'Network-wide failure of UK air traffic control systems', Loganair reports

- Air traffic controllers across the country have experienced a technical fault with the airline Loganair reporting a "network-wide failure".
NATS, the national air traffic controllers, said in a statement: "We are currently experiencing a technical issue and have applied traffic flow restrictions to maintain safety."

I doubt it. Defence is certainly not going to care about civilian aircraft. Fighter pilots can easily avoid jumbos and find any pesky migs.

Yes. We are defenseless. Rumours are saying the Russians are invading near Dundee but because all internet has been down there since Friday it's impossible to confirm.
The RAF don't use NATS and they can see everything in UK airspace 24/7, so there's no risk of military flights bumping into airliners. The reverse isn't true which is why airliners and cargo planes have to be restricted ( or grounded if NATS goes down completely).

That's the same everywhere though. Every country has its own own amazing places and customs or traditions, it's own stunning scenery that people from overseas wish to visit. Every country that has tourists has its own people go on holiday abroad. That's because people from that country - whatever it is - are used to and have experienced their own attractions so wish to go overseas to experience other and different ones. It's not a reflection on each country but wanting to broaden your experiences and horizons. For instance, I live very close to Snowdonia national park, drive past castles every day, but I've seen those daily, beautiful though they are, and have also experienced other places such as the New Forest, the Blue Pool at Dorset, Cheddar Gorge, various caves, stately homes including Beaulieu and its motor museum, but that doesn't mean I don't want to experience an Ice Hotel, or the black beach at Reynisfjara Iceland, when I retire (thats assuming youre allowed to move more than 15 minutes away in 8 years time) or make my home country (North Wales and UK) and less beautiful.
