I have listened to almost all your lore videos and this has to be one of your most ambitious but it was well worth it. I think you have made an excellent video it’s unbelievably enjoyable to learn the lore of one of my favorite planes and the first one that started me on the path to playing magic thank you for rekindling my love for magic lore.
I'm now afraid of you doing an epic 10 hour saga called "Dominaria: The Complete History". Heck, even a modest 2,5 hour "Ravnica: The Complete History" would be crazy.
One thing missed about Avacyn's creation: Sorin did this pre-mending. Its why he does not simply do so again, or one reason. he doesn't have the power to do so.
Not to mention if you read the stories, when nahiri shows up right around when he finishes creating avacyn, sorin is VERY depleted and weak to the point where he knows he CAN'T defeat her quick enough to preserve Avacyn so he has to trap her in the Helvault
@@Endarius_Termina He gave Nahiri 3 chances to give up, two when she was clearly outmatched. He could kill her or trap her. Nahiri saw that Sorin was not in his best shape and still tried to force him go.
@@remigiuszrutkowski9527 i’m shocked to see a response like this. I remember when the Pre-Mending Sorin & Nahiri story was published, *many* people were completely hate-posting about Sorin; completely disregarding the nuance of the scenario.
@@holyordersol2668 I thought the same thing when Wizards banned tripumph of ferocity for having “offensive art” because it depicted Garruk beating up Lilliana, even though she fucking won that fight
IMAGINE this story arc as a well funded, well casted and top notch production movie series!? I love this lore, the plane, the setting, the characters, art and all of it. Cannot wait to get my hands on the next set. Oh and excellent work from you!
Thanks for going back to older history that newer magic players (like myself) would have missed out on otherwise. The organization of the chapters was well done.
@@AetherHub You even mentioned some things that I even wasnt aware how deep the lore for Innistrad was! I only knew the basic story of the block through the story spotlight cards. I hope we learn more about Werewolves!!!!
The normal life of Innastrad: THERE ARE TWO TWINS MAKING HORDES OF UNDEAD, THE MOON IS UNLEASHING HORRORS, THE ANGELS ARE MAD, THE WEREWOLVES ARE RILED UP BY MIDNIGHT, AND THE VAMPIRES ARE PARTYING TOO WILDLY! NOW THE SKY IS RED ICHOR HORRORS RAIN FROM THE SKY AND WE ALL FIGHT TOGETHER!? GOD I LOVE INNASTRAD
Extremely pleased with this video. Reminds me of the old style of videos before the channel got rebranded. Scrolling moving backgrounds, great attention to detail, Your enthusiasm is coming through on this project. You can tell there was a lot of work put into this one. Great work.
This is by far one of the best video's you've ever made. I cannot imagine how much work went into this, so amazing job and big thanks for the effort. I would love to see more longer history overview videos (documentaries?) like this in the future. Keep up the good work!
Dude you did such an amazing job on this historical retelling of Innistrad . Thank you so much for your efforts to catch everyone up before the next Innistrad sets release .
Dude, that was awesome!!! I've been a long time watcher of the channel and have always thought your videos were stellar. I love this new longer format and cannot wait for another!! Maybe a history of mirodin/phyrexia next? Keep up the great work!!
Thank you so much for putting all this work into your videos, especially Innistrad. I had quit playing magic around the release of Mirage, and Innistrad, and then commander, is what brought me back into the game. Keep up the amazing work!
The Sorin vs Nahiri section should just be renamed "And another instance of Nahiri absolutely ruining everything over a childish grudge" Jokes aside, I've only just discovered your channel a few days ago and I'm loving it, long form lore videos are my favorite to listen to at work. I hope we get to see more of in the future!
Thank you, this is a great video! I didn't have the time to find and read through all the related stories of the plane, so this was a great summary. I also love how the artworks from the set were highlighted and animated. It almost felt like I was watching a movie. Good job :D
Love how this was presented, really shows how much effort and research you put into this!! Really hope you can do more like this about other planes and topics
I was waiting and wanting this to show up in my feed and it didn't! Wish I was here sooner, but I'm here now. Thank you for all your hard work dedication
This is only the second video I watched on your channel. Having been pulled in by the Vampire of Innistrad, leading to a subscription. Watched this one in its entirety after and your efforts are not lost on me. It was almost like watching a movie with deep lore and imagery! Really enjoyable.
Innistrad is my absolute favorite plane in MtG. All seven sets are my favorite MtG set. Honestly, I can't get enough of it. Wish they would have released those big art/lore books for the second and third Innistrad cycle, but, we can't have nice things.
Kinda late to the party, but dang dude this is amazing! The narration, animation, and being able to explain so much story in an easy to follow and entertaining manner is quite an accomplishment. Can’t wait for your next work, keep it up!
Hmm. Given the growing darkness on Innistrad (hopefully shown in Midnight Hunt), a “marriage” (in Crimson Vow) might make for a sort of solution, if only temporary. Years from now, maybe Emrakul will comeback during this Eternal Night, maybe with more of a snowy/wintery background to go in contrast with the upcoming sets Autumn tone.
This was epic! This was well paced, well written, and super useful as someone who only came into MTG around 2016, so missed most of the Innistrad content over the years.
With the new sets of Innistrad coming up I decided to look into the past. Amazingly detailled stuff here. Immediate sub. Good thing I have some days off because I feel like I am going to binge watch the absolute hell out of these video's hahaha.
I first started playing MTG in the transition from Oath of the Gatewatch to Shadows over Innistrad. Since then, Shadows Over Innistrad and Eldritch Moon have been some of my absolute favorite sets, as well as Sorin and Lilliana being some if my most favorite planeswalkers. I recently got back into MTG when I saw the new set was Innistrad: The Midnight Hunt and since then have been really obsessed with learning all I can about Innistrad and Sorin Markov. I immediately subbed to your channel after watching one video about Sorin and am looking forward to watching everything else you have on Sorin and Innistrad and the entirety of MTG. Your videos are awesome and extremely entertaining and knowledgeable. Keep up the awesome work!
Such a great Video, and thanks for the reminder of what happend on Innistrad before, can't wait to see if we meet Emrakul again if Innistrad is now ready or not
Very well done. Ive been following your channel for 6 years now and you've kept increasing the quality of story telling and videos to the point that we get this. Great job!
Can i give a superlike somehow? I like your lore videos, but this one is insane. Watching hour long videos is not my thing, but i love this plane and i love this video about it. Awesome, man!
I’m very curious about this, too, bc Shadows block left the story basically on “Sorin is trapped, & Emrakul is destroying Innistrad; enabled by Nahiri.”
Wow! The music, the narrative, the art and how you divided it in chapters. Everything’s perfect! You have a new subscriber! Having one of these for each plane would be asking for too much, but man, this was amazing! 😅
You did a great job with this video! I love the way you tell the story and the visuals that go along with it! I like getting inspo for decks around lore. I was on the fence about buying the new set but I absolutely love this plane! Thanks for making the story interesting and easy to listen to!
Very Well done, absolutely well put together. I’d love to see a remake of all the old videos with the new lore added since then and on all the old characters from the 13 nights of magic stuff as well
I missed the Inistrad set and was never too interested. Until your lore videos recounting the story of Jace and Ileana years back. It's possibly my favorite plane now and I'm not usually into this Halloween stuff as much, but the way they rethought the social order and magic with the Moon just gave it so much more depth. Super pumped to see a full retelling from the original source!
This was an awesome video to watch. It reminded me of how much I loved Innistrad's lore. With some of the Planes getting D&D Modules, I think this plane would make an amazing Campaign Setting. Using the last of the Eldrazi as a Great Old One was a great call.

I can’t sub twice. :(
Or I would.
Nahiri and Soren have epic, anime levels of beef. Literally world shattering, god manipulating conflicts. I love the scale of their fight.
It's just your average thanks giving dinner.
It's great that it comes from two extremely flawed characters too.
They got enough beef to run a mcdonalds
She's really mad she got left on read
More beef than you can get for $10 at a Taco Bell

Amazing, first got in around 2013 and tons of innistrad was still going around, it is by far my favorite set! Thank you so much for working on this

Innistrad may be my absolute favorite plane in both flavor and story.
You did a tremendous job telling its story. Amazing!!!!
Innistrad was my first plane when I was first introduced to magic the gathering during the Dark Ascension release
I'm watching this at (roughly) 11:00. PM. I love this video, but who needs sleep when you have animations like THAT!
One of my favorite stories in MTG. Innistrad. No doubt one of my top 3.
Working overnight with this playing as the perfect backdrop, an amazing video!
Innistard is co cool, Avacyn was my first legendary ... loved her so much 😭
this video was amazing, i've never gotten into the lore of magic the gathering but will now be binging your channel
I love Innistrad! My first ever deck was a werewolf tribal one!
Hell yea! Mine was to with a were wolf with soul bond that gave +4+4 with it and bonded creature. Was it good? Hell no, I was just getting started.
I started after oath of the gatewatch was released, and I bought an eldrazi tribal.
