Gorgeous 170 - so happy you got one. Thanks for the tour. Brass Monkeys are my favorite wheel of all, and what's on mine too.
Best technical Demon 170 content yet! Learned a lot more details about the car that wasn’t mentioned! Plus picked up a couple of details advice….thanks brother! 👍🏾
I’m totally blown away. You washed an undirty brand new car and it came out clean as brand new. 😂😂😂. Fantastico’
Dodge is basically showing what the stage three kits will look like for Redeyes. I love your spec man.
I really enjoyed the break down and detailed look at this beautiful car. Thanks.
I say the wheels are a go for sure.
305-35R20 on an 11inch wheel for the rear tire - that is what the HC and RT widebodies run. the device on the left hand strut tower is the evaporative emissions solenoid/valve that purges the tank/canister of fuel vapor.
Super excited for you! Can'w wait to see it!
rich scotto
When swapping tires/wheels, should consider sticking to stock revs/mile metrics to ensure proper vehicle dynamics handling (i.e., handling controls receive accurate speed input signals). Otherwise, applicable computer controls may negatively impact non-track vehicle handling, especially on wet roads or during atypical maneuvering situations.
9:25 yeah thats a factory boost a pump for the full E85 headroom.
You really make me want one.
Speedy, My 23 Shake Down Widebody has Pirelli's 305/35ZR20s. 20" X 11" Lightweight Low - Gloss Black Wheels. Your have an awesome machine there.
I run 315/35/20's on the rear of my t/a with no clearance problems. 10.5 width rim.
20x10.5 aren’t bad for challengers; it’s when you put 20x11’s that will give them clearance issues. Even though I have 305’s, I still had to install 3mm spacers.
Thanks! Way cool!
Very cool. Great idea to take us through the details on the Baddest Mopar ever. Still blows me away this 1,025HP Demon is street legal. Looking forward to the Details on the performance pages & other goodness. Let’s do this 😉👍
Another great video. Thx for sharing.
Hope you enjoy it you deserve it.
Thanks for showing the Direct Connection air inlet tubes, I need to find a set to buy now as they look way better then a HC or demon logo.
Good stuff, also looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the trans-brake operation.
Congrats Speedy. Beautiful car. Looking forward to some track videos soon.
Sweet car speedy. Enjoy all your videos. Looking forward to your next one.
I added on all four corners on my 21 Redeye 315/35zr-20 Michelin PS4S. No rubbing on the stock 11” wheels.
My 2016 Scat Pack Shaker has Dodge Bros under the console lid
muy bonito me gusta que lo disfrutes
Best of luck with your new toy...
That was a pretty cool 'tour' of the new car. Interesting differences between the 170 & the hellcat.
I know you said you like the meguiars interior products, but you should check out McKee's 37. We started using their stuff last year. Everything from leather cleaner/protectant, a ceramic coat for the matte black on the hood, wheels, & tires.
Congratulations again. Beautiful car.
Like an admired big bro I never had. Awsome Demon and 3rd gen in the background
Don't lose this one too!! Congrats
The brass monkey rims are one of my favorites. Fill up the fender gap and they will be great to run around town with. I'm not great with tire sizes either. I used one of your early rim/tire set up for my first R/T. Car looks great by the way!
Put the widest rim/tire combo without spacers you can. Prob 11-12” rims and 315/35-325/40 tires. Wider the better. Stick with the 285-305 for the fronts. Make it look big and mean when ur just driving around town. Then when someone wants to race at the track, throw ur track setup on and tear em a new ass.
Thanks for the video, I enjoyed the small details.
The armrest is the same as my Redeye.
1320s came with open end lugs as well. NHRA spec.
Fantastic Mopar! Great vid.
Congrats!! I was hoping you would get another hellcat and you have exceeded my expectations
Thank you for the video. I’m looking forward to more
As far as street tires The ones that have worked the best for me are fire stone fire, hawk, 500
I would look up Oem rims with the same design on both widebody and narrow body challengers and buy those for a street set up. All you need is the overall diameter to match the current diameter of your 170. I'm guessing your options would be 245/45/20 or 275/40/20 fronts and 305/35/20 possibly 315/30/20 for the rears
The 2018 demon had a challenger in the windshield with smoke coming out if I remember.
Nitto has a NT555R2 305/50r20 that is a 32" tall tire. I believe the 170 rear end sits higher due to the drag suspension & these might be a good fit. Going from a 29.5" to a 32" would change the overall gear ratio to hopefully be more streetable also. Not 100% sure if this would fit but worth a suggestion for something that would hookup on the street
Sorry about your other car 😢
But CONGRATS on this one!
Looks GREAT!
I think the brass monkeys look good on it. For some really good wheels check out the Vossen HF3 hellcat redeye video. Those look amazing on the wide body and kind of have that look similar to the style of the brass monkeys.
Couldn't click on this fast enough.
Badass car man.
Both of those items you pointed out on the drivers side under the hood are on the Redeye.
pick up a set of WB wheels for the rear
Ck with a company like Factory Reproductions. They may have a wide version of the brass monkey wheel that you have. I had 315/35R20s on my Redeye and it worked well.
Get the brass monkey's widened for the rear and use them for driving around
no go on the other rim in the rear.. too narrow. get that bad boy wide. Some nitto drag radials will look puurrrdyyy!
Thats a heck of a brace on rear knuckle area.
I am curious if the electronic bypass keeps boost around 15 to 16 PSI on 93 and fully closes on E85 to achieve the higher boost.
305/50s for sure
Please put a Igla alarm and tracker on it
I need to have my Brass Monkey's touched up. Anyone have any suggestions? I could never find a definitive answer to some color matching touch up paint. I thought about finding a wheel person to possibly work on "reconditioning" them since they are originals.
I’m just curious how you got the underside of your car so clean and the rust off the front spindles. Most of the demon 170s I have seen rust from salt on various parts in the front end, exhaust and rear diff. Any tips on how to get that clean like your car?
I got lucky with mine and it was built late and shipped early so I don't think it ever sat out. If yours has rusty parts I've heard there's a dry ice treatment that can clean it up.
@@SpeedysGarage any idea how to clean the white oxidation from the salt off the aluminum rear differential and exhaust?
Speedy based on what you saw on the suspension would you upgrade to AAD?
Those front calipers are 20lbs lighter. Being 4 piston versus 6.
Referring to both fronts of course
Looks beautiful. What do you normally use for a wax on your cars?
Stay tuned :)
Imo, Don't like the older wheels you put on new Demon. stock ones much better.
Brace behind front wheels on suspension is to handle the wheelies slamming back down that this car can do, so nothing breaks
Good luck with your new ride
