Absolutely love these BRZ track day videos, especially considering the car is “mostly” stock. Level of explanation and detail is much appreciated. Great laps, looking forward to more BRZ content!
Nice work dialing in your car and your driving Fenton. It's easy to see how much these mods improved the car and your comfort pushing it harder at it's limits. Loved you showing that Mini who's boss.

@@patrickbateman7122 Are you driving it at/beyond the limit? Also, depending on car setup, sometimes aggressive turn in is needed get the car to yaw well.
Zygrene just came across your channel. Something I been thinking of is a head to head track comparison of stock vs stock 2022 GR86/ BRZ and E36 M3 would probably be closely matched. If that is even possible to find that match up I would really like to see that. I'm liking your track test videos.
another simple mod is a K$N air filter "Part #33-5060" its $60 made for the 22 Brz/gr but you mighr already have another air filter. But awesome video! I'm also probably buying the touring exhaust soon :D.
@@Zygrene the box states 50% more airflow, horse power increase, and is a wet type filter. Can be cleaned and reused. I’m guessing they state increase in horse power due to increased airflow which is possible. However it’s just a drop in filter. I’m sure there may be better ones out there. But I have one in my car, can’t really tell the difference I drive casually. Maybe if used in a track setting the filter may provide some difference but not a lot. 😆
Nice setup. I am actually thinking of running 224/45/17 on the street with touring tires. Touring tires and more sidewall nicer ride. Keep the OEM wheels for the track.
and in the tests, the Japanese confirmed that the Subaru is faster, but it has an aluminum roof, steering knuckles, stronger rivets, etc. and is 10 kg lighter
I would have a problem with that infotainment screen burning an imprint on my eyes that I would see every time I blink. Can it be turned off? I'd have to throw a towel over it or something.
Night!? Stunned they let regular track day guys out at night, we ran the 25hr years back and had a major incident, air lift etc. Miata ran out of gas, couldn’t pull off completely, corner workers didn’t see him… got nailed from behind by a diesel Mazda 6. Not good. We invented Flagger In-Car Alert because of it. With age comes a cage boys.
Quite a few tracks out west seem to have acres of runoff. The car just gets dusty and that’s the extent of an off. I’m sure that helps ease your mind as you push the limit further
My brz is bone stock now, it’s feel a little hard on corner entry, but gr86 feel the way better, how to get the same entry feeling like gr86, but not lose too much rear stable?
Do you have any thoughts on how to improve steering feel? Coming from a Type R, the steering in ny GR86 feels completely numb. I can't feel the wheel load up during cornering the way I'm used to. Is there anything that can be done to make this better, or is it just one of those things that is what it is?
@zygrene I know for camber you can add camber bolts, but how is caster adjusted? Besides potentially helping with steering feel, could adding caster have any unwanted side effects on handling as well?
I have heard some ZD8 having a issue with the sealant breaking down and block the engine oil pipe. Just wondering do you know this problem and what can we do to it? Thanks
great run you beat my PB on this track with my 2018 wrx that had 380whp and 355wtq by a few seconds which goes to show that seat time is key and not HP. Granted that PB is from only my second visit to this track ever. I predict I will be able to out do my WRX with my GR once i get a handle on the handling and how to manage rwd characteristics. I also have a CF oil cooler and it did great at sonoma so I predict it will also do good in Thill.
