I have been chasing better and more consistent 60' times but didn't want to make GoManGo too harsh for all the street driving I do. Looking at the design of the BMR Cradle Lockouts and based on feedback from friends who have them I decided to put them in. The BMR Cradle Lockout install is a lot easier than BMR instructions show, so watch this first.

Love your shop, but mostly your "plan of attack" of doing a project. Makes a lot of sense.
I really admire the way you are treating this cat, keep it mentally clean .
Great video as usual. You NEED to get a lift in your shop. With all the work you do on your vehicles, especially the Hellcat, you will benefit greatly. Rarely will you have to put your car on jackstands again. The ability to stand under your car and work on it makes it so much more pleasurable. Even oil changes can be sort of fun with the right equipment.
I did this on my charger a few months ago. It was a lot easier than people made it seem.
I am convinced that this is the most informative channel for the Hellcat platform. Every time I think of a new project, I see that you've already made a video on it. Very helpful. Thanks!
Appreciate that! Consider becoming a channel member as most of the "How To" stuff is under that portion of the channel: ua-cam.com/channels/ScPnCZOM5MeybxsdfgyD4Q.htmljoin
Can't wait for the follow up drive. I've been thinking about this mod myself. After watching a few of your videos I can tell you're a skilled technician.
Thanks! Don't give me too much credit on the technician deal though LMAO.
What I like about you Speedy is your attention to detail. I had to lower the cradle on mine when I installed BMR'diff lockout kit. Never occurred to me to mark the position of the subframe. When I go to install my new Eibach Drag Launch springs, Bilstein B6 shocks, AAD control arms, & this cradle lockout; I'll pay better attention to that for sure! 👍🏼
I'm a bit OCD about stuff. Helps get things right but sometimes I get hung up and take way to long to complete a job. Blessing and a curse.
@@SpeedysGarage Yeah, I know what you mean man. I have the same problem sometimes.
When you drop the cradle, I take the bottom bottom bolt of the shock out, so when you jack it back up it’s easier to align
This video is all you need. Thank you sooooooo much. You hit the mark of EXCELLENCE and you get 5 ***** stars.
Glad it helped.
I did the complete front and rear aad suspension and sway bar links....also eibach prokit springs...also the cradle lockout kit from bmr...the suspension is amazing and really feels planted with no additional noise or vibration...still have to install rear diff brace.....I installed lockout kit one side at a time...didn't loosen all bolts only 2 and then went to other side....really easy.
Your installation method was very simple yet interesting, thanks for the video. Was going to comment on the blade you used, as it was uncomfortably short, but then you addressed it at the end. I have BMR's counterpart rear cradle lockout kit on my Camaro and it tightened up the rear indeed. The difference isn't night and day as the stock bushings didn't flex very badly, but it's tangibly better now. The cradle bolts were TTY on my car, by the way, so I had to buy new ones.
Good job as usual great info looking forward to the supercharger install 👍
So you asked me about quickjacks, yeah this is why I wish I had a lift instead. My pal, Mike and I put it on the lift and had this done in 30 minutes. Glad to see that you got it done, I did this lockout kit and the cradle lockout kit at the same time. The rear end is rock sold right now. I'd like to hear your opinion on ride comfort once you get some more seat time.
I think you meant that you did this (the cradle lockout) & the diff lockout my man. I did did BMR's diff lockout too. I really have noticed the difference that it makes. 👍🏼
@@DJGRoc yeah my bad, that's what I mean.
Been waiting all week for this, make it pretty easy to install in the video. These have been on my shelf for a few months 💩. Always great informative video!
Thanks!
Just installed this kit on my car today. You helped me a ton! Thanks so much for the informative videos!
Glad it helped!
I like this video, all detailed and concise, but my favorite part is that you did it in your flippy floppies ha
Flippy floppies FTW!
Another good one. Thanks again.
I am about to tackle this job on my '16 Hellcat Charger.
I have no lift and no help, so trust me, this video is invaluable.
Thanks!👍🏾
Glad it helps, and this job is pretty easy. You may even be able to sneak the lockouts in there doing one side at a time to make it even easier.
@Speedy's Garage
Thanks very much. This is why I am a subscriber. You are highly revered! 😎👍🏾
Great video and looking forward to the driving impressions.
If I can quit being held hostage by these thunderstorms!
Awesome content as usual speedy!
Glad you enjoy it!
Good stuff, Speedy! I've watched most of your vids being a fellow HC owner...done a few minor mods....but the thing I've decided I need the most of late is a mini-split AC unit like you've got! I have a guy coming Monday to do a quote on one.
It's been a game changer in the shop.
This video is better than the instructions
Great video!!
Great content once again. We got the exact suspension and Cradle Lockouts. I noticed a straighter Launch and more forward movement on the hit. It feels like the car is 1 pc working to get the weight of our cats out of the hole. I'm looking forward to your feedback to see if you have the same feeling. Appreciate the Typical awesome video 📹 😉👍
Thanks and good to hear on the improvements.
Good video man I want to get this done next with the AAD drag pack.
You should!
Great video as always! Look forward to the feedback!
this is probably a dumb question, but would this still work well on bushings that are older and worn? looking at this cradle lockout as an alternative to having to replace the bushings entirely
great video as usual, is it easier to drop the bottom bolt out of the shock to manage putting it all back together easier? I'll find out this weekend i guess... I'm doing 100% AAD suspension this weekend front and rear. I'm adding the BMR Cradle lockouts and the new Eibach drag-launch spring kit.
Great video as always!! Question. Did you still experience slight wheel hop after the AAD kit? I still have a little not as bad as before. Now I'm looking into this lock out kit.
I wonder if a ball joint separator would work better on that limiter.
Good info! Thanks. I just did the rear AAD arms also. What a difference they make. I was worried about the ride change with the arms but I’m very happy. I was also wondering how the BMR cradle lockout would change the ride feel. Very interested to hear what your thoughts are.
Stay tuned :)
BTW, we entered into a cooperative agreement yesterday with a brake pad supplier that is going to provide custom pads tuned to our stuff...
; )
That's awesome news!
my car's rear suspension is starting to squeak alot and it appears that multiple parts need to be replaced, would you recommend getting the AAD kit or find an aftermarket bushing replacement for the worn out rubber? Will the AADs serve a long time with no need for maintenance? My car is mainly street driven with occasional spirited driving in twisty roads now and then. Thank you
Hi Speedy, the AAD suspention video was helpful as always thank you, i was wondering if you will do a video on 15 inch rear rims and race tires to see if it would help the the sixty foots and consistency.
Thank you
I have no plans for a 15" conversion on mine, but if any of my buddies ever decide they wanna do one I'll shoot some content on it. On good prep I'm not sure it helps much but on questionable prep I expect more consistency for sure.
Thank you for the response speedy I went and ordered. The Mickey Thompson R 315-50-17 tires. Also ordered single bead lock billet, specialty rear rims and matching front rims. I’m sure I’ll have to do mod the inner fender wells don’t know about your tracks back there Alton California they’re a little stingy with the track prep my 2019 hellcat redeye with 305- 45-17 tires was about a 50-50 shot as far as hooking up at the starting line. That’s why I was asking about the update tire size.
Yeah, what he said....
Hey, I know that guy!
I want the AAD suspension stuff for my Redeye and possibly the lockout kit as well.
What brand is your mini split? Im looking at a couple different units for my tiny one car garage. I have a lift in it but too darn hot.
It's a Mitsubishi "Mr. Slim" model. Works great.
Can you give some information on the pocket knife looks like a nice one?
Benchmade Infidel, worth every penny :)
Interested to see if it drops your 60 ft. And by how much. 👍
It's supposed to improve consistency & help with wheel hop. The AAD control arms also help with the wheel hop. 😉
I just installed a 1 piece drive shaft. I was told I needed a lockout kit. Is it really necessary to get the lockout kit, my build is for the street. Not really for track.
I would say yes, too much movement in the rear allowing to much play for the u joint. factory two piece allows more flex with the carrier bearing. I would trust the manufacture of the drive shaft.
Yes I have a charger and it will fiber like crazy over 100
@@donaldgreen9292is that why my wheel is shifted to the left?
Stock sway bar ?
Yes
