They tried to steal mine but I had a tazer and pin lock. I am sick of these thieves.
The zautomotive channel actually posted my dashcam footage. Your theft totally gave me flashbacks of mine and how I felt when they just TRIED. Its not just a car. To a car guy its not just a car. I took it very personally.

I’d check with the police on how many cars have been stolen from the gym. Suspicious that the video footage was jacked right at that moment.
So shocking to see this. Almost unbelievable. Such a great car that you meticulously upgraded with the highest quality parts, maintained, cleaned and DROVE! I am SO SORRY for you loss. I hope the perpetuators get caught go to prison for a very long time. Best wishes and support in advance for whatever you decide.
Absolutely terrible this happened to you but very thankful you posted it. I have, because of your channel, taken extreme measure to make mine much more difficult to steal.
I saw that there was a post in the HC forum - thanks for adding the details here. Your videos helped me do a few modifications on my own HC. I was nervous the whole time because the car is special to me, so I feel you when you say the car was special.
It breaks my heart to see bad things happen to good people. I'm praying that there's a loaded Demon 170 owner that's giving up one of the 4 or 5 that they have to pass along ro you! Or whatever the case may be, I hope you have a great next chapter.

I got it on my TRX. Can’t make a new key OR even if they take your key, they need a pin to allow the can bus to demobilized.

So sorry brother. I feel your pain. My Dodge Durango SRT was stolen in May. My son and I were working on it together and had been tracking the performance progress at the track. It still pisses me off to this day. F that its just a car statement, to enthusiasts cars are more than that. I never heard anything from police on what happened to mine. Plus dealing with insurance, finding a new vehicle, and getting all the paperwork settled took almost 3 months. Not to mention my 2.69 interest rate went to a 7.89 rate for the new car.😡 I later refinanced for 4.99 rate. Wasn’t able to replace it with another SRT due to inflated prices and mark ups. But man dealing with all that BS definitely took a tole on me mentally. Still trying to let go of the anger from it.
That's the rub. Finding something to replace it.
@@SpeedysGarage Yeah, could not justify a bad financial move to appease my emotions. Had lots of SRT’s from Jeeps, 300’s, Challenger, and many other dodge products. Honestly left dodge because I got mad at them for their lack of security and because I didn’t want another highly targeted vehicle again. Too much negative energy for Dodge/Chrysler with the takeovers and stolen vehicles. I never want to experience that violated feeing of having something I worked so hard for be taken at whim. I even de-badged my new vehicle to make it less likely to be targeted.

I had a 2019 Redeye that was stolen from my house at 3:00am on my birthday, about a year and a half ago.
I've got it all on video also and the same as you, they broke my driver's side window and started it right up and drove away. I don't think it took them more than 15 seconds, from start to finish.
To sum it up, insurance paid and i bought a 2022 Superstock...

We have a group here in the Dallas area that are stealing Hellcats, Redeyes, Demons. Same thing, they go into parking lots, scan for vehicles, hit the car they want and boom, gone in a few mins.
Dam... Speedy I am so dam sorry to hear this. This was very gut wrenching to watch . I can only imagine how you feel. I hope they figure out who it was and they go to jail for a long time . My first question is always…. Why didn’t you have an alarm? That’s all you would have needed…an alarm and a simple gps tracker. Let this be ANOTHER lesson to all dodge owners.
Sorry to hear this happen to you. It really sucks and I can understand the emotional hit from losing that car. Great memories with that car, but you have many more to fulfill with your next ride.
OMG I'm stunned... that makes me sick... especially at 13.06 seeing it cut up... feel bad for you man... I could tell you really loved that car and I really enjoyed your video's and seeing GMG making passes. I have a 2015 HC #311 down the assembly line... I'm really going to pay a lot closer attention at where I drive it and park it. I hope you don't give up on the Mopar brand... I'm sure you feel like "been there done that" but don't give up. There are not many guys that can articulate the steps/mods you were doing to the car and then post the time slips to show the real-world results. Good Job and best of luck.

Sorry for your loss. As a suggestion for a "new project car,"... I loved my HC as you did yours. I have now switched over to BMW, and you look like an M8 guy to me. I purchased an M4 and will likely be getting an E92 M3 for my next project vehicle. Would like to hear your thoughts on the switch if you would even consider it.
Had the security update on my 19 challenger hellcat redeye...it actually works....had a friend who programs keys and he even hooked up directly to vehicle and it wouldn't let him get any info...told him cannot communicate to module....plus I installed carlock and hid it in vehicle which is not easily accessible and it works amazingly....sorry for your loss...hopefully you get another and build better

I'm so sorry to hear about go mango. They broke the passenger window on my redeye this summer to steal it but were defeated by the RF hub security update. I have several other layers of security, but I'm still afraid to leave it anywhere. I've been following your builds since CF5 and hope you stay with us in the Mopar world. I think a go mango Demon is the next logical step for you!

I might have made the same "mistake" you made, but in retrospect the public nature of the parking lot might have made people complacent about watching for suspicious activity.

WOW I've been following you for years, and to see this makes me sick at the world we now live in. Sorry to see this happen! I was also sad to see you didn't get the Dodge Donut maker job. Clearly they really blew that one too! You were a great spokesman for Dodge and the winner ..lol I never saw anything about or from him. That was a big Screw Up by Dodge . Not unlike what is going on with the DEmon 170 and just dodge in general. Again Sorry to see this about Go Mango and to you. Things will get better, and maybe it's a change for the BETTER. Oh one more thing I just changed my EL sheet, and cluster screen do to it filing 2010 6.1 SRT8 Challenger I did a complete update rewired the entire thing with Glow needles, also It's all reversible if need be . Thanks to your Video I was able to get it in and out..looks Great too . Also upgraded the Alternator 250 Amp alternator mine kept failing,,gets hot and screwed up the engine ..power everything . ..Red Powder coat works great now no dimming at all. Man so sorry this happened. It is absolutely insane how these thieves can do this, this day in age. Hiw they cut the front end off is amazing like you said.
Sorry to hear this happened to you. I am also not surprised the Metro Police were slow to respond. If they already have an investigation and it is close to being finalized, they simply do not care about another car. Car theft rings are huge compared to what they used to be and will setup shop in jurisdictions where they know the DA will go easy on them.

I know exactly how you feel. I had a 2019 hellcat that was stolen while at the dealership for routine service! Car wasn't even there for 24 hrs. I was devastated at the time. By the time the car was found, insurance had already kicked in. Apparently it was part of a larger auto theft ring.
Sorry to hear about this Speedy. You're a smart man, I'm sure you'll get through this and will eventually fill that void in your garage. Good time for an upgrade though! Maybe Demon 170 or even a 2018 Demon if the price/car are right?

Man, that's heartbreaking Speedy. You have been my modding inspiration over the past several years. I truly feel your pain & loss. It's almost impossible to replace that car now that Dodge has ceased production on them.
Only suitable replacements that I can think of, or at least that I'd accept myself, would be a Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, a Mercedes AMG GT, or a C7 ZR-1. Good luck with whatever path you choose, & stay safe my friend! ✌🏼
Sorry to hear. Just some additional info 2022+ have the enhanced security with glass break, motion sensor, and tilt sensor. Also the RFhub lockout for the 2023 model year only will allow the dealer to program a new key only if an original key is present. Model years 2022 and earlier the dealer can not program any new keys with the RFlockout.
I had the same mindset a few weeks ago and left a small bag with basically nothing in it and they smashed my window. I was in and out in 40 mins too. Been more of a hassle replacing parts than the worth of what they stole
They put an Apple airbag on your challenger at a car show.That's how the thieves know where you're at.
If you have an iPhone you’ll get a notification. That’s also why you shouldn’t put an AirTag on your own vehicle.

I'm very sorry to hear that Speedy. I get extremely attached to all the cars I've owned over the years also. Seems like you and your channel would be a perfect match for the Demon 170 but I can sympathize with how hard they are to come by. With the 170 out now, maybe you can come across a good deal on a 2018 Demon. Whatever you do, I wish you the best.

Holy crap! Sorry this happened. I sold my 2016 Go Man Go Hellcat Challenger a couple years ago and I do miss it but I replaced it with a Camaro ZL1 1LE Hennessey HPE 750. I highly recommend you consider a ZL1.

You are the MAN, Speedy. When you loose a family member, it's always nice to hold-close the remaining members - like sport runner. I have the same model and love to watch all those videos. Also, a big door will be opening for you because of the loss of Go Man Go - you will see.

This is part of the reason I decided to sell mine. I was tired of worrying about it being stolen every time I went out 😢😢

Wow unbelievable I really feel for you I watched all you videos of you building that car and racing it. It really sucks these days owning these cars having to worry about some a-hole taking it. I have a 19 Challenger red eye wide body octane red fully loaded every option. I think you should go with a wide body definitely. Or maybe even a trackhawk. I'm considering trackhawk myself but there so much money even with high miles. But there's nothing better on the street hook and book all wheel drive. Anyway looking forward to seeing what you get next. Also right now is a good time to get a red eye The prices have come down I keep a close eye on that all the time. There's some really good deals out there right now.

It's just incredible how something like that could happen so easily and then be stripped so cleanly. Far as I know, your old Challenger is still safe and sound here in Stuttgart.

Sorry for your Loss. I had a really nice stereo system stolen from my car in the mid 80's and it made me absolutely, physically sick that I vomited. I couldn't imagine how sick you felt inside nor could I imagine how sick I would be if someone stole my RT. We work hard to afford to own and personalize these things only for some POS to take them? Dang bro that sucks. I found your channel with the 4runner resto. I get attached to my vehicles as well. Whenever I buy a car, I treat it like I'm going to own it forever. I've had my truck 19 years and my SUV 12 years. I would be pissed if anyone stole them.

I had a manual 16 Hellcat I modded with E85 and ended up with a 20 Redeye wide body but hated the way the wide body drove and always on pins and needles wondering if my car was still going to be sitting outside when we went out of town from high theft rates on HCs.
I lost interest to mod it although I bought headers and pulley for it. Just felt like a moving target everywhere I went. I traded it for my current Raptor. I was looking at GT500s and newer Z06 cars but they have too much mark up.

Speedy it's sad that Go Man Go was stolen! When you have a favorite car it's hard to replace. I have had my Saleen for 16 years and just for this reason it is either locked in my shop or I am with it! If I am going somewhere that it will be left unattended I will drive another car. My family kind of thinks I am odd because there is not a lot of car theft in my smaller town but you never know. It does keep the mileage down it only has 12K miles after all this time! There are some nice Challengers & Hellcats out there for sale at least here in the NW. Hopefully you can find the right car to replace Go Man Go! Good luck!

It’s too bad you didn’t have a Apple AirTag hidden somewhere, I had one on my 23 Scat Pack, and I disable the audio portion, so it would really be hard for the thieves to find without that sound playing (I took a picture where I put it on the car). Those AirTags really do work, you can find out where the car is real time, the thieves almost have to keep moving the car if they don’t want it to be found. I tested mine out with my girlfriend, she was drive in the Scat Pack and I told her to leave and just go driving. About 15 minutes later I called her on her cell phone and told her are you at such and such a place and she said yes, I told her to go someplace else and park and I’ll see if I can find you. She drove to a car wash and parked inside the stall and that’s where I found her.
I had an incident where I noticed 2 (brothers) 😂were following me, I was zigzagging to see if I could shake them, I wasn’t speeding, but they continue following me. My phone had fallen between my seat and the center counsel. So I drove to a police department in my suburb and when they saw that they took off.
But long story short, I decided to sell my car because I can’t afford to have another claim, otherwise I know I’ll get dropped by insurance company. I traded it in and I left the air tag on the car and the dealer had it for about 40 days and somebody from New York bought it and they trailered it all the way back to New York, I live in Illinois. The air tag tells you the address where it’s at, I then put the address in Google earth and I saw the name of the company, went to their website and sure enough there’s my car for sale.
I live in Cape Girardeau MO, and my local Dodge dealership had several cars stolen about 2 months ago. Hellcats, I believe a Demon, and a TRX just name a few.
I’m sad, certainly. Dodge has courted “Gansta Life” with names like Jailbreak & “Brotherhood of Muscle”. 😑 I’ve seen the miscreant “takeover” culture just thrive around these cars. I had 2 Hellcats, paid off, & got rid of them. Why? Gansta low life. I’m on your side. Best we can do is spread the word and vote IAW punishing criminals. 🤔

I love my Cat and I hate it for this reason, this is why I never leave mine anywhere. I drive it and bring it back to my garage. The unfortunate part of owning one of these. Sorry this happened to you. You got the 170 now though.
