Hey. Thanks for documenting all of this. I have a 2023 GR86 that I bought for my son. (He immediately proved that he would drive it the way I would have driven it when I was 16 so now it is my GR86 HA!) So it sits around at my office and I keep thinking "I am gonna track that thing!" So...I live in Dahlonega, Ga and I just joined AMP (Atlanta Motorsports Park) So now I am gonna track this thing next year! I saw you have been to Road Atlanta recently. If you ever get to AMP maybe I'll see you there. Looks like you are having a blast man. Keep living the dream.
Really best track mod video ever! If it were me, since you decided it is a track car, I would put in racing seats a roll bar and harnesses. Believe it or not, that will lower your lap times, and needless to say safer. 2:30 at Sebring is definitely fast enough to warrant full safety kit....
Hey! Great build. You have the exact spec Apex wheels I’m looking for but I can’t find that spec on Apex’s website. Where did you find your wheels? I love the brushed look
@@phelpsgarage4202 Yea, I just confirmed with them they are discontinuing the EC-7R and the ARC-8R. Do you mind if I ask why you wish you went with 18s vs 17s?
Hi, grwat video, I see people using 255 on 9J +44 wheel to have the clearance at the rear barely, so you are using the falcon 255 on a +40 wheel, no rubbing whatsoever?
I thought these cars were designed for track from the factory. I understand changing brake fluid and pads. Stock how bad is it? Also with stock suspension is there adjustment for camber?
I just got mine aligned for track with entirely stock suspension parts + crash bolts. The shop could only get just barely over a degree of negative front camber, and had no adjustment on the rear, which is like -1.5°. It still made a big difference in handling feel. I think my next step might be lowering springs which will also give me a little more natural camber
@@phelpsgarage4202 good to know, thanks! This is my first sports car and I just started track driving in June so I'm taking it pretty slow. I hope in a few years I'm running a car like yours

I haven’t been to AMP but plan too! Dahlonega has some good mountains road!! Thanks for watching!

Thank you!!! The car will get a cage soon. So far I’m at a 2:30.7 at Sebring
This is the content I am looking for!
Tell everyone 😂 thank you! I have more to come.
WOW beautiful setup man
Thank you!!
Cleanest track car I’ve seen
Thanks
looking forward too the track videos.
August 14 🤞🏻 I’m gonna pull the oil pan and make sure we don’t have any RTV
What alignment do you have? Thanks
Based on tire wear and temperature, it’s at -3 upfront and -2 in the rear

I don’t think they make them in that color anymore.. I love the color/ finish of the wheel but wish I did the 18 over 17s

@@W_TylerMann faster and they feel better on track IMO, but also cost more for tires
Sub 2:30 range at Sebring! Very ambitious! Should have bought a Porsche! 😂
At a 2:37 for now more to come 😅
Dude where do you put the Jack stands? I end up denting the double welds underneath whenever I put it on the marked spots
Same. I jack it up by the rear diff and front support.
@@phelpsgarage4202 yeah but the four jack stands? They dent your double welds too?
I have rubber protectors on my jack stands

At full lock it rubs a little up front but, rears is good at this height
Great to hear, thank you! Sub for more on the 86
I’m surprised you don’t have SS brake lines
Maybe once I go with a big brake kit… even though it’s not needed for the few laps I do in the time trials. But it sure is cool 😂
😂 allot the parts you have installed are not needed for them “time trials” hence the comment 👍🏼 but yes… sure is cool 😎
@@Shinigami_1320 most of them help 😂
Are you competing in time attack? Or will you be testing out the car on 8/14?
Just testing the with both stock tires and the RT615

You will need pads and fluid. No camber adjustment stock I believe. I just like to mod and buy speed lol

@@RDKelly12 you’ll need more negative camber or you’ll kill the outside of the tires.

22mm f and 16mm r
Are all these all Gen 1 aftermnarket parts?
Yes
upper control arm is not straight lol
Really?! It can only go in one way
Can i have all parts name ?
Suspension parts
Fortune auto
Whiteline
Spl parts
Exhaust
JDL
HKS
Brake
Hawk DTC-30
those are the ugliest brake 2-piston caliper for a nice car. why I don't know.
True, but they work good with a pad upgrade
