The counterpart to "a crush is just a lack of information" is the advice gurus give: "silence is gold", ie don't say too much, don't say anything if possible... What a wise and comprehensive list! I love it! 🥰
most people don't know what they want, the know what others want and then decided they can't live without it .I like it , thanks Matt many realization I too find very relatable
I’m 45. Thank you for teaching all these things I need to know for getting back into the world after years of caring for my elderly father. I’m putting myself out there! But not today 😂 BUT I’m preparing for it.
Hey Sarita! Thanks for taking a few seconds out of your day to write this comment - it's so great to hear that you're putting yourself out there again! Wishing you only the best in life!
Hey Matt, First off, I want to say great video. As I am about to turn 20, I tend to get caught up in my own ambition, pursuing investment banking, getting good grades, etc. hearing your insight helps me realize what’s really important. I think as ambitious beings we all bear the residual effects of challenging ourselves (we tend to neglect the present moment or the bigger picture) but there’s more to life than pure ambition, we need to make sure we really enjoy what we do. I personally love the saying “be where your feet are”. It reminds me to truly be conscious of the present moment. Life is too short for us to pursue something that we don’t truly enjoy. Hearing this reminds me to take it all in. Keep up the great content!
Hey Matt! I love that - “be where your feet are” is such a great way to put it. Gonna keep this quote in mind as I remind myself that though it’s healthy to want to achieve more, it’s just as important to be mindful and appreciate the present.
your insights are so practical and genuine - thank you so much for sharing! I can tell that you're someone who really puts their heart into living life, and that's truly inspiring to learn from
Rising junior looking to recruit consulting. Came to the channel for recruiting advice but really enjoying the life advice on top of that. Keep up the good work and thanks for starting your channel
Hi Matt, Thanks for your great videos! Since finding your channel, I've been impressed by the quality and content. As a former consultant and current MBA student who just turned 25, I really relate to them. Your point on confidence has motivated me to push my limits - thanks for that! Your emphasis on celebrating small victories to build confidence, and finding balance between structure and chaos resonated with me. Meditation has helped me focus amidst a distraction-filled world. Regarding values, they will evolve over time, although staying true to them is key, one must always revisit them to check for changes and accomodate/reject them. We do have to work harder for our relationships, but I feel that now is the time we make our careers, and relationships will sort themselves out soon. On your final point, I see life as about finding joy in challenges and learning. Resilience allows us to enjoy life more. Just my perspective, and keep the videos coming!
Hey Krishna! Love to hear from a fellow consultant - I’m glad you resonated with a lot of the ideas and I appreciate your level of introspection. Best of luck as you navigate your MBA!
I really admire the way you speak English as an Asian guys, I'm studying but it seems like harder and harder overtime. Could you give me some advice or tell a bit 'bout your language learning method ^^
Brother is Asian and I'm Indian. Almost everything he said makes so much sense. Like thing of respecting elders, parents, life philosophy. Though these are truths but we Asians are quite similar in many ways.
Awesome video bro! What are your beliefs about God and if he sent prophets. You can look into Islam or reading the Quran. As Muslims we believe Allah created suffering in this life which is a test for the afterlife.
Hi Matt, I’m 20 and during this last year I thought a lot about the majority of the topics that you talked about. Thank you so much for sharing your point of view.🙏🫶
