My dream car! Bought my own Coupe 6 month ago and it really is a dream. The motor is one of the best motors BMW has ever made. And for +- 15k€, the rarity, low insurance and tax, quality, it really is a no brainer and probably one of the best car deals you can get.
Just bought my coupe a few months ago and absolutely love it. I owned a 2.0 z4 convertible before. The coupe is way faster but I find both cars deliver the same kind of fun in my opinion and it's not always down to power.
My second Z4 was a 3 litre M sport coupe with 20 inch AC Schnitzer wheels and blacked out rear windows. I bought it the day after taking my first Z4 into BMW for its first MOT. I loved it but the ride was seriously hard. I didn’t hold on to it for very long as I craved the convertible. I’m now on my fifth Z4
Just bought one today, January 2007 model, black with BBS rims and BMW Individual cognac colored leather interior (seats, door panels and part of dashboard). It has run 174.000 kilometers. Needs to have all brake discs replaced but for the rest in perfect condition.
I recently bought one of these 3.0 SI coupes after looking for six months. They are an absolutely beautiful car to drive and pretty good value still but are starting to appreciate here in New Zealand. Most examples currently on the market here are Japanese spec imports and the manual boxes are super rare. I managed to find a lower mileage very well looked after NZ new example with the six speed auto with paddles in midnight blue. These coupes are also a relatively rare car here and I believe that only 12,000 3.0 SI coupes were ever made worldwide. They are definitely not a car that is seen on the road here everyday.
I actually drive a Z4m coupe and it's amazing the best part about it is they didn't make a lot of these cars. So it's very rare that you actually see one on the road at the same time.
The BMW Z4 3.0si Coupe with a manual transmission (828 units in North America) is a standout rarity: - **BMW Z8**: Even rarer with 2,543 units in the U.S., underscoring the exclusivity of both models. - **Audi R8 V10 Manual (First Gen)**: The Z4 is rarer in North America among only 828 units. - **Chevrolet Corvette C6 ZR1**: Fewer units compared to the ZR1's 4,684 units, the Z4 Coupe maintains a unique appeal. - **Lotus Exige S (North America)**: With similar limited numbers, the Z4 highlights BMW's exclusivity among only 828 units. - **Dodge Viper (Final Gen)**: The Z4's scarcity outpaces this iconic American sports car's approximately 2,000 units, making it a prized addition for collectors and enthusiasts.
Don't forget the bumper and fog light tweaks on the facelift. And then, sound deadening in the doors! Aside from the engine change on the facelift. Hope this helps. I've loved my Z4C for three years now. Hopefully a future classic I can hand down to friends.
Don’t know how I missed these Z4 Coupes when they were being produced around 2002 - 2008. Must have been into the whole Impreza Sti thing... But now I just love the looks, inside & out & the sound of them. Rarity factor in their favour too. I’m never driven one but driven more modern Z4 & 1M so would most probably love it. In fact I’ve got that aching feeling whenever I see a vid like this one, you must know the feeling, right? Start looking at ads, gather every piece of info you can, start the money calculations... 😰 help! Thanks for the vid Joel & your buddy, would be great to see some more on these Coupés (é 😆)
Very very interesting video. Shame you couldn't do a more in depth video of the 3.0si maybe another video for the future. Really interesting when you discussed about the difference in power between 3.0 Vs 3.0si Vs 2.5 You need to review 2.5si also More in depth review of 3.0si should get you 10k subscribers. Is it worth buying a z4m over a 3.0si????
@imi hussain it depends on a lot of factors Z4M and 30si, if you are a highly skilled driver and you intend to do a lot of track day then the Z4M coupe is your preferred choice. However for everyday driving, including running cost, drivability and performance then the 30Si will be ok, outright performance is the M version.
I actually prefer roadster over the coupe. For me roadster offers that little extra excitement when driving top down and feeling more connected to the environment and road. Both are great cars but roadster has my vote if I need to choose.
Please Joel help me...I have Z4 E85 2000cc. Is it normally the differential to be a little noisy? Without music, and the windows closed it sounds a little..... But i thing it s no harm but normally.... Sorry for my English im from Greece...
Got a Black on Black Z4 coupe 3.0si manual in Aus for AU$21k with 120k on the odo in 2018. Put a LSD diff on it and a set of Michelin PS4 all round. It drives like a dream, It did make me loose my licence for 3 months though.. Its like the car beggs you to spank it! Looking to pus a set of KW V3's on it and call it a day but after watching this vido ive realised that i need to do the same exhaust mod! Can you please give us more details on your mod please mate?
Having own both cars I will be fair to say the the 3.0Si is noticeably faster albeit by a small margin. The engine in the coupe is very light when compared to the roadster that appeared a bit nose heavy from the old M54 engine block, the then new N52 was made of magnesium and aluminium making it very light. Nice content Joel?m James, I have a silver Z4C and would like to know where you purchased the (18/19 inches )CSL wheels, what suspension mods have you done and location of where you did the exhaust/ what is the exhaust modification called. My Z will benefit from such mods mainly the wheels and suspension modernisation. Thanks in advance.
CK ROY there 18” CSL reps which were on the car when I bought them. They are potentially Riva DTM but not sure. Suspension is KW V2 Tyres are Michelin PS4 Geometry is M3 CSL Exhaust done by someone on Z4 Fourm under the name of Machine Monkey. I can put you in contact with him if you like?
The M coupe I drove was modded quite heavily with almost 400bhp and recaro seats and harnesses. But the coupe definitely feels almost as hard. The main difference with the M is that engine!
Also, quick tip when comparing insurance quotes, try a different start date for your policy, I’ve seen price differences of £500 between just a few days🤣

I bought mine from WA for 21k in 2018 after about 8 months of searching. Same spec, black on black with 120k on the odo. I bought it sight un-seen on the day the ad went up on car sales. Had it sent to me in here VIC spent about 2k on it to get it to pretty much imac condition. They're solid cars, and love to be reved. Keep searching and buy the first Z4 3.0si manual one you see advertised under 25k and you wont be disappointed!

It's pronounced coupe

Absolutely loving the car.

I have to be honest, that generation definitely looks better as a coupe - good video Joel!
Picking one up next weekend, im very pumped :D

Love the coupe especially with the red seats, a lot more expensive than the convertible unfortunately.
The coupe is a game changer
Fascinating revelation about insurance guys, well done, im off to search for things with a big V8 now!!!
If you want more interior engine sounds, take out the two foam plugs from the tubes in the engine bay. The tubes transmit sound to the interior.
Yey finally a review on my car! Pretty sure this is the only z4 coupe review on UA-cam! 😄
Definitely not many of them!
I have a coupe too. There are many reviews on UA-cam.

Oh and the coupe has 245 litres boot space as opposed to the 200 litres of the roadster. 🤓 I prefer to call it a GT than a coupe. Like the old MG Bs.
Love the 3.0si coupé !
Got to love a silver grey si Coupe. Might be slightly biased though 🤔
Always quality content from Joel👍🏻

What specs, age and extras, colour, interior would you recommend for someone looking to get one of these?

About $10,000USD in the Uk
Modded backbox ftw!
One of my favourite all-time cars my dream is to have a coupe and a roadster in a garage in the wilderness somewhere
