I've got an 07 Vulcan 900 Custom waiting for me back home when I get finished with my bone marrow transplant. It had the same problem and I as well thought it was injectors. Can't wait to put fresh plugs and pull those restrictor plates. Thanks for the great videos. I really enjoy the no BS format .
Mitch my heart goes out to you I hope everything works real well for your transplant and I hope that you get your bike going and be able to really ride it thank you sir for your comment God bless you 🙏
Sir I was just wondering how did everything go with the transplant I've been wondering about that and I hope everything is going good just curious to know that's all and I was concerned about everything and hope really really hope you're doing great 😊🙏
@@lp.670 My transplant went as the Drs planned. It got pretty rough for awhile. I was away from home for 2 months, I'm back home and doing well now though. Thank you for asking.
Sounds like my 2007 when I bought it. It was the fuel pump assembly. The pump itself was okay, but the filter in the assembly is non-servicable. You can either "frankenstein" something, or pay the piper (Kawasaki Dealer). It's $500. Has run like a top ever since.
Sorry it took me so long to respond to you and I have a video of how to clean the second fuel filter that you can not open and I did the same thing on my 1600 Vulcan you would not believe the junk that came out now both bikes are running great thank you for your comment sir 👍
same thing happened with my 2005 Hayabusa. It only had around 6000 miles on it and it started running like crap. I drained the fuel and put fresh gas in it, no difference. I then changed the plugs and it has been running fine since!
From the looks of that plug. You may have a leaking injector. Also those butterflies were in there to increase air velocity going into the engine. Just like on a cv carburetor. But if you like it without them, that's cool too.
Thank you for your comment Mr Tim and the info about the butterflies all I know is when the butterflies was in when I get around 90 mph I can feel it nose dive now without the butterflies it's no nose diving and I'm able to get more mile per hour out of the bike but thank you for your comment sir I really do appreciate it 😊👍
@@lp.670 From what I've read, they're supposed to help midrange power, and by modding that setup it only adds little at top end, but decreases midrange pickup. I guess it's worth trying. As long as it feels right, it is right =)
Sorry it took me so long to respond to your comment sir it might be you second fuel filter clough up and I have a video of how to clean it I done it on my 900 and 1600 Vulcan 🖖 thank you for your comment sir 👍
You might need to check the rear plug to see if it is loose that was the problem with mine and the bike had 4127 miles on it when I got it so if you are having the same problem as I had checked your spark plugs thank you for your comment sir 👍
Glad to see you got it going I was thinking you needed to put some Lucas fual injection cleaner in it and see if it help clean the injection but I see you needed plugs the set was sure black like it was way to rich of a mix ratio or something i would check that air filter and see if it had oil on it I got one I over filled the oil when I changed it and it sucked it into the air filter I'm wondering is that how your bike with 8 thousand miles could file out a spark plug that way these 900 kawasaki are pretty good motorcycle motor rarely see much go wrong on them I half to admit I over filled my oil the first time I changed it and it was my fault I plugged up the air filter but I got a new one off Amazon and it's ran great every since I changed it out I'm nit far from. Were you made the video at the Stateline I'm on county road 33 in Houston county behind county cross creek
Thank you for your comment sir I've been wondering on county road 33 where is it that place is at because I know county road 33 all the way from 231 to Ashford Edwards 84 East now I know that they is a name very similar to that it might be the same place I'm thinking but that's off of highway 109 now where I do majority of all of my videos is over there on highway 605 at pratt's landing it's a air strip it's between mile marker 5 and mile marker 6 easy to find if you will let me know I would like to meet you one day maybe you can come down to the hanger because I video airplanes motorcycles paragliders now the only Creek that I know that's on 33 is north of Love town heading toward Ashford is that the location you're talking about just asking thank you for your comment sir 👍
Sir sorry it took me so long to respond to your comment on the back the miles is 8045 the back had 4,127 miles on it when I bought it it does have NGK plugs but the rear plug was loose had to been from the factory and the gas I have been running in it has been 92 octane 10% ethyl thank you for your comment sir and I apologize about taking so long to get back with you thank you sir
Thank you for your comment sir the question that you're asking me on the bike the problem was the rear spark plug reason why it was skipping and running only on one cylinder that was the main issue with the bike thank you for your comment sir I hope this answers your question 👍

Now just how hard is it not to leave gas in it when set up?
Note, for those who have a idle issue, spark plugs 1st.. clean/test injectors.. ignition coils. Ignition coils people overlook.

How many miles on those old plugs? NGK?
What kind of gas do you run? 87 ethanol-free?
