I've never seen anyone react to my work like this before, and it was really fulfilling seeing how you connected with the characters and stories the way I always hoped. Thanks for the video man I showed this to my mom that could care less about comic books but a complete introduction to the FF got her interested enough to care. So thanks man and all the best to you man😎👉
I should clarify, saying Reed "doesn't believe in magic" is a bit of a misnomer. It's more in the way you believe in a person than an idea. Magic has been proved to exist very early in Reed's career. However, his area of expertise lies in science. A more accurate way to state it would be "Reed believes science can be a greater force than magic, and the best way to achieve what he wants."
This is why the MCU kinda always felt like something was missing. The Fantastic Four were the first family, the revitalization of comicbook superheroes, and the glue of the Marvel universe. Without the FF (and ofc the X-Men but people realize how essential the X-Men are) the Marvel universe ceases to be how it should, because the FF are the example the other heroes need to look up to
The thing about Jack and Stan was Stan was more than happy to sort of be Marvel's mascot. Taking TV appearances and interviews where he talked about his creation of the Marvel U. Jack was more reserved and didn't like the media attention, so he didn't mind taking a backseat. It was feeling like Stan was taking credit for a lot of his own work as he was also deep into not just the art but storytelling and thought Stan wasn't doing much to let people know he was just as involved. He left Marvel for a time and joined DC, where he created the Fourth World comics and Darkseid! He'd go back to Marvel briefly to write his own Captain America series, but he and Stan didn't patch things up until much later in life.
The FF4 are corny but that’s the charm of the characters. They’re literally just a regular family with powers and are super rich and famous. I freaking love the fantastic four and Sue and Reed are some mega freaks 😭😭😭😭
The narrator speaks the truth without the fantastic four there is no marvel the mcu needs too add them and to top it off do doctor doom right i dont like seeing his character miss represented or butchered someone at marvel please do these character's justice
Keep in mind as well, during Secret Wars 2015, Marvel started to push aside the X-Men and get rid of the Fantastic Four because Fox owned the film rights to them. So whether he intended it on not, Johnathan Hickman’s Secret Wars 2015 is an “f u” to Marvel for wanting to get rid of their First Family and reminding the audience why they’re the most important team in the entire Marvel Universe. Secret Wars 2015 being a secret (😏) Fantastic Four event (because it was following up his Avengers runs that he did after Fantastic Four) is the greatest move ever played
The Fantastic Four are perhaps my favourite superhero team. They were the team that saved Marvel Comics Editorial from bankruptcy in 1961 and frankly saved Marvel Comics to an extent. If anything the Fantastic Four are one of the most quintessential superhero teams in comics. They were more than just a superhero team, they're a loving family, explorers, friends and people who loved one other and wanted to help the world. I truly love the Fantastic Four this video by B-Mask is truly fantastic (pun intended) and even taught me things about the F4 I never knew about that made me appreciate them more. The FF are the most team in comic history. It's very frustrating to hear people bash them and it's a sure way to show your ignorance of, not only the books themselves, but the history of comics. I just wish someone could manage to adapt them successfully. It certainly hasn't happened yet, with the possible exception of that one low budget movie in the 70s, though that's a complicated story in and of itself.
1 cool thing about Reed Richards is that he's not only canonically autistic, but receives the same stereotyping autistic people experience without any of the people saying it knowing he's supposed to be on the spectrum. People say things like "He has no emotions" or "doesn't care about people" and that he's "arrogant" or "unsympathetic". It's really funny to me because I'm on the spectrum too and have gotten the same crap for the same reasons. Since he's always thinking about things logically he doesn't always understand how everyone else sees an issue. Despite this, he loves people and tries to use his 1 thing (his big brain) to help them in any way he can. Sometimes the result is letting Johnny step out on his own and make more Sue-less decisions, other times he shoots his son with a coma-gun. Results vary, but his intension is always to do the right thing for everyone. Also, one time he was trapped in Doom's armour and not being able to touch his family caused him to essentially create the Matrix and declare war on the world. He cares. Almost too much. He just expresses it differently.
It’s just so weird that they catch all the flack for it. No other Silver age characters receive nearly the same scrutiny when the F4 and Supes have advanced just as much as any other superhero. I can’t help but think that their more sincere and wacky science fiction elements didn’t jive with the growing edgy comic reading culture of the 80s and 90s.
@@hasthehighground8560 that’s exactly what it was. 1:26:00 I love that you don’t think they are vanilla anymore, they are the backbone of the Marvel universe, however I will say that writers who don’t get them absolutely make them vanilla, I think it takes a special kind of imagination to capture the greatness of the FF.
My brother's favorite Marvel hero is Daredevil & his favorite Marvel team is The Fantastic Four. His favorite DC hero is Superman & his favorite DC team is The Teen Titans. My favorite Marvel hero is Spider-Man & my favorite Marvel team is The X-Men. My favorite DC hero is Swamp Thing & my favorite DC team is The Suicide Squad.
Fantastic Four are to me the best Marvel superhero team and some of their stories are some of the best in comics. With my favorite being Walter Simonson's run (Walter Simonson also a run in the 1980s for Thor which is highly acclaimed also that the Thor movies pulled a lot from) from the late 1980s to the early 1990s which is also the first appearance of the TVA (Loki tv series and soon to be the Deadpool and Wolverine movie). They don't mention the Simonson run in video.
Man, I was exactly like you. Always grew up thinking that the FF were just okay and didn't think much about them. But I saw the video and it completely changed my perspective. Doom is my favorite comic villain and I adore the FF now. And I'm so happy that he managed to change your mind just like it did for me and hundreds of others. B-Mask is currently working on another big project like this video on the Thunderbolts in Marvel. Would also highly recommend his other videos as well.
What I love about this video is that not only does it show why I love the Fantastic Four, but it shows, better than anything else why I love comics as a medium. The fun and out there storylines, the amazing art, the subversive/wacky variations in storytelling, the shifts from different writers and artists doing their own takes on different characters. There is so much amazing stuff there that can keep you entertained for a lifetime that most people just don't see or are aware of if they only watch the movies or the shows. But the great thing is that, right now is probably the best time there's ever been to get into comics. With stuff like Marvel Unlimited it's actually pretty affordable, a lot of the characters are just enough in the mainstream so that a lot of it is still pretty accessible, if you're lost or don't recognize certain characters/plotlines it's easier than ever to just look it up etc. People like me, who got into comics 20-30 years ago didn't have that luxury. We couldn't just look stuff up if we didn't get something, or recognize a bunch of characters from the mainstream. We just had to go with the flow and it was a pain in the ass. Even if a current run, like Spider-Man, sucks, and it does, there is still decades upon decades and hundreds, if not thousands of older issues to go through and fall in love with for the first time. So in some ways, maybe the FF never getting a good adaptation is both a curse and a blessing. It means that if you want to see the best the FF have to offer, you have to pick up the comics. There is no movie or show to really recommend like with other characters.
So story about me. Other than Saturday morning cartoons, My introduction to Comics was the public library. And they only bought the most popular comic book story's in Trade Paperbacks. So the massive Marvel *Civil War* Crossover event, and Hickman's *Fantastic Four* Epic run were some of my first comics. 😆
This is one of the greatest videos I’ve ever seen. The editing, sound, and voice acting is just fantastic. It got me reading Fantastic Four comics and made me excited to see them in the MCU.
I like how you pause and give your thoughts on statements instead of talking over the video barely watching it. Mad respect. And keep up the good work.
Both Marvel and DC have done zombie stories. Where the entire universe gets infected and it goes crazy when the super powerful hero and villains get infected. If you look up Marvel Zombies and DCeased you’ll find the stories. Multiple people have done the stores. I’d recommend the Comicstorian version because he did them as they came out and also has a complete collection version. They’re super worth a watch Since you like Damian so much you’ll probably love DCeased. He has some good moments in it
34:59 He is My favorite character in Marvel Comics. Luke Cage, AKA Power Man, the man with Unbreakable Skin and super strength. Hero for Hire. Husband to Jessica Jones Private Investigator (retired superhero Jewel, flight and super strength). Best friends with The Iron Fist. In an alternate future, his daughter becomes Captain America, so she has the unbreakable shield plus her dad's unbreakable skin plus her mom's flight. In the "Noir" universe he doesn't even have powers. He just got lucky and survived a gunshot. So the rumor got spread that he was bulletproof. So his superpower is "Bluffing" anytime somebody points a gun at him. He just bluffs that he's bulletproof and that they're wasting their time. "The bullet will just bounce off me and kill you"
I will once again strongly sing the praises of 2015 Secret Wars and just how good of story it was for both Reed and Doom character wise. So im gonna reccomend you check out that full story again, cause my god it slaps.

Maybe for pride month you could watch Matt Baume’s video on Kevin Conroy and his experience as a gay man in the acting industry and how his role as batman affected him? Its not exactly featuring any crazy super hero antics or whatever, but its still really interesting.
I enjoyed that movie when it came out, but it really didn’t stand out as a well developed movie with characters to remember I’m a long time fantastic for a fan. I remember picking the comics out in the news stand in like 1968. Definitely need a good FF movie
I grew up watching the Fantastic 4 movies with Jessica Alba, so I found them fun, but now I can see they were a bit bland. I never read their comics, just saw them in the background of other stories, so this video was a cool look into their depth. Clearly I only had a basic understanding of what they are about
There is one thing that I would say is a plus to the old Nicktoons channel on TV. It introduced me to the Fantastic Four cartoon show and it's still one of their best representations in TV ever.
I want to touch on the movie bit. It came out during my least favorite incarnation of the Fantastic Four...the book was titled the Ultimate Fantastic Four. Marvel attempted to recreate the FF. Recreate the entire Marvel Universe...into the Ultimate Universe. They did it to the Fantastic Four, The X-Men, The Avengers, Spider-Man....everyone. So they used that series as the basis for the movie. In that Universe, the FF had a personality change....EVERYONE was different, and it didn't work. The Ultimate Universe eventually was phased out and the original heroes returned to the "normal" Marvel Universe. My thoughts on the movies were they WERE good, for an Ultimate Fantastic Four film. They just were using bad source material, so the stories and characters...just didn't have the charm of the originals. The MCU is developing a new movie for the FF...hopefully this time they get it right. If you ever do start reading comics...the FF books are fun. Read Marvel-Two-In-One comics...that mostly starred The Thing and teamed him up with other Marvel Characters. One of my favorite memories of that comic is from an Annual in the 80's...The Thing And The Avengers. The poker scene is worth the price of admission/ 'Nuff Said!
2:23 I have loved this video ever since it released, But this part has always made me laugh because to me it sounds like he's being sarcastic. "Right Ben, Right" (What a loser I'm going to use these powers to get Rich!)
I don't know if it's worth a reaction video. If not, definitely watch this in your free time. "Superman - The Golden Age of Animation" By kaptainkristian And he did a Batman video as well. And a bunch of other things that are probably interesting to you. He only has a handful of videos.
1:30 Growing up a fan of the Fantastic Four i was always confused by "Cosmic Rays", where were they on the electromagnetic spectrum? I always assumed they were made up, and they were more powerful than the gamma section of the spectrum. Turns out they are real but the name comes from a mistake in early scientific discoveries. Cosmic Rays are not actually a type of Ray (Not part of the electromagnetic spectrum) they are a type of particle.
I kinda disagree about the casting on the one of the modern FF movies (with Jessica Alba and Chris Evans). I agree that it is not good in terms of plot or characterisation of Doom, but in term of FF themelves - it's good. Reed feels guilty for ruining lives, especially Ben's and throughut the movie tries to fix it. Ben depsite hating what he have become, i still a goofball with a short fuse due to where he was raised, Johnny is still that one guy that takes tries to enjoy fruits of popularity as much as possible and of cource he bickers with the rest of the team, but he still cares about them. But Sue... honestly, I remember nothing about Alba's Sue besides her constant bitching. Alba's Sue wasn't a strong woman that raised a rebellious teen alone, thus becoming a mother figure. All she did in the movie is reminiscing why Reed was a horrible boyfriend and why she hooked up with Doom, et somehow they patch things up and she ditches Doom for Reed. Again, the movie IS bad in writing, some characterisations and some casting choises. But Reed, Johnny, Ben are iconic depictions of them to me, I like the suits, I like the feeling of the family they slowly grow, especially constant bickering betwee Johnny and Ben. Second film, where that scene where Reed lists all his accomplishments (the ones with "I'm the genius, engaged with hottest woman on Earth.... etc) IS dumb and not Reed at all. I generally dislike the Second movie as it gave me no same feeling of the family that was in the FIrst one. Now, considering you now have knowledge of the characters and what they represent, yet you only remmeber the mvie with Alba, I think it would be good if you rewatched it and reformed your own meaning of it. Because I will always disagree about people's meaning of 2005 FF movie, yet will agree for the rest of them.
Fantastic video I watched it again today on the way back from an interstate work trip to pass the time Btw I recommend you react to some of my stuff if you like comic dubs I get together a cast of pro voice actors and actress and sob entire comicbook stories Making them into almost comic dub movies with sound design I recon you’d like it 🤙
How has no one recommended superman content yet? You gotta at least check out the full kingdom come storyline I believe comicstorian has done a video on it.
@@blaze3309I wish you had. To get the full picture and be invested in the characters and the overarching story, watching them in release order is the best way to go about it.

On Sue’s costumes.
Yeah….90’s costume designs were pretty wild.
Greatest team ever. So many dynamic runs of high quality.
This is one of the greatest videos I’ve ever seen. The editing, sound, and voice acting is just fantastic. It got me reading Fantastic Four comics and made me excited to see them in the MCU.
this duxe also did a vid on sam and max the devils playhouse, its a great vid about a classic point and click adventure series
I like how you pause and give your thoughts on statements instead of talking over the video barely watching it. Mad respect. And keep up the good work.
YES!!! I recommended this! This may be my favorite video essay on UA-cam.
They’re super worth a watch
Since you like Damian so much you’ll probably love DCeased. He has some good moments in it

He is My favorite character in Marvel Comics.
So cool to see someone go from not really knowing the Fantastic Four to loving them. I love B Mask and the FF and his video on them is amazing.
Black Bolt is the leader of the Inhumans
3:50 I saw the 2015 one in the theater and left it feeling completely empty.
1:56:46 TBH The Guardians of the Galaxy are lot different I think it’s More like Fairy Tail in Space and that was before Edens Zero came around but I believe The Best The Fantastic Four Movie is and No It’s Not The Incredibles A Friend of Mine and I don’t believe they Count but The Best Fantastic Four is The Anime Movie that is Produced by Trigger The Same People who worked on Gurren Lagann,Kill la Kill,Ninja Slayer,Little Witch Academia,SSSS.Gridman and Recently BNA That The Best Fantastic Four is The Anime Movie of 2019 is Promare! That is The Absolutely Best Fantastic Four Movie!
More people should react to this video. It’s close to a masterpiece.
Oh snap it's Marvel's first families turn 😁🔥🔥🔥🎉🎊🥳.
1:52 you said you saw the 2004 fantastic 4 movie. That movie told you that their siblings.
34:59 Luke Cage aka power man.
35:52 he's not part of the inhumans he's the king.
37:37 yup and they were a power couple as well
Fantastic Four deserves respect, they kick-started Marvel. They were Marvel's first and greatest heroes.
Thank you
It is comical to think how powerful the Fantastic Four are.
Can't wait to see you reacting to X-Men stuff.
What happened to your X-Men video I can't find it
You should check out Insane History of Carnage by Lumi's Web.
😅Hahaha the weave part tho Daberhashery
I grew up watching the Fantastic 4 movies with Jessica Alba, so I found them fun, but now I can see they were a bit bland. I never read their comics, just saw them in the background of other stories, so this video was a cool look into their depth. Clearly I only had a basic understanding of what they are about
There is one thing that I would say is a plus to the old Nicktoons channel on TV. It introduced me to the Fantastic Four cartoon show and it's still one of their best representations in TV ever.
B-mask might like this.
Dr. Doom is a great villain but my favorite Marvel villain is Sabertooth. My favorite DC villain is Reverse-Flash.
might s well do thee with like every prominent superhero lol
B-Mask's video should be required reading for anyone making a Fantastic Four movie.
All so your name is so hard to find I look up blaze and get so many other things
amazing reaction to an even more amazing UA-camr, you, my friend are gentlemen and a scholar
Doom getting a dedicated section as opposed to every other FF foe even including the GALACTUS, just proves how groundbreaking he is lol.

I have loved this video ever since it released, But this part has always made me laugh because to me it sounds like he's being sarcastic.
"Right Ben, Right"
(What a loser I'm going to use these powers to get Rich!)
Would love to see you react to B-Mask's other work. Is one of my favorite creators on the site.
I also recommend BMask’s Sly Cooper retrospective!
You should check Illuminati and Secret Wars, they're really good ngl
Here hoping that the next FF movie hits the mark
This video is so good it made me a dan of the fantastic 4. Honestly. Maybe I should comment that on the original.
I don't know if it's worth a reaction video. If not, definitely watch this in your free time.
"Superman - The Golden Age of Animation"

And he did a Batman video as well.
And a bunch of other things that are probably interesting to you. He only has a handful of videos.
13:15 did i just hear... Kamen Rider?
If you wanna research some of the mistakes Reed (Mr Fantastic) made, you can look up Planet Hulk and World war Hulk

Growing up a fan of the Fantastic Four i was always confused by "Cosmic Rays", where were they on the electromagnetic spectrum? I always assumed they were made up, and they were more powerful than the gamma section of the spectrum.
Turns out they are real but the name comes from a mistake in early scientific discoveries. Cosmic Rays are not actually a type of Ray (Not part of the electromagnetic spectrum) they are a type of particle.
F4 did one piece for the west if not dragon ball.
You should watch a video on Doctor doom!!! He’s one of the greatest villains for VERY good reason
Please react to Insane Lore of Tekken and Street Fighter videos by ClementJ64.
Because I will always disagree about people's meaning of 2005 FF movie, yet will agree for the rest of them.
i love the 2 early 2000 FF movies, but i hate the 2015 reboot that movie needs every copy of it thrown into a black hole to never be seen again
Someone gotta drop a X-Men vid
Fantastic video
I watched it again today on the way back from an interstate work trip to pass the time
Btw I recommend you react to some of my stuff if you like comic dubs
I get together a cast of pro voice actors and actress and sob entire comicbook stories
Making them into almost comic dub movies with sound design
I recon you’d like it 🤙

Have you watched the MCU movies and shows in release order?
No
@@blaze3309I wish you had. To get the full picture and be invested in the characters and the overarching story, watching them in release order is the best way to go about it.
Can I suggest you to watch video about Secret Wars and Gwenpool?
PLEASE REACT TO THE REDEMPTION OF THE ULTIMATE X- MEN MADE BY ALEX! It's his latest video and it's a real banger
3:25 Sue looks like a possessed Barbie doll, Reed looks like Ken's dad, Ben has an accurate design for a guy called The Thing, and Johnny looks like he's covered in orange fur.
👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
You should react to wonder woman animated film (2009) It's great
You should check out marvel zombies in the future
Waiting for man of steel
Hey you should check out dead pool kills the marvel universe
The Avengers have always sucked. I might actually start looking forward to these movies when we can move past Marvel's D listers.
DC is better when you tank about comics...
All ima say is whoever made this video seems to have not watched the live action movies or the animated series….. cause those are GOATED and nothing will change my mind (minus Fan4stic that deserves all the hate it gets)
