Got to be my next car, absolutely love them. They don't need stamps in a book, just regular oil changes and consumables replacing. BMW na straight sixes run like a new engine even at 170k with preventative maintenance. They just look great and go really well and sound great.Great video😂😂😂
I concur with Ben on bricks and mortar, having bought two London properties in 2018 I had no cash to splurge on cars. I started to research for the best sports car for my small budget £6200 then I realised the fun I had in my 04 BMW Z4 roadster, the coupe came to my mind then I bought it. The coupe has meet my weekends blast and has steadily gained value not that it matters. The Z4 coupe is the best value sports car but that is gradually changing as the prices are going North. Nice content lads!
Hi Joel, tell Ben to check the Oil cap for leaks too. The rubber in mine was so brittle and it was leaking from there alongside the valvetronic and the eccentric shaft gaskets. All three are around 15 quid each.
Yeah that was true on mine, I too thought it was the valvetronic unit. Very fortunately, it was not. In fact I am not even certain it was the oil cap (but cheap to change so why not), it could have been the previous owner spilling oil when adding new oil in.
@@maxbradley9534 the valvetronic is 3 screws and you don't need to take the head off and the eccentric shaft is 5 unplugging a sensor and using a screw driver to get the old bit of plastic out and pushing a new bit in. Not to hard if you have to do it. It's so nice not having burning smoke wafting into the cabin 😂
Good choice on the wheels, think they really suit it. Can't agree on the coilovers, you get what you pay for with suspension. A super firm ride is slower and less enjoyable down our lovely smooth roads....
@@lukefinch6880 yes but over small bumps it jumps and can lose contact with the ground. Also if the travel is shorter it can also loose contact if the gap in the road is high. Stiff suspension works better on smooth roads(usually racetracks). Other advantages of stiff suspension: less roll, you can lower the ride height and thus better downforce (not the case with these coilovers) The z4 racecar has probably coils twice as stiff and a ride height of a few cm.
@@lukefinch6880 that isn't true at all, too firm suspension causes the tyre to loose contact with the road. No tyre contact = no grip. Even F1 cars that operate on smooth tracks have some compliance for weight transfer and riding over curbs etc.
@@rotorblade9508 i said almost always. Sure if your driving on a super bad road then it is better to have softer suspension. But The comment said smooth roads.
Is Ben sure it has been de-catted? The N52 motor is only fitted with cats attached to the manifold sections and a mid box fitted where you would find secondary cats on an M54 engined Z4
Z4 coupe sooo sexy 🔥 although we had the 3.0litre roadster Id say the Coupé is a little bit more sexyyy but in my home country never have seen it its sooo rare here 😢😢
Squeaky seat could be due to the backrest put all the way back and rubbing on rear console. Nice car. Have the exact same car with 19 inch M3 CSL wheels on. More videos please.
I’ve got one of these and would love to see it compares to the e85 3.0i? 👍🏻. I dyno’d mine and it was only kicking out 235bhp at the crank because of faulty DISA valves and CCV, all fixed now. Great vids keep em coming!
Duck tail spoiler and front and rear splitters always look good on an e86. Front strut bar to sharpen the front end. It’s a shame it isn’t easier to get more power out of these though, unless you want to spend ~5k on a supercharger; and I’m not sure I’d be brave enough on a high mileage example.
I like the humour guys and a Z is just the future as BMW would say....personally I would like to see you turn the future car back to stock Ben then modify tastefully with OEM components preferably where you can achieve real improvements. Your rims do look great..some 4s boots would be a good start, then some intake flowing to a beautiful exit sound...
I wish they made a coupe for the prefacelift e85! The taillights of the E85 are so much more unique in my opinion. Edit: your boy looks like Chris Hemsworth!
Haha... the voice-over bit was just magical! 😆
Ben has made a sensible choice. Fingers crossed the coupe is reliable 🤞 Another 👍🏻s up from me
Great looking cars. I’ve always liked the look of these
It would look good parked next to the Bentley and Mercedes 🤣
@@nickmatthews4939 haha yes
Definitely need one someday

Me too. Then selling my 335i n54 and adding a C6 vette
I'm not a brummie you bell! 🤣🤣🤣
yam yam then?
Yeah yeah whatever you say
I'm massively against innuendos however I do slip one in now and again.
I see what you did there 🤣
Outstanding!!! You 2 guys need to be on as a regular duo. Highly entertaining 🤣🤣🤣

Great content again Joel, stay safe👍
Aha thanks buddy

I get what your saying but firmer suspensions is always almost faster. Less body roll and better contact to the road

I got a 2007 BMW Z4 and it has some issues but that coupe looks sick 🔥👌🏼
The gasket is easy do, also check the eccentric shaft sensor gasket. It can be replaced without removing anything

So Ben got there in the end!
I've had Z4 Coupes for over 6 years - they are great! (And my latest has red leather)!
Aye you two where my inspiration to start my own channel
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Brilliant! Love the voice over 🤣
You guys need your own channel..together!
Is there any difference in performance between the 2? Which is quickest?
People seems to rave about the M-Sport steering wheel but, like Harry Metcalf, i think the thinner SE wheel is better.
DRAG RACE THEM!
Ben, have you got a link to your advert for the m3? Cheers.
Great looking cars. Would love one but they still hold a fair price for a decent one
Yeah they’re pretty expensive at the moment!
Dang what wheels are those they are awesome!
Over 170k on the clock? Brave man. Nice looking car though.

100% pre facelift rear lights are much better, don't know what they were thinking with the newer ones.
The voice over 😂😂😂
Waiting for the day you do a Nurburgring meet and greet 🤙🏼 my factory turbo against your M2, up for the challenge?!
Let’s do it
Hey Joel, did you ever download any pro shots from racetraker.de of your ring laps?
Yes sir, posted a load of them on my Instagram!
What coilovers would y'all put on an e85 roadster?
BC’s
Come see my tips lad
And dyno

And with that said....thanks for tuning in mate.
