I just love you Dr Gary🎀. If you start a fan club I'm in it.!! I think it's wonderful that you're sharing this information as I'm sitting next to my daughter who's only 26 and some of her friends are beginning to have fillers done into lips and watching this my daughter of 26 years is definitely not going to do that have any kind of plastic surgery until she really has to .You are very explicit in what you had to say, it was very clear and understanding to not only me but my younger daughter and we both believe that you are sincerely telling us the truth with regard to plastic surgery including the cost. Lastly may I say that you are helping and guiding Young women and men with two options to either get it the plastic surgery or not to get the plastic surgery and this is the first time in my life that anybody or any doctor has told me the advantages but more importantly the disadvantages of getting plastic surgery especially at a young age. The reason being that the younger you are💯 you will keep having to do it Time After Time After Time and eventually it will lead to damage. When I was growing up my parents always said if something isn't broken just leave it as it is. Once again thank you for sharing I greatly appreciate it the time and energy are taking out to educate the Young and the old . Regards to your wife and have a great day 😊💯😊🌺🌺🌺
Thank you Dorothy for your kind words! 🙏
@@drgarylinkov You are more than 🤗 welcome !! Finally we have found a plastic surgeon who is telling us the truth💯 to so many people on UA-cam💯 that didn't have the proper knowledge that you are now providing us with.🌎 Now when people do get the plastic surgery they'll have all the knowledge they need 💯to make the proper choice with what work they want done regarding the changes to their body 💯🎀😊🎀

Post videos of your daughter. LOL
Interesting, the phrase: "put it off until its needed... "
Then it is, after that 1st surgery ( then truely) 'it is needed'.
Truly needed after that 1st one is done. The requirements of, 'maintenance'.
This Dr. is my guilty pleasure, his face is SO BEAUTIFUL, as a artist I am beguiled by it. I want to sculpt it. So interesting, so character filled.
Sculpting someone, is more personally (intimate) than painting a portrait.
Though, with portraits... there is still a sense, of being deeply being absorbed with your subject.
Its so conflicting... he's an artist. He too sculpts.
Its so personal to capture someone's likeness.
Yet, in plastic surgery it is the 'capture of the subjects likeness', that is spirited away...
My guilty pleasure... to look upon him.
Testing myself 'not to imagine' sculpting that face in my mind.
My guilty pleasure, while
in my heart... I know any UNNECESSARY surgery is vandalism.
So, my muse, is a vandal.
So, my muse, removes the world of muses...
I don't know about face lifts, but... maybe, I know about 'head trips'. My muse, commits vandalism...
and, I am in conflict.
i’m so glad more surgeons are talking about this because fans will continue to deny it and it’s refreshing to see why celebrities really look so perfect. i think it helps a lot of people’s self esteem to know celebs aren’t all natural.
(Edit: why do so many people have a problem with me using the word perfect? obviously they are not perfect but they’ve altered themselves so much to give that impression. People need to calm down)
Perfect?... naw... Uncanny!
Enjoy, your maturation, these people are destroying their human experience.
Every expression floods the brain with certain chemistries.
For instance, when a person smiles, after 20 minutes, it acts like a narcotic.
Loosing that is beyond tragic...
and, its SO much fun to watch,
a face, change its composition with age.
A example I like to give... is... tear off a computer screen and stick it back on...
Is it going to look, and work, better before, OR after, it (that interface) was torn off.
Stop comparing yourself to people

As a 24 years old I really apprecieate the warning! I feel like social media puts so much pressure on young people (especially when it comes to appearance)
I’m only 20 years old and yet I felt the need for plastic surgery. Then it hit me. 20 years old is EXTREMELY young and so is 24! In fact, any age below 40 is so young and social media puts PRESSURE on beauty. When you look at everyday people, you really see the beauty in natural faces and bodies. I say delete Twitter, instagram, tumblr, Facebook and all those. They’re no good for the mental psyche
@@livelaughlove0209 I felt exactly the same. And it shouldn't be this way.
You choose your own battles. If a life in external beauty and internal agony is what you desire, it's there for you to pick. There's no ethical problem. But you do to others as you do onto yourself, and thus you take responsibility. Don't say I didn't warn you.
@@livelaughlove0209 it only affects the weak minded. If you feel pressure from a website, you qualify as super weak
@@LarsRyeJeppesen pretty much everyone at that age is "weak". It's normal to feel insecure especially when you're young and it's basic human nature to want to fit in and feel validated by other people. Confidence and inner strength are skills that take time to develop.
As someone who just turned 30 and certainly doesn't have the money for any of these procedures, I appreciate you explaining why having a lot of surgeries and fillers done at a young age can have damaging long term effects. I thankfully still look fairly young, (people usually think i'm in my early to mid 20s), but as these procedures become more normalized, it feels like women are being expected to look like flawless teenage goddesses well into their 30s and 40s! It's not enough to just be good looking and youthful by "normal" standards - people want the superhuman beauty of their favorite celebrities which only money can buy. I wish we could just let everyone go back to having regular faces with human flaws.
Its becoming a very unhealthy obsession. Well I say becoming, it always was an unhealthy obsession. It's just far more accessible to normal people now.
How to say, ı love you.
i agree with you on most of it. i thought the same when i was in my 30s.
when you reach 47…that is when i would like to hear your opinion again.
@@MyLolle What are you talking about? My around 65yo mom looks great without any work. Why wouldn’t I do the same?
Sadly, until social media loses relevance, we won't go back to a "normal" standard. The good news is despite millions of people on every social media platform, there are still millions that don't interact on social media.
Love how you express yourself and are non-bias. Unlike others who get too emotionally involved and speculate all kinds of stuff who doesn't seem consistent. Thank you, straight to the point, no exagerated theory, or preference. Love that

Ariana is one of those celebs I’ve looked up several times to see what kind of work she’s had done, because it’s OBVIOUS she has, yet so many people defend the idea she hasn’t. There’s nothing wrong with it, I personally think it’s extremely obvious she had some sort of eyebrow lift, it’s the most prevalent change. Thank you for this video :)
hahah yeah i got abused on instagram for suggesting she had a nose job. False idols will always turn people into weirdos
eyebrow lift? Are we ignoring the blackface lmao.
“It’s obvious” why are you even lying
Agreed, at least Ari said that she changed and changes her face, mostly with Botox and minor procedures (in general). The “fans” that say that she didn’t firstly never listen to her (cause she talked about it before) and secondly are blind lol. Ari doesn’t come out and talk about her changes a lot but she said she did and never denied it. What pisses me off are those who clearly had it done and deny deny deny, they didn’t even had the decency to stay quiet lol
@@rahhuuuu2321 stfu lmao. She has obviously had work done.
I’m a fan and I can’t believe her fans are in denial of it. They really think multiple surgeons are lying about her surgery. What would you guys get out of lying?? It makes no sense
There’s no shame either way, I think people in general would appreciate the truth.
They deny as it breaks off the illusion that these celebrities are somewhat perceived as perfect
People who worship celebrities usually lack cognitive abilities and reason. It’s been studied before.
I love Ariana so much, but it’s frustrating to know that her fans are denying it.. I hate to say it but Ari’s fandom is very toxic. I really don’t care that she had plastic surgery, she is beautiful with and without it as well, but as a fan it’s super annoying that u deny the obvious.. it’s like they think that it’s some kind of an issue to have a plastic surgery nowadays, especially as a celebrity
@@moonlightbae7762 How can you be a fan of a fake, superficial liar?
I really appreciate the format of these videos: the goals are to show you how some of our favorite celebrities actually attain their perfect looks, how much it actually costs, and the actual risks/ramifications behind them. It is not shameful or hateful and is executed very eloquently. Thank you!
ı love your partners...
this is perhaps the most clear and concise video on her surgeries, and knowing its from a specialist like you, probably also the most accurate. theres only one thing, theres a picture of an even younger Ariana (before the red hair) where her brows are significantly lower. unfortunately the mystery for me has always been whether she had already had that first brow lift in the first picture of her that you showed (at such a young age) it’s just always baffled me. she’s stunning and i wish she didn’t have to do all this in order to be considered beautiful but thats how it is for now.
All about our love...
She can do whatever she wants to her face/body but it's weird to keep denying it in this day and age 🤷🏻♀️
Yeah, she’d have a lot of support if she was honest. People don’t care about celebrities having surgery, they care about the denying.
Why would anyone wanna admit their insecurities to the entire world?? It’s none of anyone’s damn business seriously
Yeah and essentially when she’s got such a young and impressionable fanbase. They will see her face change and think that is how aging works and be disappointed when their face doesn’t change and “glow up” as they get older and feel bad about themselves. When she says she’s got nothing done to her face they’ll believe that without questioning because obviously young fans want to believe their favorite celebs are honest. It doesn’t surprise me that so many young girls are self conscious when these “perfect” celebs are out here denying having surgeries and then sell products like for example skin care saying people can achieve the same look with that when in reality the only way to achieve that look would be surgery. I’ve seen many of Arianas fans say she’s changed her face through manifestation and I can just imagine how many fans might believe in that and then get disappointed when they realize their face won’t change like that through manifestation and then loose self esteem or get depressed because of feeling like they’re not good enough since they can’t manifest a face like that.
Did he say something different? No, so why do you write that. We all know that
@@strangerthings88 I completely understand why someone wouldn't want to admit they've had plastic surgery. However, it's an issue when celebrities have a young fanbase, claim that the changes are from puberty, and sell beauty products. It makes people think they'll have a "glow up" too when they hit puberty or buy their product.
Ariana still looks beautiful, but it makes me sad that she is having so many procedures early in life. She had naturally pretty features and I'm worried that she won't know when to stop. It's cliche, but our differences make us beautiful and unique. We don't all need high eyebrows, a small nose, big lips, and a sharp jaw.
The downside about getting plastic surgery when you’re young is that the body is still changing. Drooping and sagging is unavoidable even with surgery.
She’ll have to keep doing it just for upkeep.
I think it comes down to her job. She is being looked at and ridiculed by some almost every day, so I think her insecurities show more. And my guess, to supress her insecurities, she undergo surgeries. Hopefully she gains more confidence for her beauty and stops the surgeries.
@@kingrodriguez3095 absolutely
I don’t think personally she had that many surgeries :) she more like had. Thread face lift !
@@onyxxx08 Yeah, I think her only surgery is the nose thing, the rest are probably botox and fillers. The jaw and chin fillers I don't buy, though. I think her face shape is pretty natural.
So Lorry Hill was pretty much spot on…
They love discrediting her😔
I love her videos!
Her hairline and eyelids 2021/ 2022 is a dead giveaway of the ponytail facelift. Her eyes are sitting lower on her face.
So many young people (both boys and girls) hold Ariana up as the epitome of beauty, without knowing that's she's not all natural. Thank you for this breakdown. It's healthy to know that that's not how most real humans look like 🙏
she was still stunning without the surgery too
@@ananya.m.2158 Which makes it even sadder that she went through with so many procedures 😔
She's still stunning with plastic surgery.
@@Vivienwestphal It’s not tho? She’s beautiful either way.
she should have stopped halfway she was looking amazing but now she looks like she's disappearing piece by piece.
As someone who has followed Ari since the Victorious days, I actually think her initial brow lift was in 2011. You can see the difference in the distance between her eye and brow and also that her eyelids are more visible starting around that point. It was a pretty noticeable shift watching her in motion weekly - changed the overall appearance of her face.
I do like the brow lift because it’s opened her eyes and made them look bigger, skin smoother But she is getting quite a bit at a young age I’d be worried about the upkeep as I got older but she can afford it lol Also everyone is going for the same look too now becuz of insta, like Kylie Jenner Everyone wants that Instagram model look with an hourglass figure Ari looks like that too now Like what happens when that’s not society’s idea of perfect anymore? More surgeries?
Dude same!! I find it weird how all the plastic surgery videos Iv seen on Ariana place the eyebrow raise in 2013- theres such a difference between 2010 and 2011. I defes think its too high to be labeled as just a change in the plucking and makeup. I wouldnt be suprised if she had 1 in 2011, another in 2013, then finally the corrective surgery that evened her eyebrows, and the doctor pointed out in 2021.
she started to have that "lost deer" look then, I don't know either how it's not mentioned.
Exactly her first surgeries were well before 2016. Particularly her nose.
@@wilsonclaire3352 exactly
Dr. Gary a question I've always had was what makes a person's face look the way it does, naturally speaking, such as bone structure, fat, and muscle structure.
It'd be incredible if u could give a video on this describing the types of faces and features that people have and show what underlying structure is giving that look!
This is the first, accurate, unbiased video that I've seen on this. I adore this woman. For this, I thank you.
It's sobering to be reminded that the cost of revision is always higher than the initial procedure. I think a lot of young people especially rush into getting plastic surgery as soon as they can scrape the money together (or put in on a credit card) without considering complications or having money set aside for any fixes they might need in the future. Plastic surgery isn't just a risk to your health but it's also a financial risk and needs to be treated accordingly. Don't cheap out on your surgeon and have some kind of back up plan for any unforeseen problems!
Brighten your smile with love.
I love your teeth...
As a fan of Ariana Grande, I always found it SO WEIRD that her fans always deny she's had it, when it's so obvious she has gotten plastic surgery. There's nothing wrong with getting it in anyway, so I was always confused on why the fans try to deny!
I'm also an Ariana fan and I cannot agree more with what your saying, idk why fans keep denying it. I mean, u can also tell that most of the changes are because of losing or gaining weight yk, but like it's so obvious that she had some work done, and there's nothing wrong with that so yeah, I'm confused ab why people keep denying it. She is beautiful and she will always be, even if she has had some plastic surgeries done
Bc she always denied it herself, saying it was her "natural cute nose" and stuff like that. Her fans are young and just follow what she says
probably because ariana has denied it herself, so of course her most loyal fans are going to agree with her without doing proper research.
They would get mad too 😂
@@feebzcheez she just denied one time that was for her nose she nothing other than that ever
I love the part where you give proper warning to your audience. It’s nice to have a doctor be real like that
This is soooo insane!!! I got sick to my stomach as you named all of those procedures! I couldn't imagine having allll that in my face! I used to think Ariana was one of the most beautiful women in the world. But in the last year, with her updated face, I don't see her as the same person. This is the perfect example of finally taking it too far, and sadly, I think she will continue to do more in time. This is horribly sad to me. Anyway, wonderful video, great detail.
I have definitely noticed more women getting the “Fox eye” or almond eye done surgically, where before they had more rounded, doll-like eyes. I think part of the downside of these cosmetic surgery “trends” is that everyone starts to look the same. I have round-ish doll eyes and I love them! People need to think very hard before getting cosmetic surgery done, once it’s been done it’s much more difficult to go back if you decide you don’t like it later on.
Exactly how I feel! I have big eyes and love them and it makes me sad to see big-eyed girls change that
to add on from the perspective of a Southeast Asian, I'm personally finding myself getting more and more uncomfortable with the normalization of these said "fox eye" and eye lift surgeries.. I don't think that people are necessarily trying to look more East/South East Asian (although some of them certainly are), but it is a bit frustrating that this eye shape is only acceptable and desirable on non Asian people.
It’s a trend because it’s common on East and southeast Asians, and poc features always trend on white people :(
Also its gives off the impression that there is something inherently wrong with having those types of features, which makes people very insecure.
@@mahi93162 do you know that some white people also have almond eyes?
I really appreciate this break down. I think a lot of people, myself included, don't think about the maintenance costs of plastic surgery. Knowing that it's not just the cost of surgery and healing time, but also the 10, 20 years down the line, put things into perspective on what these "quick fixes" entail.
Love in the future.
I saw Ariana's video addressing people who may have talked about her health concerns. I am a fan of Ariana and love her so much. It made me worry so I searched for more info and I found your video. She has all the right to do what she wants on her body. I'm proud of her that she makes her own decisions. Your video is very informative and I learned a lot here. Thank you for being honest about the plastic surgery thing and for giving us warnings and reminders. I love your videos Dr.Gary.
6:01 it looks subtle to that point and when you show the comparison of the two photos it's an instant realization of how much there was actually done. Whoever has done it must be a grand master in the field.
It sucks how people throw away their natural, individual charm for no good reason. I'm all for plastic surgery if its purpose is to make your features more harmonious, but I really feel like this should never be influenced by trends.
The right side of the brain controls the left side of the body...
The left side of the brain controls the right side of the body...
The right side of the brain is creative.
The left side of the brain is analytical.
Harmonious Features?
Harmony, comes from the inside. And, our faces are not for us. They are for, telegraphing communication to a populous.
unless, the argument, for it being ('our face') is a physiological one...
because, 'expressions' flood the brain with chemicals... so in that way our faces are for us.
not sure whats left, of that, after surgery, (and fillers and and frozen cast of a botox glance... ) but, according to physicians, after the first fall under the knife, more surgery is yet required, to come 'on the rise' (for maintenance).
Unnecessary surgery, is The Trend, and the juggernaut of 'make up' and 'special lighting' by influencers, after words, to obscure, and continue to justify, the botched blotched abominations (this too is also the sin).
Thoughts on: when people 'pay to loose their face', and no monetary wealth, can bring that 'priceless likeness' back again. It can't be put back in place.
The too hard lesson, of taking something... so valuable... for granted.
Our faces are not for us.
Back in the day, (here's a generation comparison):
Girls didn't own a mirror, until they were 16. It was a customary gift, sort of a rite of passage. But, before then, to own a mirror, was not expected as 'a given' reality (&it was a very expensive gift).
I, myself, didn't know what I looked like (in great detail) until I was over 5 foot tall.
So, its perhaps generational.
But... that doesn't mean, the generation of the past, were 'wrong'.
I suppose, I should, apologize for babbling on.
That's a good principle
People don't just get plastic surgery for "no good reason" 💀
What they mean is that the reason isn’t worth it
You sound hypocrite tbh. What if these are the features she wanted in the first place? Then uou sound like you do not allow plastic surgery in the first plsce either.

I find it sad that someone so naturally pretty felt the need for all these procedures, and at such a young age too. I can't help but feel that some people start off with one procedure and then become hooked on "improving" themselves with more and more surgery, only to end up looking really strange. A case in point is Katie Price - not sure if she's known in the US, but she's very well known here in the UK, a former glamour model who has sliced and diced her once naturally attractive face to oblivion.

I have a feeling from watching these videos that he would be very careful to guide his patients. The old idea of "If its not broken , don't fix it" comes to mind. I think being touched by his own infirmity has probably made him a better Doctor/ Surgeon and human being. He understands the pain of his clients. and understands what works and what doesn't.
Such an important concept for younger folks I feel like. I always appreciate a doctor who doesn’t push surgery or procedures on you even if it would profit them. Plus when you’re younger you think you are so sure about a plastic surgery procedure that it’s easy to be swayed to find another doctor who might do it regardless of if you really need it or not. Ten years later, our opinions might change and we may regret our decisions. Dr Linkov is doing his patients a huge favor by saying you don’t need it.
I love your smile...
Your secret love.
Excellent video! It's very important that surgeons are discussing this because many celebrities deny having anything done - including Ariana who claims she just finished puberty and all of those changes are "natural". But the denial really affects the self esteem of younger people who wonder why when they finished puberty, they didn't get a thinner nose, well formed jaw, different eye shape, bigger lips, breasts, etc.
It's weird that they don't want to admit what they've done and it's dishonest too.
I absolutely love your job.
Videos like this are so healing for me as a girl in my 20’s
I feel naive for having NO idea that she had any work done at all. But of course she has, I can’t believe I didn’t see it and would compare myself to celebs like this because I don’t have a strong jaw line or fuller lips but thank you for shining a light on this!
Check out Lorry Hill. She does a great breakdown. She’s just a lover of plastic surgery, she’s not a surgeon at all. Her main goal is to lift the veil of secrecy surrounding Hollywood’s ‘standard of beauty’ because pretty everyone’s had something done. So many of her subbies have commented how her vids have helped them stop comparing their own beauty to something that was never natural. Her vids are really compassionate and balanced.

I am in the beauty industry, I own a spa, am an holistic esthetician who also formulates skincare. So, I walk a fine line between encouraging my clients to do certain procedures, and recommending a more holistic and natural approach as well as some acceptance of imperfections!
[edited for more clarity] I find it REALLY interesting how people who alter their looks surgically will look in their 40s & 50s (scar tissue build-up + natural changes).
I'm not sure if celebrities take into consideration that beauty trends change over time, and transforming your body features according to those trends is temporary in principle. Trends over the integrity of one's own body - that is genuinely fascinating.

She looks amazing, but I’m so mad at how long it took me to realize that the perfection you see in celebrities is so unattainable and inorganic. Young girls are growing up comparing themselves to people who’ve been sewn and stitched up repeatedly and it’s not okay to pretend that these celebrities were born like that. Doctor I cannot believe you finally did the videos we wanted to see! Your audience grew so suddenly 😊. Nice!
what i loved the most about this is how neutral you were, you did not shame her in any way, a very professional yet entertaining video
but he lied about her ‘repeatedly denying surgeries’ //: it’s one thing to not address them (as ariana does), & another thing to deny them or lie about it when asked.
@@PrettyRaveBae she did deny. there are multiple articles about her denying on twitter in 2019 about having any work done on her nose. the tweet she made is now deleted, unfortunately, but the text is preserved on the wayback machine
Love is like the ocean...
@@GreenSaphir3 thats the only time shes denied it publicly tho...she hasn't even talked about any possible eye or brow surgeries she could've had done.
I wonder what happens to skin when it is repeatedly stretched and stretched? Does it get thinner? Is there a risk of permanent marks like stretchmarks? Never heard about that on the face!
good question
We are probably seeing only now the generation that really went nuts with the amount of work done and they aren’t exactly aging gracefully.
@@biazacha Not true. You must be very very young because people have been getting surgery for a very long long time. 99% of Hollywood
I think it actually does get too thin, to the point it cannot be worked on. And it definitely loses its elasticity. There is some celebrities you can look, Courtney Cox, Priscilla Presley, Janice Dickinson etc. That many surgeries plus age does not mix well. Give it another 10 years and Jennifer Lopez, Kim K are going to start looking a little....weird.... when the surgeries catch up.
It loses elasticity I think. Meaning when you get older it will have even more wrinkles unless you keep stretching.
I am so glad you posted that warning at the end, that was my first thought that she is so young and pretty originally
Really useful as we are bombarded with these perfect looking celebs all the time to see what has gone into it. And a little sad. Many of these people look great to start with, a little better after something small, but just keep going on and on. It's unimaginable that anyone so young would have so much.
I love how quickly and efficiently you go through this. Very to the point instead of dragging it out like a lot of UA-camrs.
Your hair is very beautiful...
Without seeing pictures chronologically it would be hard for me to pick out what exactly was done (except lip fillers- that's just kind of a given), especially because there's so much hair and makeup on top of it, but seeing it like this it's kind of obvious. If nothing else people have to be able to recognize that's a very different nose than the one she started with. I'm worried that younger people will look at her current pictures and think you should be able to achieve that type of look with contour and eyeliner, and then feel bad that they can't.
I imagine how long a video on a KPop idol would take cause that’s exactly how it works, they’re constantly doing very minor work but when you look at a pic of four years ago the difference is shocking.
I just wish these type of videos would only use video footage or photos with no photoshop and not as much makeup. Several pictures used here were from photoshoots etc and those are edited to perfection.
i love your videos. also love how there isn’t extra noise or sound effects
I am scared for her...her nose is ruined and if she does another surgery it could get botched irreversibly...so beautiful and ruined herself. Even the most beautiful people are insecure needlessly. Love yourself!
She might have or will end with a type of body dysmorphia sadly.
That's a very needed and caring warning that you added. Thank you for your clear video.
Do you think you could do an analysis on Mariah Carey next ?
Will add to the list!
I think so too. She had a long period where she could not post any live video without any filter on it. Looking back, it all seems so sad to me because she was always naturally beautiful

The point the Dr is making is if u start young u will more likely need to do revisions and further surgery.
It’s very sad. Her sad fans blame it on makeup but if it was makeup, look on her most recent video on rem beauty where she isn’t wearing makeup and compare that to a video from god is a woman where she has no makeup. SMH.
@Real Aiglon Not sure. She fit beauty standards to a T, so it doesn’t make sense for her to get plastic surgery that young.
@@tabithastudios girl she was in the entertainment industry where women are basically made to feel like they need a bunch of stuff done. u can fit the beauty standards and still be very insecure & develop body dystrophin
I love your work and I really love that you included a warning about starting young and getting multiple surgeries over the years. I'm 31 and aside from a growth removal, haven't had any work done for fear of it not turning out right. But I'm seeing a lot of people starting cosmetic procedures (mainly facial fillers and teeth veneers) as early as their teens. I do feel this is very much influenced by social media and celebrity culture, which of course doesn't discuss potential risks or botched work.
I'd like to suggestion for you to expand your point into a whole video. I feel that could be very, very helpful to young people considering cosmetic procedures to understand the short and long-term risks. That goes for both surgical and nonsurgical procedures, as fillers are often touted as a "safer" option to going under the knife.
Do it! You're getting older and you'll need it.
@@ytsux9259 aging isn't a flaw and if it ain't broke why fix it? 😉
@@ytsux9259 no one ever NEEDS cosmetic work!
I don't think this is like a drug. The more you do it, the more you need to do to satisfy you and society. Because people are doing them more and more it's making younger and younger people feel "forced" to do them to just to be "normal" looking.
I enjoyed reading this.
Brilliant summary and refreshing to hear a plastic surgeon warning of the ramifications and cost of multiple surgeries - partic when started at such a young age. Best plastic surgeon on here by far!
Right. I feel like this guy actually has morals.
@@REALTOR_MI he’s just doing his job lol
Love your garden...
Videos like this are key to helping people, esp the young and more impressionable understand that these procedures are being done to produce the images that they’re seeing being praised and applauded. If it weren’t for the celeb’s career and financial status, they wouldn’t even look like the version of themselves that we all see, they would look more “average” and have imperfections just like most people do. I’m someone who treasures those imperfections in people because they show character and make that person unique. And notice I said the celebrity would look more average, but not any less beautiful, because average= natural=beauty. Not saying that a person who has surgery does not look beautiful as well, but I feel in this day & age people equate plastic surgery results as more beautiful than natural non-enhanced beauty and that just should not be the case.
We love video marketing...
I think you may have missed as a part of her newest surgeries (ponytail lift, revision brow lift) that she had her jaw implant replaced ? the first thing I noticed with her newest face that made me google if she had surgery was her jaw, it looks way more square and pronounced. Does anyone agree?
Wow ! I can't believe you've already surpassed 150K subscribers. Very well deserved and I'm glad to see your channel growing so quickly.
Ariana has had so many faces 😭 its crazy how her fans deny it
I had one surgery for the sake of breathing. It was scary, but I'm happy I had it done. I was unable to smell anything unless I stuffed my nose almost into whatever I was trying to smell, be it food, perfume or whatever. My nostrils also would slam shut every time I tried to inhale, so I kept breathing through my mouth. It took a long time for my nose to stop being dry and achy. Having an allergy also didn't help. The one time I forgot to open my mouth wide, I felt like my nose got sneezed off my face. It hurt and bled afterwards, and for a few days I lost all sense of smell. That was, to me, even scarier than the operation. In the end, it all worked out. I can now breathe freely through my nose, I can smell things much better and I feel much more comfortable in my own skin (since my nose was very crooked to the left, I felt ugly). Adding to it... I used to get sneezing fits whenever I blew my nose into a tissue, and that stopped, for whatever reason, after the operation. Even though I write pretty positively about it, I'm not sure if I'd want to go through that again. The stitches were also supposed to "vanish" and they didn't. They started to pinch, so I took a pair of scissors and cut them out (Don't do that, you can F things up real bad. I'm an idiot, so don't be me). Also, when they removed those silicone splints... Believe me, when I say: You do not want to see what comes out of your nose. And that feeling :X like your brain just comes out through your nose. That scarred me for life, lol.
One funny slice (maybe just to me): When they put me under, my eyes stayed open, so I have this picture in mind, how they are working on my nose, just to get stared at, unblinking. For some reason, that puts me into hysterics whenever I imagine that xD
Hi Dr. Gary! The warning in this video really helped me think hard about the procedures I've been considering saving a large amount of money to get. I'm only 25, and I'm currently active duty enlisted, so I don't make a lot of money as it is. Now, when I reflect on what you said, I feel kind of relieved, as though I don't HAVE to do these things in order to find myself beautiful. I may reconsider, and put the little bit of money I make towards something more along the lines of a house, or maybe something else. Who knows? Thank you for offering the perspective.
Lyndi, I think you might like the channel One Big Happy Life. Scarlett was in the military young and then transformed her life financially and now she's a millionaire. She's really inspiring to watch. She was a financial attorney, but now runs her own business.
Do it! Life is too short to be afraid and conservative. Do it!!!
Yes get that house!! Be independent girl!!
Buy that house honey!!!!!
The house would be the one thing that can bring you joy and fulfillment for a very, very long time.
I always gain so much information from these analyses, thank you for making them! 😊
this video was much much needed
Everyone wants to look the same for whatever reason. Reminds of the “Weeds” theme song except that was about HOUSES lol
I feel like this also highlights how easily you can become addicted to getting cosmetic procedures and become dysphoric. I think most of us would agree that after the first few surgeries she had achieved what is considered the beauty standard, but she’s kept going and now she looks less and less human. You also mentioned how thin she is and it makes me wonder what kind of mental health problems she’s facing. Being a celebrity, especially a child celebrity, is so damaging. Be kind to yourselves! That being said, I will be getting cosmetic work done as I age if I can afford it. Probably not in my 20s though.
If your avatar is of your face, I would be very minimalistic at most with the surgery. Definitely not a nose job, because of multiple, often undiscussed risks like too little anesthesia being used during surgery, and the potential for getting a painkiller addiction during recovery.
You might consider a facial exercising mask and some conductivity gel (plus rubbing alcohol to remove gel residue from your face). The gel is applied to the mask’s electrodes, which you then apply to your face. The mask uses electro stimulation to invoke mild muscle twitches in the face and upper neck. Run it 15-30 minutes per day. This will increase blood flow to your facial muscles (the exact opposite of Botox), keeping skin more rejuvenated with continued use. Plus, there’s no surgery or expensive maintenance involved. As an aside, the facial exercises can tuck in the jowls, sharpening the jawline and cheekbones.
At 26 she (on my opinion) reached the highest beauty and in the coming years the surgeries only became unecessary there's no turning back tho, if she notices that and tries to fix it won't be the same, unfortunately the coming surgeries she'll try to get will more likely take her beauty away more than help her kind sad.
I like your quote a lot.
She was beautiful before she had any surgery at all. She should have kept the face she was born with. There was absolutely no need for any “corrections.”
i'm really grateful that you made this video, i think Ariana especially is someone who everyone compares themselves to a lot seeing as she looks so flawless, it seems all so natural and effortless until you take into account the hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of surgeries, likely expensive skin treatments and also professionally done makeup, no one should ever have to suffer insecurity because their natural appearance doesn't match someone else's fabricated/hugely enhanced one
ı love your video.
I love your content and how even as a surgeon you preach about body positivity and trying to be happy first before pulling the trigger to get surgery.. If you see this, could you please make one of Dove Cameron?? There have been a few videos about her surgeries but most of them aren't from surgeons. when I was younger I just thought she had the most perfect doll-like face and I was surprised when surgery allegations spread. And she ALWAYS denies having had any surgery done.. which can be so detrimental to her younger audience's perceptions of beauty.
Thanks a lot for the kind advice!
I love your videos. Tbh you’ve already educated me so much to where I’ve dropped two surgeries I had in mind! I’ve decided the risk wasn’t worth the benefit for me for now and that I could sit on it a while longer. Thank you so much for making these videos 🤍
Yeah, I’m not a huge fan of most plastic surgeries, especially nose jobs - they carry too many risks not often discussed, including getting too much or too little anesthesia, and risk of painkiller addiction from recovery.
I definitely thought about plastic surgeries until I was in the hospital and had to suffer a real surgery that saved my life. The recovery process was hell but quick because I was 16 at the time. Since then i've been against it solely because I know I would cry while recovering especially since the face is super sensitive for me.
I’ve been a subscriber since 10k subs. I’m so excited that your channel is growing & that you’re exposing the hard truths of celebrity plastic surgery culture. So many people compare themselves to these people that have access to the best doctors & money. Ariana looked adorable without surgery. It’s sad that she felt compelled to get a brow lift and/or a facelift at her age!🤦♀️ I had a brow lift at age 38 because of premature aging + my eyelids were heavy. Anyways, she looks adorable.
Love your love the most.
Thank you for that warning. I’ve been pretty self conscious these days and I’m 20, I didn’t even think about that age factor
If you see, when you said that she had a cantoplastic it was the first photo with the high ponytail and I think it was the tail that lift her eyes up
Ugh gosh she was pretty, why can't people age normally
I think the same. She was naturally beautiful and she can age gracefully as long as she took care of herself. The potential scar tissue from present and future series can have a negative outcome if she has additional surgery.

The surgeries are to avoid and prolong the aging. A lot of women are afraid of looking “old” especially younger people.
It's so shocking to me that people so young are having such altering procedures. I just can't imagine the psychology to accept plastic surgery as being so normal, like getting a haircut, especially given the risks of having surgery and the impacts long-term on the shape of the face and skin. and the muscles? bones? As a teen in the 80s, we only ever heard of nose jobs in the modeling industry and that was quite frowned upon outside the industry. I never quite realized the standards and requirements, and the pressure.
I've already seen people comparing plastic surgery to going to get a haircut, it's insane, people are desensitized to it and it's becoming so normalized.
As someone who had 2 jaw surgeries and it makes me look different now because I had these jaw issues since I was a child, I can tell you that there is somewhat an emotional journey that comes with getting work done. I went through an identity crisis because I look really different from my school pictures. I look different but I have a picture when I was toddler that shows that how my face looked now it similar to my toddler pic way (way before the jaw issues became an issue). I’m happy that I can chew properly and breath better and have better posture but I’m glad I did when I was out of high school because I wouldn’t want to deal with people accusing me of plastic surgery and the jealousy form others who don’t even want to sympathize with what I went through.
@@ritaevergreen7234 It's different because you had a medical issue to address. I have jaw issues and wondering if at some point I will need surgery too. I did have plastic surgery, on my mouth when I was 8, 4 years after a dog bite to my mouth and face to correct the scar. My mom's decision.

Thank you Dr Gary this reminds us young women that we shouldn’t aspire to look like certain celebrities because they have help from their success to look the way they do. 👏
So detailed and beatifully made.
No one should be criticized or even shamed for plastic surgery. If someone feels they need to, if it is on their own accord, perfectly fine. It is no one else's business.
I however have an issue with people, specifically celebrities/influencers who lie about it, deny anything was done, thus setting totally unrealistic standards for their young, impressionable followers.
In addition to that celebrities often monetize their unnatural beauty and sell cosmetics, diets and what not to their followers, who often believe they can attain some of that beauty when it is in reality only attainable by plastic surgery and tons of money. That's insidious.
I think you might be missing her very first brow lift and nose job in the 2011 pic. Her brows are definitely higher and it looks like the tip of her nose has been refined.

If you wanna find 'natural beauty', don't go to Hollywood. PERIOD.
Exactly
I'd honestly say.. don't look at anyone online these days as an example of natural beauty. I mean instagram models, even tiktokers; not the average person. So many young people have at LEAST fillers on there now, it's actually alarming. People are growing up with such a warped sense of reality. I saw comments 5 years ago about a natural woman's aged, slightly wrinkled lips saying "ew, that's not how lips should look". It's scary and I'd rather live offline!
