I love this song, both versions. The interlude that’s missing shocked me at first, but after learning the meaning, I prefer to have it included. It feels appropriate, despite the R-rated language 😉. Would love for you to check out a live version of Disturbed’s song The Night (live in Raleigh). It’s one of my favorite songs and really showcases David’s voice! 🤘🏼

Saw them live last night in Camden, NJ and this is my favorite song they do live. Everyone is screaming with him and it's just amazing to see!!

I know I'm very late and this video is like months old but yeah - this is considered the censored version. You described the interlude that is cut out pretty perfectly. It gets pretty explicit and violent - the instruments just get heavy and kinda laborous sounding, like a big beating heart while David screams "Why did you have to hit me like that, mommy?

Why did you have to be such a b*tch" and more and it goes on and is pretty intense. This song is a timeless classic man

I really love Danny's guitar work filling the gaps without infringing on David's vocals. Those guitar distortions are top tier.

Oh wa ah ah ah ...lol... David voice has matured even more beautifully over the years and so did his control of it. I don't know of another rock/metal vocalist that can slide so easily from head voice to distortion and back on a dime, nor have I heard anyone else actually put vibrato on distortion... which I understand is incredibly difficult to do. Thanks Ken...please try "The Light" and "The Game" soon.

The music video follows the radio edit and it cuts it out. My favorite part is that intro, especially because of the drums.

yeah..... you're missing the break down. David gets really into it with the skit and a few choice words.
I've seen them in concert twice and there is something magical about 1000+ people saying F*** Y** when that lyric comes up in the break down.

The original album also got remastered, I think about 10 years ago or so.
First of all to sing like this must be unreal and to perform to these mega crowds the energy would be beyond words 🙂
It's always fascinating watching someone who doesn't listen to a genre regularly react to something from that. At this point in my life I listen to about 10 genres of music because people keep sending me something that they liked outside my regular range of music and my catalog just expands. 🤷♂️

I'm glad you got this reaction pulled out of purgatory. The reason you laugh is because the song is FUN! Despite the seriousness of the topic (and yes, this version is considered the "semi-clean" version - although the radio version zips the "uck" out of "fucker" and the "hi" out of shit to clean it up a bit more) and the evident anger, the vocal style changes and the driving rhythm make the song just plain fun - hence the laughter!
Of course 2020 was also the 20th anniversary of DWTS ...
I’ve been a big fan of this group for years and now find a lot of their music from years ago fits the environment of evil and corruption today. Listen to and watch their video, “ Bad Men”. It hits the point now that no other music reaches. I like these guys and David D. more than ever now. He sings with all our bottled up anger and I love it!

Probably best you didn’t hear the part about his mom, there’s a reason they called the band Disturbed
It's symbolic and a metaphor about the government corruption and society. So it's not about his actual mother.
It amazes me to this day that David still has the quality of voice that he does considering how much he has abused it.

You definitely got the right version. The psycho-babble of the other version just sounds pathetic. That must be the reason they axed it in the official video.
@caracoidwren944 the other version is not really allowed to be reacted to on UA-cam without the reacter getting in trouble. This is also the version that is played on the radio. He now only does the other version live in concert.
