- Chevy Malibu Weak Crank, Service Stabilitrak, Service Traction Control and Radio Turns off Fix. How to Test a Battery. This 2013 Chevy Malibu had a problem with a slow crank and multiple error messages on the display.

2013 Malibu says service steering and the brakes are on and gauges bouncing. Replaced the red cable and fuse assembly. Worked for few days and came back. Would the negative cable cause this? It has a sensor on it. Battery is new and says 14 or more volts when driving. When this happens, we have to pull the anti-lock brakes pump fuse otherwise the brakes are on all the time.
Thanks for the video. So battery has been changed. Problem still ongoing. Only starts after messing with power steering. Warning Message stops at check PS. Help!
Is it a chevy malibu? Have u checked the condition of the accessory belt to make sure its running the alternator, power steering and other accessories
Is this suppose to help us diagnose a problem or an infomercial for the tester?
Mine just started with the “steering wheel stability drive with care” light and I just put in a new battery and new alternator. Any ideas of what it might be?

Im having an issue with my 2016 Chevy Malibu, we thought it was the battery but AutoZone said it was not, we changed spark plugs, oil change and i can turn it on sometimes but half the time the car is dead,.. what could it possibly be? It’s not the engine I replaced it a year and a half ago.. I’m such a girl idk what to do please anyone?
My 2014 chevy started doing this and my key got stuck is there anything I can do about that
Probably an issue with the shift interlock cable, which will keep the key from coming out because the car doesnt think its fully in park ..u can call dealer and see if theres a recall on it...if not it may need to be adjusted or replaced..try going back and forth on the shifter from drive to park see if itll come out after a few tries

My 2013 Malibu LT shut off on me and it said service power steering with no check engine light on.. It has no crank and prior to that my steering was fine.. But when I put the car on neutral so i can push it then the steering was hard.. I'll add my alternator is fine and I bought a battery sometime last year but maybe it can be the battery?
Dis you fix it. Mine did the same. Turn on, power steering message, turn off and just crank.

Well it means it has an issue that could affect it..does it have any other light? Like a check engine light or battery light? If not it may be a wheel speed sensor or anything else that could affect it
Girl I have a hybrid Chevy Malibu 2017 the whole car shut down with new new battery 😣😣😣😣😣 it happened this morning stabilatack been popping up for a year whole heart broken 💔😭 I called the car dealership no help 😢

The headlight wouldn't affect the power steering...those malibu's do have a problem with the electric power steering that they may have to replace the steering column..u may be able to contact a dealer and with ur vin number they may have a recall or warranty on it.
Does it start to shut off your car? Like completely stop your car for moving because that what it does to mine.
Well it would put it into limp mode, which was it wouldnt wanna accelerate past 15 mph and the fans would be running all high
Okay well my car stop driving and slowly goes to stop and just wouldn’t turn on for at least 25 to 35min. And it only shut off if I hit a bump or do a hard turn.

I have Chevy Malibu 2013 exactly that's what happened to my car but still when I take the mechanic they told me it's engine but right now when I see you video it's look like battery imma go ahead and try tomorrow
While driving first the battery light came on then it said service system battery charger then when I left the car running the abs light came on I turned the car off and it wouldnt start but when I let it sit for 5 mins it started up but the power steering message came on then it was hard for me to turn.
First thing i would do is check to make sure the accessory belt is on and in good shape..if thats ok if u have a multi-meter i would check the charging voltage or if the dash tells u the battery voltage while car is running ud want that to be over 13volts

Is it just saying service stabilitrak or a few other things going on?
A simple vvt oil valve solenoid can cause all these errors too

@@yaboiw6060 stabilitrak is kinda like an individual braking system to keep ur vehicle stable like say on sharp turns or if ur vehicle loses control when accelerating..it can do a counter move to get the vehicle back under control by braking a specific brake individually..does it stay on even after turning off the car and restarting it after a while?
My 2014 Malibu is saying check power steering drive with caution and when I move the gear it seem like its skipping gears and jerking every time I move the gear,also it's not showing what gear it's in on the dash or next to the gear. I haven't driven it since it happened. I just put a new battery in it a few months ago. I really hate to spend probably near a thousand dollars to get fixed at a dealership plus get it towed there too.
I know for the gear selector there is a recall..just not sure if it applies to that year too but it wont hurt to call about it...its recall 12162...as far as the power steering... on certain malibus they may need to reprogram the power steering control module and they do that for free within 10 years of original purchase or 150k miles

I have a new battery in Automator in my car still go dead in the charging be at 15.0
When does the battery die? During driving or is it dead in the morning or randomly just wont wanna start?

@@randallwashington2427 sometimes itll have a hard time starting after battery replacement because the computer has relearn the electronic throttle body.
Can any owner suggest if I should buy one of these used now? if not would be great to know your experience.
Problems ive encountered have been..the battery needed to be replaced...a bad ignition coil and having to replace a variable valve timing solenoid.
I have 191,000 miles on my 2014 and other than maintenance I have replaced 2 solenoids and it looks like I'm going to have to replace the battery (lol). I have had trouble with idiot lights staying on when there's nothing wrong with the car, so if you get a used one I wouldn't let that scare you off. I would buy another in a heartbeat, on my budget. If I had a bigger budget I'd get an impala. I drove the wheels off an impala from 2000 to 2018 (RIP Happy Green Impala, we loved you well.)
I own a 2016 Malibu 2.0T I bought it 3 yrs ago with 30k mi it barely broke 100k mi this month. I have been on top of maintenance of all kinds. This car has been a nightmare. DONT DO IT

I have a 2014 Chevy Malibu 2.5 l
It started on random day driving. My car jerked and I got a notification saying “service power steering system”. Checked the codes only code was lost communication with TCM. Checked wires and connectors and found no issues. It makes it impossible to drive, it pops up that message randomly. It happened once I totally forgot about it because it ran fine after letting it sit. It got worse doing it more frequently.. To the point I needed to get towed several times. Also when the message pops up the locks go crazy.. they lock & unlock several times, if I press the gas it jerks me.
Already reprogrammed the power steering system.
The next day it starts on normal. It’s just a hit or miss and does this randomly.
Normally issues like that when they work one day and other it doesnt..it could be an issue with one of the grounds on the car..the harness has grounds that attach to the engine and to the body of the car..or even a bad ground cable or corroded battery terminal on the battery could cause that..id check all that...did u have any work done on it recently that someone may have left a body ground loose on it before this started?
Had those problems. Took it to two dealers neither could figure out what was wrong because it would act up so randomly. Turned out to be jus a faulty connector cable from the battery to fuse box.

Did u clean ur battery connections, and make sure connections are tight?...does it spin slowly? Or does it not rotate til after a lil while of trying?

In beginning before week it is show me message :-
1- engine power reduced --- i fix it by clean actuator
2- show me message of fuel pump low flow ---- i fix it by replace it another one
3- delayed in star operate at morning and show battery signal in dashboard like your video --- i fix it by replace battery a new one but still delayed issue and disappeared signal in dashboard .... that is all
Sometimes when I start mine my windshield wipers will turn on then car turns I don't know why
I think that happened when i was recording too and that was all related to the bad battery
I change the battery and still don't work and the key is stuck and i can't pull it out 🙂

So if the car starts jolting and vibrating as you’re driving and then you get the “service stabilitrak” notice. Does it mean it’s battery malfunctioning? Or is that issue separate?
No thatd be something different, it could be that the system detected something wrong, is the check engine light on also?
Backyard Chevy yes. When I try to speed up it keeps flashing the service stabilitrak, and I can feel the car trembling.
@@abigailmartinez699 u can get it scanned at like autozone and the code will give u an idea of what it could be...like it might say front right sensor or front left..it could even be something wrong with the tire causing it to detect a problem.
Backyard Chevy So the code that came up was P0302: Misfire Detected Cylinder 2. They told me to take it to a jiffy lube they’ll fix it -.- lol they also suggested an ignition coil.
@@abigailmartinez699 yea most likely a ignition coil or spark plug..that would definitely cause the shaking
