American passport bro living his best life with his Japanese wife/girlfriend. These videos are so high quality. I like the back-and-forth exchange as chef explains what he's doing and what he's preparing. There is so much pride not only in the preparation, but in the presentation. That Wagyu beef was cooked to perfection! So much attention to detail. For real, it's well worth the price you pay for this quality of food. I like that they give chef control over the menu. The only thing that caught me off guard was the cheese on the nori. I've never seen cheese used before in Japanese dishes. I like toasted nori for a snack.
What did he use? 14:00 looks like water but only did half the job. 14:45 is the magic. An oil of some sort that doesn’t blacken? What wizardry is this?
99percent of teppan performances in US are Chinese American thing. Teppanyaki in Japan used to be like more street food oriented such as animal organs or unknown meat yakisoba or okonomiyaki. They are all ghetto roots.
I wish I could understand what they are saying but i'm assuming they are describing the food and the experience ahead of them. I'm so hooked on these videos
I had thought that was Caciocavallo cheese! Paused when they showed the menu and confirmed it. Showed this to my Italian mother in law and she couldn’t believe that they used her local regional cheese in a Japanese restaurant! Ciao!
Dang, 304 usd for that service? That is absolutely incredible! I wasn't expecting to see the cost at the end but I was thinking this was a very high cost meal. I would love so much to visit, Maybe one day.. thanks for sharing
I literally am at the point where I am going to plan a trip just to do this for a single meal. Looks amazing and I can't even imagine what it would smell and taste like. Well done video.
I just visited there in November! I had found this place from one of your previous videos. The food was amazing! I told him that I found the restaurant from your channel but not sure if he understood from the language barrier.
Thank god a restaurant that actually puts a lid on a steak cut to make sure the fats are sealed in. amazing. 100x better than the last one of your vids I watched.
I could watch these guys cook wagyu steak all day. This is the closest i am ever going to get to trying real wagyu steak. I literally can't even afford food with fifty cents in pennies in a jar.
This is amazing and not that expensive considering the quality of the food and especially the quality of the service. The chef is devoting 100% of his time to two guests only! One thing to improve though: I would expect a better knife with this beef even if one almost does not need a knife to cut it.
So, I’m watching this because I’m hungry. With what delicacy will I slake my appetite? You guessed it; peanut butter and banana. (My local Kroger is out of wagyu beef at the moment… and all other moments.)
The way they treat the food, the care and respect… if more cultures treated everything as delicately and as respectfully as they treat the food and the experience they provide in your videos… just imagine.
What I notice on all these videos is that the Japanese guys cook the steak completely opposite of what they do in Europe/USA. They always start it slow, instead of throwing it on a searing hot surface.
Because wagyu has so much fat, it needs to be rendered some. If you have it too hot, it will burn/overcook the meat before all the fat renders. So it's more about the type of meat than it is location!
Amazing, makes me dream of visiting japan just to eat there! silly question: what is the white noise heard in the background, sounding like an electric generator?
That first spoonful of soup looked good, just the viscosity showing how creamy and thick it was. Wish I knew what the flavour was. Gotta echo some of the other comments and request subtitles, or even just a caption of each dish.
I know it's not your custom, but I would still like a brief description of the dishes in English. Anyway, I really enjoy the channel and I appreciate it.
Thank you for the wonderful video of our restaurant!
We look forward to seeing you again.
