Thanks for hosting this video. I've been suffering with this condition for about 20 or so yrs. Finally, I have some answers & tools to help relieve my symptoms. I have childhood trauma, as well as physical trauma from playing too many sports & being a radically daring youth with my body. It caught up to me in my early 20s. I have nearly 21 more years of dealing with this condition & it's for the bird's. I have no enemies, yet I still wouldn't wish it on them. My weight gain isn't helping either. I broke my left ankle pretty bad in 2021 & it still hasn't been the same & in 2022, a mysterious illness almost took my life. I'm a basket case & looking for any type of healing now. I hope to find something more long-term than medicine. I hate taking pills, but I do what I have to. I'll be sure to check out your other videos. I'm considering buying pilates equipment, if it really does help. Any exercise suggestions are welcome. Thanks Dr. Graeme
Thank you so much for this! Your videos are the only ones I've found that make real sense to me. I hope more people with fibromyalgia get to watch them & heed your advice.
Hi, thank you so much, I've just found you. I've had fibromyalgia for 13yrs, I'm from england, and because I didn't want to take loads of pills the doctors want help me. I have massage's but I can't always afford them. I have just started a low histamine diet that is also help me.
As I said in the video the occasional professional massage is not going to be a great help. You need a self massage option so you can get the large number of regular massages you need.
Thank Will. Please check out our order page www.drgraeme.com/orders It has the direct order link, plus a list of clinics that may be able to sell you one.
I just found your life changing videos on fibromyalgia. 1st I want to thank you and send you prayers 🙏 of ❤️ love and blessings. 2nd you are amazing 👏 I was diagnosed in 1997 and I suffered so many years of flare ups especially when I wasn't able to keep a regular sleep schedule plus prolonged periods of emotional stress and eating processed foods and diet soda. Back when I was diagnosed the medical info avoided was extremely limited. I was prescribed anti depressants, nerve desensitization meds like lyrica and gabapentin [excuse my spelling] and tramadol a non opioid pain reliever. About 15 years after that diagnosis I started a deep tissue massage physical therapy prescribed by my doctor. The massage treatment was the only thing that gave me long term relief from fibro musculoskeletal pain. Being in less pain for longer periods of time helped me to be able to do other physical activities like hiking and yoga.. I'm letting your views know 1st hand I've had wonderful long term pain relief and overall positive wellbeing by using self massage, Epsom salt soaks in tub, eating organic and lots of fresh water, balanced sleep schedule and the most important was usung stress relief tools like daily meditation 🧘♀️, Journaling, hiking 🚶♂️ spending time in nature. Grounding your nervous system by taking off your shoes or sitting on the ground. From 5 to 15 mins every day helps me enormously to stay symptom free from fibro. I will add everyone is different. But I've been dealing with this illness for close to 30 years and I'm thankful to report the last 10 years have been the least painful and most joyful of my life. Fibro flare ups are minimal as long as I don't ignore the triggers for my body & mind. Thank you so much. Wonderful 🏆 job. ❤❤❤
Dr Graeme can you recommend a good medical professional in Melbourne that is great with trigger points ? I'm suffering quite bad. Ordered your massager just now.
Hi Anna. I can't really recommend anyone, but it won't be a medic. It will be someone like a Chiro, Osteo, physio or Myotherapist. If you check out some of our articles it will give you an idea of the approach they use will help.
Shiatsu chairs would not be good. Shiatsu is a painful pressure technique that fibromyalgia sufferers would not tolerate, so if you had a chair applying fibromyalgia over larger areas that could be horrendous. In the video I gave a modified pressure technique you can use on yourself, but the genuine vibration massage is the best option
It varies depending on their condition and your tolerance. You might get some advice from a professional familiar with your needs, but some people just start conservatively and work up.
I had knots all over trap and shoulder blade. Its now spread to my other should making its way down my back. Tons of knots and thick soft adheaions. Now making its way down my legs.
yep I'm the same, it's now so bad in my legs I only get a few hours sleep at night. I'm completely exhausted and can't work. I hope you are getting help.

Would a tens machine help?
Absolutely not. You have been told what works so why are you wanting to do something else??
Because people like us HURT all the time...and perhaps they have a unit and just wanted a professional answer. 😮 Just wow l.@@drgraeme
thank you!!
Any time 🙂
I read that your massager isn't available in the U.S. Is that true?
Correct, our insurance company will not let us send any there because suing people is a national sport 😞

Looks like you have a lot of work to do,, hope you have got started. Forget the story about adhesions. That is usually BS, ie.no adhesions.
