, loves that specific feature amongst many more. ❤

Instead of using micro needling, you could get yourself a derma roller and do it at home. If you are gonna do this, then start with the smallest needles rather than the larger ones because your skin has to get used to it. Also, before using the derma roller, you must disinfect your skin with a rubbing alcohol pad and disinfect the dermaroller before and after. After you're done with the derma roller, you have to moisturize your skin. This is done so that your skin detects that you've been injured and rebuilds your skin. Luckily, detmatollers don't hurt, they kinds tickle tho.

Just use numbing cream, cover with plastic wrap for an hour or so then do it. That's how I dermarolled all my after baby stretch marks away.
Literally my whole stomach just clenched up hard 😂
Do you have more feeling in stretch marks? I have much less in mine.
Wow for the first clip I’ve never seen stretch marks that deep it’s honestly impressive and beautiful in some way like a painting
This is really nice and I'm sure it helps those with stretch marks have more confidence 😊
Stretch marks are scar tissue without the wound. I appreciate the new ways we're coming up with healing them- regardless of how they came about, that skin is still thin and prone to irritation, pigmentation, keloids with excess trauma, etc.
This isn't healing it. It's just masking it and causing more damage as well
Yes every time I get a scratch or an ingrown little peach fuzz along a stretch mark it balloons and bruises to a red or purple. :/ they are more itchy.
@@zoeollie202yessss I have so many red and purple spots on my stretchmarks it's the worst

@@EarlofBusterbrook i said it because if someone feel bad about their stretch marks watching this video and reads this they might feel a bit better. And if they still want to do something about them I don't want them to feel bad about that.
I think you feel like you don't matter to people and have no impact but you do. Every nice thing you do for someone makes them happier. And you probably make your friends and family happy just by being with them.
@@heatherbonelliThere's nothing cringe about reminding people that wasting money on cosmetic surgery won't help them love themselves.
So while I'm not anti self-acceptance, it's also kinda insensitive to tell people they're not allowed to heal their scars or imply they shouldn't because of how pleasing you find them personally.
So keep that in mind while you're commenting about the issue!
Thank you! 👏 I agree with you as someone with stretch marks, which is a triggering subject for me when it comes to struggle with self image.
I don't really care how appealing people find them, they don't make me feel good and I would rather have them gone if I could lol still need to find an effective way to get rid of them that is not a "cover up"
I find those comments saying "to accept them because stretch marks are natural" ignorant, especially when you have them in noticeable areas 😔
I like your comment a lot. I know their intentions are good, but It's kind of annoying seeing some of these comments. This video isn't even saying anything bad about stretch marks, no ugly adjectives, or anything.
And then when I lose it, they compliment me 😂. Just shut up and let me live how I want in my body.

There’s a lot of great things that can be done for deep stretch marks to lessen their appearance if you’re worried about it. ❤ I had Thermage on my tummy and it made it so much better. It hurt a lot but my body made its own new collagen
Que es thermage?gracias
@ Thermage is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure that uses radiofrequency (RF) energy to tighten and smooth the skin on the stomach. They can use it other places but I did it on my tummy and I went to LaserAway to do it.

But this is cap. The video is filmed from an angle that doesn’t show what it looks like after. This does nothing.

If you struggle to accept and embrace your stretch marks, look back, remember why you got them in the first place, and try to find meaning in them. maybe don't conflate fat and skinny as ugly and pretty. they're just terms to describe a body type, and they don't determine how healthy someone is. a person who's around 30lbs overweight could have great health (no coronary issues, hormonal balance, good levels of vitamins/minerals, etc.) while someone who is 30lbs underweight could have a/many disorder(s). attraction-wise/aesthetic-wise, you can like whatever you want, but you should take care of your body (eating intuitively, exercising regularly at a pace that works for you, and hydrating frequently) (then again, thats blanket advice and only generally applicable. ppl have specialized diets and mobility conditions). we're all different :D

As someone who's quite covered in tattoos, all I have to say to someone who wants this is to get some numbing cream ready. Every time my artist goes over any stretch marks it hurts like hell

Be proud of what you are your scars stretch marks paint a picture of trial and strength beauty is goes beyond the body
