We return to Innistrad to find our first look at the self proclaimed Lord of Innistrad, Sorin Markov, in SOI. A great threat has just declared war on his world, and he cannot face it alone. He seeks allies from those who have shunned him, while slowly revealing how these events occurred.

I feel for Sorin's Burden. He's got a planeswalker chasing him down like an angry teenager when he clearly didn't get their text message.

Sorin is easily one of the most flavoursome 'walkers. Neither entirely good nor entirely bad, he's refreshing contrast to the heroics of Gideon
Love these videos, they really help me catch up on lore when I don't have time to read the stories myself.
Love how "fatherly" Sorin can get towards Avacyn at times, makes the conclusion so much more painful
I've heard he treated nahri like a daughter. Guess he's lonely.

Sorin is my favorite planeswalker! I'm loving this new block and its lore. I feel like after Sorin and Nahiri met he told her to leave. Sorin was too weak to kill her, and locking her in the vault likely would have taken alot of energy too.

I love what you're doing, Seiben. This is really helping me get into the lore
I believe you're right about Sorin trapping Nahiri in the newly-created helvault. I also believe that Garruk is the one that is tainting the plain with Madness somehow. Nahiri might be summoning something big, but I doubt it's Emrakul. I also believe Nicol Bolas has a Hidden Hand in here somewhere and that he's pulling the strings behind this whole ordeal.
Nice channel. The lore has really improved in MTG lately. Glad to find your channel to help me keep up with it all.

Sorin is my Favorite Planeswalker just wish this new one ahd better art!!
She was the first one locked up in the helvault. Kind of makes the most perfect sense if you think about it. But the only issue I think would have to brought up is what happened to her after the helvault was destroyed? because following the flow of stories the stuff that happened on zendakar, the whole two titans being destroyed thing, has just recently happened. So do we know what has been going on with Nahiri before SOI?
actually I think in the lore, it's only been like one year between original Innistrad and BFZ
+SeibenMTG First thank you for commenting on this!!!!!! Next that is still a year or so with her being around. Nahiri could of been a massive aid to the battle for Zendikar. So where was she?
+Brett Salisbury I think she was just wreking havoc on Innistrad. Perhaps creating the Cryptoliths and changing the mana low of the world.

It's so much fun hearing this lore while looking at my cards, you notice the little things in the art and it's amazing. I've been building my black white (avacyn missionaries one of main cards) deck for a good while and this playing in the back adds some "flavour text". Great quality, keep up the awesome work!
These are great Seiben. Think I'll support you on patreon, and I'm digging MTG's story with SOI so far.. it's thankfully turning out more complex than expected.

This story and the lore for the block are fantastic! I've been waiting for the return to Innistrad ever since the first block. It was the set that got me back into Magic after a few years of not playing.
