Max is just on another level this year. He is one of those drivers that once he has confidence in his car, he finds so much extra speed. I used to say he is overdriving the car, getting more out of it but taking risks as well. It's not like that anymore, he is extracting more out of the car without doing any damage, it's just pure confidence and talent. Max is in the second fastest car and dominates the championship, it's insane what we are seeing from this man this year. A perfect example of the driver making the difference in a technical biased sport.
Fastest car, still he emanes talent
Max was great but Ferrari facilitated his season
Quite simple: Verstappen won't enjoy his pension until he's beaten ALL existing records. THAT is how driven he is (pun intended)
How much I would love to believe this, he himself is not really focussed on breaking records and does not care much about them either, coming from his own mouth
He actually never showed interest in records and has said multiple times he wants to retire at 30.
To bad you think he's like that... Better do a bit of research in the person max verstappen................
thats actually not how he is at all, he will most likely retire out of formula 1 after his redbull contract ends and he wants to do other racing like endurance (he wants to win le mans)
@@captrick7105 I kknow him personally, AND his family
he WILL break Hamiltons record of the most points in a season. And as of the Dutch GP which he won, he could very likely match the 13 win record or even beat it
I think he will win at least three more times to match the record and as for the points record he has 310 too Lewis' 413, Verstappen only needs to win three times 25 x 3 (without fastest lap) takes him to 385 and add the Brazil sprint race points he's going to smash the points record in a season.
Hamilton win record is also a potential break looking at the upcoming years
@@pi9589 Verstappen has it in him currently to get very close to the 500 points, with exactly 190 points still to hand out. 7 wins, 7 fastest laps and brazil sprint
@@hammyjammy 😔
@@pi9589 I personally think there’s gotta be a * next to that tho.. there’s really no one on maxs level for comp so like his wins leave me with less satisfaction,, unlike last year where every time he won it was amazing cause he had Lewis as competition, this year as good as Leclerc is he’s not at the top level imo ,, all this to say if max does break the records to me at least it’s not as “cool” obviously nothing he can do about it tho not like he can make leclerc better or improve Ferrari strategy
Absolutely loving your style of videos! As both a German and a Max enjoyer I'd actually be happiest if he "just" tied the record, rather than beat it.
if we ask Max nicely maybe he'll get to 13 and then just go on holiday until next year
@@MrVsGarage I mean after todays performance its very likely that he would consider it :D
like it too, it's refreshing. Also, you can update the list after todays race:)
@@MrVsGarage ... or just watching from the paddock and having a cold beer
Records are there to be broken though
I think Spa was the culmination of a fairly direct attempt by RBR to break the other teams' spirits with such a focus, optimised weekend. The RB18 was practically built for Spa, and having such a dominant win after the summer break will likely cause other teams to pull focus away from this year towards next year. This would mean RBR will have increasingly less competitive rivals and can secure things up with the apparent chassis upgrade that's coming.
All of this leads to them potentially having things wrapped up in Japan, at which point they can turn their focus to next year too.
After that, it'll pretty much just be a case of how lucky Max gets. They won't get off as lightly with engine penalties again, or Max will have (or be on the recieving end of) a Hamilton-Alonso moment, or idk lightning strikes his tyre and takes him out of a race.
Breaking the most wins in a season record? Quite likely.
Breaking Schumi's win %? Mayyyybe, with good luck.
Breaking Ascari's record? Basically impossible.
One thing to note, Ferrari and Mercedes won't pull focus from this year just because Red Bull is too far ahead, they still have to fight each other. The cash difference in finishing 2nd or 3rd is massive. And while trying to beat each other, they may get closer to RB again as well
@@MrVsGarage Ah, very true actually!
@@MrVsGarage
I expect the fight between Ferrari and Mercedes only to benefit and secure RB's and Max' world titles even further.
@@MrVsGarage The chance of anyone catching RB at this point is slim to none.
@@Wuppie62 Not really, there is a difference between driver's fighting on track and teams fighting for points. In the former, it will benefit drivers who are not fighting each other as driver's who are fighting will lose time. However, in the latter, no one will benefit as there aren't any actual driver's who are battling it out on the track. Not to mention, Ferrari or Mercedes may battle RedBull to indirectly pull away from the other teams.
Max can also beat the most fastest laps in a season, record being 10 with Schumi(2004) and Raikonnen(2008) and most points by the end of the season if he wins 4 races he already has 400+ points
Verstappen actually has pole position for the Dutch GP. Incoming Grand Chelem
He actually won it
ez win
It's funny that Hamilton didn't manage to beat these records in a way more dominant - and also very reliable - car...
Suzuka and Cota are much more like Spa with very few low speed corners. RB will be totally dominant there again.
Not sure. Especially about the mercedes factor.
In Spa it was cold The asfalt was cold. Mercedes is not build for those temperatures which makes it near to impossible to run the tyres withing the best temperature window.
Domination from RB will depends on wether and temperature.
In Mexico , high altritude, it was always a RB track....if it still is with their low drag / downforce config I do not know. Open end if maybe Ferrari will have the top speed at that race.
@@reiniernn9071 Lets bet 😀
Thanks for confirming my bias! Its a euphoric feeling. It makes you all warm and fuzzy on the inside.
This was my first ever video of you I watched, and because of the quality and explanations of this video I immediately subscribed. But the I saw you only have 5K subs? If you keep making videos like this you’ll be a famous F1 UA-camr one day!
thank you! glad you enjoyed! and yeah, there's more videos coming
You're making great video's keep it up! I can see your growth go up like crazy!
Awesome content man! You deserve more viewers, keet it up!
Love your content my man, keep it up!👍🏻
Loving the style and content of your videos mate....keep it up 👍
After watching the video was convinced your chanel would have at least 50k subs, a real injustice. Great content and great production, keep up the awesome work. I'm going to watch your other videos, cheers!
He may even win the most points in a season record. If he wins the championship, he'll beat the highest deficit overcome to win championship, being -46 after Australian GP. And he may score #2 (or #3) record for youngest to win 2 championships in a row. Liking and commenting and subscribing because you're content is so high quality and wish you even better success!
how do you not have more subscribers??? amazing content as always, keep it up!!
Awesome video mate!
Dude I absolutely love you videos, keep up the good work
Your video's are very interesting to watch. Great job!💪
Great video!
Loving you content: lightweight, calmy (not get too excited or too basic), and insightful, keep the good work Mr V
Back Again, Abu Dhabi the last one this year number 15and a lot of pionts. Let's do this again next year
In the interest of having an interesting season next year, lets not.
Dude i love your style! Keep it going you got my sub👌
Nice video bro
very interesting and very entertaining!!
Its crazy to think that he might do this in a season where his car isnt the best at all tracks, his pace this year has been insane, and he seems to be making near no mistakes, and the mistakes he does make are so small he can make sure they wont change the result.
add to that the 2 DNF's he had....
Great underrated channel!
He's pretty much guaranteed to break 13 wins. If he wins in Singapore he'll probably beat 9 wins in a row. I'm not sure if he will win all 6 remaining races though
Love that line about ferrari grabing the loss with both hands.
A masterclass of not running a team. Lol...
If no major accident happens, Max will break most of the existing F1-drivers records.
He is a very talented driver that has significant chances to become the true Greatest of all Time, and he could do that while fighting a fierce competition with other young and talented drivers like Charles, George and Lando (who also deserve to become World Champions themselves).
We are at the dawn of a new Golden Age in Formula 1, mark my words.
Love your video !! Just a quick question, how did you get the layouts of the track with this design? Would it be possible to share a link please?
Max is too good (I am a ferrari fan💔)
Future F1 fan here from December. What do we do now the records have all been broken? We need 2 more races a season to allow someone to equal Max's dominance at some time in the future... not likely...
There is a possibility Max will achieve this record, he's an all-round driver with nerfs as steel.
Zandvoort yesterday was Ferrari's to lose, and yea they did. So that's 1 down 7 to go for Max :P
Ferrari was lucky to get on the podium. Zandvoort was much better suited to the Ferrari than say Spa, but I don't see Ferrari having a dominate pace over RB or even Merc at any of the remaining races. I think they stumble into another race win or two, but I don't see it by 20-30sec without chaos taking out rivals.
The way he’s going he’ll smash the total points in a season record too
I’ll say it. 9wins in a row is far more impressive than the 13wins. Regardless of 18 or 19 races a year.
But both are clearly monumental achievements.
This video is already aging pretty well
Back Again ! 2023 that is 1
The 23 win streak starts here
Great video.. One q what u think about 2023 cars performans? Who will be on top?
Always hard to say. We've reached the engine freeze now and it looks like Ferrari have the best one, but I don't think they will catch Red Bull on aero efficiency. I would expect Mercedes to arrive with an answer to their low top speed next year, but still be behind RB.
If I had to bet money on it, I would say:
1. Red Bull
2. Mercedes
3. Ferrari
Then probably McLaren over Alpine just because the Enstone team is always so good at ruining anything good they do, such as making an OK car this year.
Watching this after monza and he won at zandvoort so if he wins in Singapore he might beat many of those records
well he just won at Zandvoort so its looking pretty good
I think Max also hold the record of having the most fans worldwide ! (judging by the abu dhabi reaction vids)
Great video! And...2 down, 6 to go 😎
I am betting, that he will be victorious in áll the remaining races this season…
And with a substantial margin..!
Keep up with your nice reviews💪
Already won Zandvoort 🏆 😎 subscribed ,perfect explanation 👌
the record it will be broken is the most teardrops from tifosi fans in monza
Back again, didn't forget you! It's time for a new video with new records...........................
That is made possible by the increasing length of the season.
More impressive would be to beat the longest streak of wins!
In a way, but remember back then teams could use a new engine every weekend. Shorter seasons but long term reliability was less of a thing.
@@MrVsGarage Now, teams can use an extra engine, start "from the back" and still win the race 🙂
At least, Max has shown that he can...
@@Rob2 well that would be normal considering spa is a track that favours the red bull engine for this season
@@uchihamadara2152 it really doesn't favor the engine but moreso car characteristics
@@valkeitos Spa is a power track, a fresh engine helps
Here after Monza .Max just destroyed the opposition and I do personally think that he will break all the records. It’s going to be max masterclass this season
Love the video!
And Zandvoort is in the pocket. 7 to go...
Monza too, 6 left
as a singaporean, tho all evidence points to max securing the championship after suzuka, i want to say he'll wrap it up in singapore lol
It's not impossible, unlikely though. Max needs 5 more points on Checo/Charles to wrap it up in Japan, 31 to do it in Singapore. With only Monza to go before Singapore, it will either require a retirement of both in Monza or Singapore, or both finishing 5th or lower in both races. And that's if Max wins both races with the fastest lap. The wins are likely, the rest not.
One thing amazes me , since Singapore is such a "downforce" track that suits this year's Ferrari car so good , how did the 2019 Ferrari which had straight line speed its main thing get a 1-2 in both qualifying and race?
They had their "illigal" engine which gave them a massive acceleration boost compared to other teams, on a start stop track like singapore (a lot of 90 degree corners with short distances between them). you need a lot grip or acceleration.
Exactly this most likely
@@rinkwilbrink653 So good or bad sign for RB this year?
@@rinkwilbrink653
And there’s also two quite long back straights as well.
Tracks like singapore need good chassis and yk who has a good chassis
Great video, love the narrative style.
I am watch F1 almost 30 years and all races. When I started watch I have 15 years and that time was Mansel, prost and Senna the best 3. The greatest battles that. MC, claren and Ferrari. That time came young Schumacher new guy in F1 with Benetton Renault and started supeised this big drivers. 94 "he win a lot races and go to Ferrari, and all next we know. 💪🇸🇮
Seeing as he won at Zandvoort to make it ten wins I cant see him not at least equaling the record and winning thirteen he should win at Monza, Mexico & Brazil.
At this point not getting to 15-16 would be mind blowing.
Not then is done. 7 more shots remaining. I hope Max can win 5 of them. Will be absolutely brilliant.
Ascari should have an asterisk by it thougb shouldn’t it? And with the Mercedes resurgence Suzuka and Singapore might be tougher wins for RB. But Max will give them a fight I’m sure. Keep up the great vids.
I understand what you say. Great about sport debate... it's ages ago but to achieve such the cars where way more unreliable then the current form. Putting an asterisk wouldn't be justified in my opinion...
Here after Zandvoort and wow
Well, one down seven to go.
Update.. Max Verstappen Snatched Pole in Zandvoort.
and he won.. so that is one ticked off the list.. and counting..
6 to go
Not a huge Max fan but I feel like some drivers might intentionally sabotage his streak. Would be sad to see for sure
Probably. Another car already damaged his RB18 trying to unlap himself on soft tires in the 2020 season. Well see shit like that again I think. Amd White hé had a roght on softer tires. Softer tires dont meam shit if the car just cant keep pace
I have been doing the math myself and with the win in Zandvoort last Sunday its looking more and more likely that he atleast able to beat schumi's record but the Vettel one is gonna be a bit harder, but again, its MAX VERSTAPPEN. You never know.
2023 Max Verstappen. 19 wins out of 22 races, 86.36% win rate. Unreal
He most probably will break Ham's record of having scored maximum points in a season i.e 413 , seeing that we have 7 races to go ( after zandvoort) he can very much get it done and can go on to even score 450 Or so points
As of now (15/22)
🏆 🇸🇦 🇮🇹 🇺🇸 🇪🇸 🇦🇿 🇨🇦 🇫🇷 🇭🇺 🇧🇪 🇳🇱 (10)

Still to go (7)
🇮🇹 🇸🇬 🇯🇵 🇺🇸 🇲🇽 🇧🇷 🇦🇪
I would like to see a WDC win the title without a front row start or fastest lap
Lauda won a world title without a front row start iin 1984 but set 5 fastest laps. Another interesting stat is that if Keke Rosberg finished 2nd at Dijon Prenois instead of win and subsequentley retire at the end of the 1982 season, he would have been a World Champion without any wins in his career.
@@gigadonis8684 I did know about the Niki Lauda stat, I also know that five WC won their titles without fastest laps. I would like both to happen in the same season. Even better my theoretical WC could also go for a triplecrown and not lead the most laps
My man just jinxed him
Mexico number 14, 2 (races) to go
I get the feeling this won't be your last comment
Guess we are screwed, TD39 leveled only Ferrari with Mercedes. Red bull has done a fantastic job this year, and Verstappen reached a hole new level. Perez with the "same" car takes 20s per race
Max is certainly the most complete competitor at this time, but in his day, James Hunt stood apart. He used to say that a BJ before race would greatly relax him...
Michael win 13 races, But that time was 19 races in one year 13 /19=0,684 %races win. MAX 13 /22 =0,590! Max win 15 races had 0,681 %wins. He need 16 wins to beat a Michael! 16 /22 =0,710wins in one year! 🇸🇮💪
Well he just knocked out Zandvoort soooooo….. let’s see what happens at Singapore when they bring the update
After watching the zandvoort gp just a few minutes ago this makes me think what are the stats now hahahahahhaha
Imagine if Verstappen would have won at Silverstone he would already have 7 wins in a row!!
he def was going to win that race… so much more pace than Sainz
He didnt win in Austria
btw 2023 season?
a certain driver won 19 out of 22 races (86,3% win percentage) with 11 consecutive race wins (from Miami GP to Italian GP)
Formula Verstappen 😂
He can also break the record for most podiums in a season and most points scored in a season
The record I was thinking was "drivers championship with X races left" the record is at 6 by Schumacher. Verstappen need to be 161 points clear of the second place at the end of Monza in order for that to happen, completely unlikely. Only possible if somehow Lewis, George, Carlos, Charles and Checo Dnf.
Can’t compare different point scoring system though
America number 13, 3 (races) to go
You should have made this video after Zandvoort 🤣
Also will take the moost points in a championship
Here after Zandvoort. Max smashed it
Here after monza
After Belgium: Zandvoort ✔️, Monza ✔️.
Suzuka number 12, 4 to go
A bit early isn’t it?
i think if he doesnt break it this season he will at some point in his career
So, we are on ten after Zandvoort The Netherlands.
Max may be the man to win 8 titles. succeed where Hammy has failed, by his own had at that
Please make "How not to run a race feat. Ferrari"...💀
Zandvoort has shown that tracks like Zandvoort (suzuka), no longer favour Ferrari. So he can basically win at any track.
schumacher could have won 13 races in a row in 2004 if montoya didn't rear end him in monaco, he was UNREAL.
Well, Zandvoort is in the bag, although absolutely not expected, but to be honest, Max want’s to be champion again, he doesn’t care about these records so it will probably not happen, to become champion you can’t take all the risk
It’s already over at this point
He just needs three more to beat it
Exit Lewis, Enter Max, records are meant to be broken
Verstappen wont have more than 100 race wins
@@mrklv1593 He already has 31 wins, aged 24.... Lewis had 33wins aged 29. Age wise it's entirely possible, if RB keeps being strong enough Max surely can
zandvoort number 10, 7 to go.....
I love looking at outcomes from different angles.
You have highlighted a very different aspect to Max's achievements so far in F1.
It defies logic to believe that a 24 year old driver & his RB team are in a position to re write the record books again in such an amazing way.😊🤩
As an F1 fan, I feel privileged to be able to witness all the amazing twists & turns this F1season is providing this year.
Keep up the good work. Thanks
should win 6/8 last races but very well could win all of them. Singapore and Japan both might be losses.
