...at the 2:18 mark the video went from turning the gimbal off, to all the sudden it looks like its back on and balanced on its own and you say to mount the camera. Pretty important step you missed...

Hello, does the RS3 support the BMPCC 4K? It weights way less than 3Kg but is not listed in the compatibility list. It's listed on the RSC2 compatibility list which is a little bit confusing.

Hello, I just bought one, but I'm concerned that when I put it in supersmooth mode, I can hear the motors and feel the motor vibrations. Even though it's properly calibrated. I use a Canon 80D and a Sigma 35mm Art lens. Together, they weigh less than 2 kilograms. Should I perform some tests or do you think I should take it for warranty service?

yes but not too much but you don't want it to over created that problem
Hello, who has problems with first activation? I've done everything up to 01:36, insert the battery grip into the gimbal, lock the battery grip, press and hold the power button to power and nothing happens...(( I don't understand what I did wrong
the tilt axis slide is nearly impossible to balance because it's too stiff. I have to completely unscrew the knob in order to be able to adjust the camera and even then i have to use all my force to be able to get it to budge. All the other axis slides adjust perfectly smooth but the tilt in particular takes me around 20 minutes to balance because of how stiff it is.
I had the exact same problem. I thought i was going insane with how difficult it was to move. took me prob longer to adjust it correctly. so annoying.
@@irwinlitvak4568 I’ve actually gotten used to it kind of now. It kind of loosened up over time making it slightly easier but essentially you kind of have to angle it and like move it around in a weird way but you get used to it.
@@OutxfOrder That makes sense, just annoying at first since I was following along with like 3 youtube videos and everyone else did it with ease and im over here struggling lol. But im happy to hear it gets easier over time. thanks!
It screws! Unscrew and screw the level moves like a screw don’t pull it just twist it!
I struggled for 30 minutes because o kept pulling it then twisting to keep in unlock position, then figured out it’s a screw as well
Hello guys ! Can someone please help me? I’m new to gimbals and I recently bought the RS 3. I unknowingly tried switching on the gimbal a couple of times without mounting the camera, and it made some weird noise and vibration, then went into sleep mode. Did it cause any damage to my gimbal? I am worried 😢
Where’s a firmware update coming for this? It’s still a tiny bit lumpy at times when turning left or right by twisting the grip in pan follow mode.
maybe you should change your follow speed settings
If one adds a filter in front of the lens does one need to rebalance all axis?
you should always rebalance if you add anything to your setup. but usually the motors can handle a small change like adding a filter without any problems.

The tilt axis doesn’t move at all….
the lock just turns on itself without unlocking the axis… this lock gets in three positions… there is no documentation about this anywhere…

Hello, there. Sorry for the inconvenience. May we know if you are unable to manually toggle the gimbal’s tilt lock lever after mounting a camera onto the gimbal? If so, when powering on/powering off the gimbal, it is recommended to lift the tilt axis while holding the camera mounting plate, and then toggle the tilt lock lever to avoid stress on the lock as much as possible.
About the automated axis locks, when the gimbal is powered off, press and hold the power button, and the three axes unlock and expand automatically for use within just a few seconds. Press and hold the power button again to lock the axes and power off the gimbal. During use, press the power button once, and the axes automatically lock and enter sleep mode. Press once again to unlock and wake.

Hi there, sorry for any inconvenience caused. Just to double confirm, you are encountering the issue that the roll axis cannot remain still at any angle after balancing, right?
If this is the exact case, this is because the roll motor uses a non-orthogonal design, and the pan motor and tilt motor use an orthogonal design. Given more complex force direction, the roll axis is more likely to be affected by the camera’s weight and center of gravity. If their combined effect is greater than the damping of the brushless motor, the roll motor will recenter after it is tilted, when you release your grip.
You can confirm whether the gimbal is balanced by one of the corresponding methods:
1) Tilt the roll axis arm to the left and right (approx. 45°), and it can remain still at any angle after you release your grip.
2) Tilt the roll axis arm to the left and right (approx. 45°), and it can fall back to the horizontal position after you release your grip.
If any one of the above effects can be reached, the gimbal is deemed balanced and it can be used normally.
You can also try to power on the gimbal and see if all is working.

Bloody hell it's like a speedrun do you know how to take a break and breathe release let us have a breather why the hell are you rushing the tutorial so much I'm a first time user on a gimbal ever I have to keep pausing the video going back just so I know exactly what you're talking about because you're rushing through it SLOW IT DOWN
I can't even get my camera to be in the steady in any of these position as the video is so fast and gives unclear visualisations of where some of these adjustments are. This is a 'First use' tutorial and hardly anyone will be that familiar with these functions to follow this without massive frustration and a headache. I had to go to another tutorial on YT to make it clear enough to understand.

Hi there, there are two ways to shoot videos in Portrait mode:
1. Set the gimbal to FPV mode, and set the follow mode on the touchscreen to the “Portrait”.
2. Employ the L-bracket plate or cage.

@@DJITutorials I also agree that video would be the most useful, learning how the customisations of each settings actually affect each mode too and when and how you’d select one for each scenario. I often wonder whether I’m in the best mode or speed of adjustment within the parameters within the mode itself. Hard to often spot it’s effect

Hi there, you can follow the steps below to activate the device:
1. Press and hold the power button to power on the gimbal.
2. Enable Bluetooth on your mobile device.
3. Launch the Ronin app and register or log in with your DJI account. Select DJI RS 3 on the device list, enter the default password: 12345678, and follow the on-screen instructions to activate DJI RS 3.
4. DJI RS 3 will enter sleep mode after successful activation. Press the power button once to exit sleep mode before use.

After upgrading the firmware, the gimbal is blocked. It asked me to activated before using and the app tell me anything and doesn't want to activate the gimbal.

Garbage. DJI wants to own something you already paid for. App expires and you are your own or else keep on paying DJI just like Apple. Get Zhiyun gimbal instead.
