Thank you sir! Exactly what my 900 is doing for the second time even after fuel pump and filter has been changed. Don’t see rust, but must be some residue like bondo from prior tank repairs. I’ll take any additional suggestions on how to get the tank fully cleaned. Gonna try your method to clean fixed filter. Thx!
Hey man. Great video. But in the top part of the fuel pump, you can take out the pressure regulator and that spacer. Bend the straw on the carb cleaner just a little bit. Then you can clean out the filter that's in the top part. They don't make replacements for it.
Got a 07 Vulcan 1500 fi. Just this morning acceleted to 70 and when I got to the light it sounded like it was laboring or starving for gas. Hope this works
@@dixiegaragecustoms well I took out the fuel pump today and it looked pretty clean. There are two vent hoses under the tank that where kinked. I wonder if that could also cause it
Not sure what you mean about the Volkswagen Beetle sound. But how did it run? Kinked lines can be a problem. Did you follow them and see what they goto?
This video really help me on a major stump, didn’t even know that upper part was a secondary filter
@@patrickhealy9709 it’s actually a regulator it yes the fix in the video still worked

Drain all the fuel. I’m betting it’s that top filter! Give that a good cleaning and fill the tank back up with some fresh 93. Hopefully that’ll do it.

@@dixiegaragecustoms took it out on the highway. When I got out it sounded like a Volkswagen Beetle at idle and acceleration of that makes sense
