Very helpful although my fan and motor ended up being totally different, half of this was applicable and still taught me everything I needed to know to be able to figure out the rest on my own
Oh wow, That's the best instruction video I have seen on this repair and right on time. Thanks! Subscribed! Really appreciate how you explain everything in detail and great video production too.
Very nice video and clear explanation. Thank you. I don’t have all of those tools but will give it a go without. I took off the back panel to access the blower, much easier but not sure how to put it back in place.
I'm glad you found the video helpful. I know this won't help with your current panel situation, but in the future, before and during the work take a picture (or video) of how things are a assembled and disassembled. Then when it comes time to put them together you have a precise reference. I use that trick all the time and it's never failed me. Good luck!
Thank you so much for the video! Our blower was making a terrible noises before I used your video to clean and grease. I do have a question? The fans themselves seem a little tighter to spin when I do it with my hand. Should the fan blades spin super fast with a hand spin or better tighter and only spin about 4-5 seconds?
You want it to spin as freely as possible when doing it by hand. But this can depend on whether the cage fan blades have bearings, or if it is just the grease on the end shaft to reduce friction. (as is the one in the video) If it doesn't have bearing, and relies solely on the grease, expect it to spin for less time when spun by hand. I hope that's helpful, thanks for watching!
Thank you for the video. My fan is the same exact model and from the beginning it's made a notice when it's turned on. Sounds like metal on metal. I've take it out and reassembled but the noise remains. So I've never really used the fan and have thought of buying a replacement.
The part he said no grease is because the rubber grommet on the fan blades slides and fan is touching metal before the motor side. From factory the fan could be sliding back to far. Use screw driver. Slide fan away from the side motor is on. You should be golden

How did you get to the blower
You may have to move a few things out of your way. I had to unplug and remove the fan rheostat.
dont put grease on oilite bearings
