My heart breaks for the woman trapped in the Water Closet. I can’t imagine hearing that banging for so long and not reporting it. When I moved into my apartment, I was dusting the blinds and they were hitting the window and a neighbor I’d never met before came to my door to make sure everything was okay. Sometimes listening to your gut gets you a teenage girl cleaning, sometimes it saves a life. Always pay attention to anything that seems off to you. Edit: I can’t believe people are still commenting just to disagree lol. I stand by my original statement that IF SOMETHING SEEMS OFF TO YOU, pay attention. If it’s a banging that continued for that long, then it would have seemed off to ME and thus I would have gone to check. If you guys would rather turn a blind eye bc it isn’t your business, then you’re welcome to. But I personally wouldn’t. Didn’t realize I had made such a controversial statement. Also a woman died. A woman who had a family and an entire life before this. A woman who several people now have to grieve and miss. It doesn’t matter if you would have “known how to survive”, she wasn’t able to and had to suffer in panic for the last hours of her life. Have some respect.
My neighbors who live above me are almost always banging all the time for no apparent reason so if someone was actually in trouble up there, or anywhere else, I wouldn't know the difference, so... 🤷♂ lol
@@NeonBigDummy it’s been a few days since I watched this so I can’t remember exactly, but my guess is something to do with the closet door not opening from the inside or something I have no idea honestly haha
What bothers me the most about the last story is the fact that the manager didn't go back and check on this man after he didn't return his key. After one hour of not returning, he should have immediately checked on him. Idk if he could have saved him in time, but it would have been the responsible thing to do. Of course, what he should have done, was go with the man. Not letting someone in that room alone is a safety issue. Safety is more important than a phone call.
The manager should have known that 1. The trash room was a death trap and 2. There was really no way to recover anything out of there anyway. He should be charged with Rogers death.
And especially if someone is blind! You're just gonna let a blind person or any person for that matter go alone in there without any explanation of what not to do?? Doesn't matter how important that phone call is!
@@trig33kgirl Yeah, what did the manager even expect him to do then? He said he was looking for his phone so of course he's gonna check the trash and the tunnel! He should've at least warned him of what not to do, that's the least you can do! But letting a blind man do that alone..how horrible! This could've been easily prevented if the manager had any decency and common sense!
It could be because of any number of things. The manager forgot because he was so busy and stressed, or he planned to do it and got preoccupied with something else. We don't really know. But what is sure is that he is not the sole reason why this man died... but he is part of the chain of events that did lead to it, and that's just unfortunate. The best advice that hindsight can give is how to handle this issue going forward. Personally, I would make it a rule going forward that nobody is allowed in the trash room without security or supervision in case of an accident. Regardless of the reason
@@PoptartParasol that rule was already in place when the manager gave the key. The manager ignored the rule, which is clearly negligence. I'm sure he regrets his choice that day. A horrible thing for the blind man.
That 2nd story is actually terrifying, dying alone in a dark claustrophobic space knowing that no one can hear you and probably won’t check on you for another week is just a terrible way to die.
Can we just acknowledge that the second lady went out like a boss? It's tragic that she died when it could have been avoided (why would the neighbors wait several long hours to report an odd banging?) but she refused to die before having tried absolutely everything to save herself. It's horrible she died all alone, in the dark, and cold. (And victory was so close, but she didn't know it.) But, damn, despite being older, out of energy, and with extremely few options, she refused to give up until she exhausted every other option. That's admirable.
Damn my heart is out to Mary and her family, the fact that she was so close to escaping and that people heard it and didnt report it really is frustrating to hear.
@@exinsomniac6470 no she died do to pneumonia witch was caused by the fact she was being sprayed by water from the broken pipe and if she just kept at it with the board she would still be alive
Mary's story is heartbreaking. She came so close to getting out. To stop banging right at 5 PM, the cut-off the older couple had, is just unreal. And then to not realize she was only up against a picture, wow, it's sad beyond belief. Never give up. Try something else. Never give up.
She did a number of dumb mistakes. How can you think it's a good idea to rip off a pipe of a working boiler? Police workers are not the brightest and that's no secret.

I feel like the third case would have easily been prevented. The manager should have known the building had a trash compactor installed, and that it would have crushed his phone had it fallen in the chute in the first place. So not only did he mess up by letting a legally blind man go off into a dangerous machine on his own, but it was a hopeless endeavour in the first place.

Imagine seeing a blind guy in a hallway, searching for his phone, and not taking time to help him search. Imagine giving the blind guy the key to a trash compactor room, so he can search for his phone, and not going with him. HE’S BLIND! Even still, the employee could have at least said “heads up, it’s a trash compactor.” Not sure what phone call he was waiting for, but I’m willing to bet it wasn’t -that- important.
Third story is why I will NEVER search for items I accidentally threw out unless it's easily accessible and sticking out of the top of the dumpster, and there is no compacter. NOTHING is worth getting trapped in garbage and crushed.
I can’t believe that people call me crazy for making sure a door won’t close before entering a confined space. Mary’s story is a prime example of why I’m the way I am.
Several of Mr. Ballen’s stories have to do with seemingly harmless situations like that. I never let a door close behind me without making sure it’s unlocked first
I got stuck 2 hours in a bathroom for a similar reason. I was fixing the doorknob and I accidentally closed the door while the latch was on it. When I tried inserting my part of the doorknob into the other one. I pushed the outside knob on the ground and was ultimately stuck. There was an A/C Unit right beside the bathroom door and it was so loud no body heard me. I didnt have my phone to call for help. I went outside on the roof ans climbed down…every material was commercial so all metal. I couldn’t force the door by kicking it or anything It’s so weird to end up in such a silly situation and and slowly realize that you’re actually stuck
@@etiendre my bathroom door is metal too and it's a old school type lock not a knob and sometimes if you close it too fast it locks from the outside, I got stuck once from that day if I was alone I didn't even bothered to close the door😂
I worked in laboratories for many years. When you said how much dry ice they had, my heart sank. No one should have supplied that to a member of the public, at least not without huge safety warnings. There have been other deaths and horrendous injuries because people think dry ice or liquid nitrogen looks really cool, without realising it is potentially extremely dangerous I remember reading about Mary Isherwood's death in the news. A very sad accident.
Did you ever think that maybe the boyfriend went to multiple stores to obtain that amount? We did it in high school several times. How about blaming the idiot who got all the dry ice and the idiots who planned the stunt not the innocent business that may sell dry ice? @@CreeperCart you just had to throw that in there, didn't you? Thanks placeholder man for making sure the obvious is stated, what would we do without you?
I'm baffled that the manager in the third story didn't just outright refuse to give Roger the key. There's no way Roger could've done anything to look for his trash without going into the dumpster and dying-- and that's especially considering that his phone would've been destroyed anyway so there was no point in handing him the key.
Exactly. What was that guy thinking? He should have never given him the keys, and should have told him that if his phone had fallen in there that it was gone.
They are honestly both stupid. ITS both of their faults. There are warning signs all over those compactors. Honestly it's just the universe weeding out the stupid people.
To Mr. Ballen: you're one of the best storytellers I've ever heard. I've never heard your stutter or stumble over your words. Nor have I heard you repeat yourself because you messed up. You're extremely very well spoken. From your well spoken English, to your hand/arm movement while telling the story, to your intensifying your speech when the story climaxes in various points, you're able to pull out the excitement and through that, captivate your audience. *"I LOVE IT!"*
Marys case is so sad. Literally, if her friends could have gone, this probably wouldn't have happened. if she just tried to hit the painting, this wouldn't have happened. If that couple just had told the front desk, this wouldn't have happened. stories like those really tick me off and sadden me.
It’s kind of sad how often we hear people who feel like something is off but don’t do anything about it. Just go with your gut instinct. If you feel like something isn’t right, do something about it. That means, if I were to report every sound, then they would stop listening to me because I would be there every day reporting something. Does that make sense? Also I would like never sleep.

To make it worst, we just got off for the weekend, so I would have been stuck fro 3 days with no one looking for me. I saw a broom, and figured if I hit the ceiling hopefully someone would hear it. As soon as I banged on the ceiling, the freaking lights went out!! So now im in the pitch black and can’t see anything. I’m so lucky, because the bathroom door has a hole in it, so I just needed to push something through it. Problem is, it’s pitch black and even then there was nothing in the bathroom. Wow the dry ice story. I used to work in the live music business and whenever dry ice was used there would always be a safety briefing. Some people would have to be stopped from rolling around on the floor "for fun" because it is, obviously, very dangerous. Having worked on tours in Russia the notion of Health and Safety protocol used to be terrifyingly lacking, especially in the provinces. Some of the local crews would look at me as if I was nuts when I said "If the XXYY issue is not addressed, there will be no show. It's not safe for the artistes, crew or audience". Used to get some right old threats and arguments but the fact is (this was back in 90's) if they didn't apply safe working practices they would not be getting acts from the USA and Europe to tour. I know right? He let the legally BLIND man to go in by himself where hazardous events could happen. I hope the wife win the case. That could bring closure to the family.

There could, possibly, be involuntary manslaughter charges. A very sad case, indeed.
She could be staying more than 6 days in the bungalow. so that’s why they didn’t check up on her. Also the fact that being a manager is a very busy job so he can’t focus on a specific thing.

By the way, did I mention that after the same couple of month she started dating another guy? So yeah. Some people still think it was an actual murder. But no one really gives any shit, because, well... Russia.

That's the first thing that popped into my head. For all he knew, the ringing could have still come from his apartment and he would still be alive today.
That’s why I think there’s more to that story. Drywall is easy to break through with a pipe. Construction workers cut it with a box cutter. She would’ve kept breaking that whole room down. So she literally died in a closet with a water leak. It’s like getting locked in your bedroom clothes closet and dying in there. I’m thinking she’d missed some important nighttime medicine she was on her way to take. Something had to weaken her because I’m not healthy and know I could break through any drywall wall in my house in less than five minutes. It’s just pressed chalk covered with paper. Something imaginable is she missed her blood pressure medicine so it spiked, which caused her to panic and give up. Or her blood pressure got too low, which makes you really cold, and the cold water leak was unbearable. There’s no way she was pounding as long as the neighbors said without getting out though. Plus, they’re super weird to hear noise all night and all day but not bother to just ask the office out it.

@@jenniferk9242 "Chemical" is a dubious term, as anything can be it. Here the safety depends on the amount used. They used tens of kilograms of this stuff. And after this happened she starts to make money on her husband’a death through the social media. She’s also positions herself like a pharmaceutical adviser. And when they asked her on television if she even studied chemistry, she said yes, it was obvious that she didn’t even had any education in this area.
0:52 it’s the time stamp where the name appears. Can you write the correct pronunciation of Yekaterina I’m just learning Russian as third language but I think that the way the name it’s pronounced in the video it’s incorrect.
She did what? Well I'm sorry but the people she influences , probably kids though, are the ones making her an influencer and famous for being... Whatever she is

"Stuck in the closet" story is a good example of why you should know SOS code. It's very easy to remember and it is distinctive and noticeable because of the rhythm, unlike random banging. Even someone who does not recognize the actual code would probably realize it is an attempt at getting attention after a while. BANG-BANG-BANG BANG... BANG... BANG BANG-BANG-BANG (wait a moment, repeat)
@All Eyes On You Dot is a short pause, dash is a long pause, indicated by - for short pause and ... for long pause. It is dependent on the bangs or taps or whatever being done in a steady rhythm. You could also do it with a camera flashbulb (which is a sort of "tap") to signal visually over a long distance, for example.
wait thats 2 short pauses then an undifined then 2 long then 1 undefined then 2 short again? shoulnd it be: bang.bang.bang.bang...bang...bang...bang.bang.bang?

The first story goes even further after you learn the way she acted after her husbands death. Basically she was feeling okay without any sighs of sorrow very soon, she was getting every bits of hype on that story promoting her business and increase her audience, also found herself a second boyfriend after a couple of months (5) after her husband passed away.
The second story is almost identical to another story mr ballen told about an older man trapped in a closet by a falling wardrobe, I think it was in the uk, I remember thinking what a crazy set of circumstances it was and couldn’t happen again, amazing that it did.
Them putting on hazmat suits is really telling how utterly clueless they were. At that moment I knew that absolutely no person involved had made any research at all.
@@chaeyoungswifey4153 "Darwin Award winners eliminate themselves in an extraordinarily idiotic manner" Basically when you get yourself killed or castrated (taken out of the gene pool) when you do some very stupid a regular person would know not to do. A classic and early example is "Charles Stephens, the first person to die while attempting to go over Niagara Falls in a barrel"
In regards to the second story. My closet in my old house when I was a kid had a faulty doorknob, the side that was facing the bedroom would fall out even if you gave it a light tug. So I went into my closet one day and the knob fell out on the bedroom side, so no matter what I couldn't open the door. The primal fear i felt as I realized that I couldn't escape this closet was immense. But luckily my little sister heard me pounding on the wall and she reconnected the doorknob and let me out, I am in her debt
This is exactly why every single time I ever notice doorknobs in any house i go to are loose I ask where their tools drawer is and go around tightening them, I also got stuck as a child as did my little sister nearly a decade later in the same room!
Mary’s situation is why I bring my phone with me everywhere. These videos make me scared of being anywhere without a phone to call for help. I feel so sad for her. And the fact that people heard banging late at night and assume it’s construction is just crazy. She could easily been saved. 😨
His vids are so personal, like it doesn't feel like I'm watching a video It feels like he is in front of me telling me about the strange, dark and mysterious delivered in story format
Back in 1997 in Sweden, two brothers aged 6 and 10 decided to climb into a container meant for recycling newspapers just to play in there for a while. Unfortunately, said container was emptied into a trash compactor just a short time after the boys got in there and they were both crushed to death. After this tragic accident, every single container meant for recycling had to be remodelled and fitted with smaller openings to avoid future incidents like this one. One can only imagine the agony these boys suffered since their screams went unheard because of the loud noise the truck and the compactor made. Poor family.
I work with trash compactors , if you fall into it without sticking your head up you'll get pushed into the container but you won't die of being crushed, maybe lack of oxygen though
#2 is a testament to never give up till the end. I've heard stories before and were neighbors or people around heard things like this but didn't get involved. It's sad. Also I bet her friends felt like shit for bailing on her.
It always annoys me when people hear banging or alarms going off and just sit there with the mentality of: "well, it will stop in a minute", or "let's wait several hours before we get off our asses" Many, many lives could have bene saved all over the world if people just reported stuff or at least stuck their head out there door! I mean in that poor ladies case stuck in the airing cupboard, all it took was for one of them to look down the street to notice there were no construction vans or anybody remotely dressed for construction on a quiet row of bungalow's or just one to pop down to said bungalow to check it out properly she would most likely have survived! I mean what was that one couple doing upon hearing constant banging for almost 24hrs doing? We'll wait till 5pm? What for? Why 5pm? At the very least contact the grounds keepers and say, "hey, there's loud banging coming from one of the bungalow's, are you guys doing some construction?" That's all it would have took. These stories really piss me off, people are so lazy and just can't be bothered to help or look out for their fellow humans anymore, it's a sad world we live in these days. If I'm at home and hear an alarm going off I'm straight out to make sure people are ok or ring the police if it's a burglar alarm etc I'd rather waste someone's time than find out someone is dead because no one did anything, just think how you would feel if a family member or any loved one met this fate and not a soul thought to check it out? Devastating.
I used to feel dumb for calling police or investigating things that felt “off.” I don’t care about feeling dumb anymore. Once I called cops on someone drilling at a front door lock. Turns out it was maintenance changing the locks but I didn’t know the person. They were new. And we had reports of people trying to break in by drilling out locks, one even while someone was home. Wasn’t taking any chances
These are some of the most frightening stories for me, because it could happen to me. I live in a very remote place, and my nearest neighbors are @ a mile away. They can't hear me scream, and even if they could, they are very unlikely to call 911. I have proved this 3 times this month. I have goats, and a mountain lion has been stalking them. It's killed two recently. 2 weeks ago, the lion jumped on my front porch. My dog stays inside most of the time now, but especially at night. He was barking like mad, and that cat was probably after him this time. I didn't open the door, but screamed at it as loudly as I could and it left. It came back last night and terrified my goats. Their crying woke me, and I grabbed my rifle this time. Again, I screamed "Get OUTTA HERE!" as loud as I could and it left, but I fired a few shots in it's general direction to scare it off. Even with the screaming and the loud gunshots, no one heard us, or they just didn't care enough to call 911. I love living in a beautiful wild place, I've lived here off-grid for 15 years (our power is solar and batteries) but it's probably going to be the death of me. I don't want to become MrBallen famous.
Mr. Ballen is a master storyteller. He gives you just enough info to keep you intrigued and then continually builds suspense. Then he hits you with plot twists at the right moments.
not to mention, if you know the guy you know he's legally blind.. even if the phone call would cause you to let someone else in, you shouldn't have with him. just tell him he's gotta wait a little while.
Incredibly negligent on the part of the manager not to check up on someone he allowed to go into a dangerous, restricted room by himself. And why not check for hours after the tenant doesn't return with key? Weird
The last story reminds me of the time I was at my former workplace and our trash compactor shoot was clogged. At the time we had a problem of employees throwing away cardboard boxes (90% of our waste) without breaking them down and pushing the button to run the compactor after throwing stuff away. It was the end of my shift and I had 2 large trash cans full of trash to get rid of and could't because of the clog. My manager was there and I was like "I guess I'll have to take the trash back to my department and leave it for tomorrow, because I can't budge the trash with the pole." (we had a long pole used to dislodge trapped trash) She in all seriousness suggested that I NEEDED TO CRAWL INSIDE THE SHOOT TO MANUALLY DISLODGE THE TRASH (she was a horrible manager BTW) I was like "aw hell no! One, you don't pay me enough. Two, I'm not an idiot and would like to not die at work." Thinking back now, I should have reported her to upper management But I was young and inexperienced. Thank god had enough sense to know that was a HORRIBLE idea the moment it came out of her mouth.
Scenarios like this one are exactly why OHSA (Occupational Health & Safety Act) exists, because people do stupid things (or urge someone else to do them) on the job, and get either injured or killed. You can't fix stupid, but you can try to regulate it.
Reminds me of some of the bosses I've had. Even if something is technically illegal or wrong, doesn't mean a boss won't try to make you do it. And in an at will hire state they can get rid of you for nothing as retaliation and you may have little to no recourse. Cheap jobs aren't worth risking you life.
Say you'll do it if they give the instructions in writing then refuse to do it and just take the evidence to a lawyer. Because that is gross negligence of the most egregious sort for them to ask you do that. Do not feel the least bit guilty taking their money, only losing money will give them the incentive needed to avoid getting another human being killed.
I really hope the building manager was prosecuted. He obviously knew full well that you could not easily or safely get into the dumpster without putting yourself at serious risk. He was completely negligent and should have been held accountable.
His way of telling the story is impressive, I was truly hoping she survived what an amazing woman. I can't believe she passed just like that because of some stupid painting.
@@Darkes336 Hate me for this, I mean no offence, but perhaps she passed away because she failed to realise that the door would have broken open at SOME point if she had continued to barge heavily against it. RIP anyway.
Being slowly crushed by a compactor has to be one of the most torturous and terrifying ways to go, just stuck there watching this thing slowly come in on you knowing what's about to happen, very chilling to think about.

🤷♂ lol

We can't know how it went down exactly. She may not have actually given up.
When I was in the military I got to my new Duty station and went into my room. We had conjoined bathrooms, so when I went inside, for some reason the door locked from the outside. I was stuck.
As I was sitting there, my mind thought of the toilet roll. I knew it should have a spring in there. So I reach in the dark and finally found it. It had a spring, and I pulled it apart. I was so freaking lucky it fit in the hole. I just kept twisting and pushing and finally the door popped open.
I was so freaking thankful. I’m assuming I would be able to survive with no food for 3 days… but I thank God I didn’t have to find out. Plus to be in the dark for that long.. Omgosh. I don’t want to imagine. Also, this was way before cell phones. 😢

It's a lot better now!

My question is... Wouldn't the manager think to himself "gee, it's been a while since I gave that guy the key...I should check and see what's going on?"
I know right? He let the legally BLIND man to go in by himself where hazardous events could happen. I hope the wife win the case. That could bring closure to the family.
@@zaitieamirah9876 I was thinking exactly the same thing. Why would he let a blind man go alone, into such a dangerous room? I hope she won. How could she not? It was clear negligence. A building manager giving away the key to a person (who is legally blind) to check the trash, when there was no way to check anything since the trash is inside a closed dumpster and is being compacted as soon as it falls in the dumpster
And on top of that, the building manager didn't look for the guy, hours and hours after giving him the key
Completely agree. This one had some holes in it for sure. So the blind guy climbs a ladder to “look down the chute” for his phone?
Yeah, the manager definitely would've known that as soon as trash goes down there it falls down a long chute and gets compacted and that there'd be no way to access it without going in the dumpster... he basically set that man up for his death

The key manager SERIOUSLY could’ve said “hey don’t go in there lookin around for your phone it’s a compactor and very dangerous.” But no, he let a legally blind man go in and look for his easily replaceable phone.
That's what I'm saying! I bet there were caution signs, but ya know... he's blind! He probably assumed he'd get a bit dirty digging through a normal dumpster - that's all. That manager is a completely negligent ass. Here's an idea... offer to call the mans phone so he can hear it ring.

Or...you know...could have waited till after that important phonecall. Then the manager could have come along
Really?
Mary's horrific situation sounds like something out of a movie. So unbelievably sad that she could've lived if she just tried a little bit more.
They had that bungalow but I didn’t know the door.
God don’t want to be that person but this just reminded me of a reference in a game where this girl was bleeding while trying to climb out just to be met with a wall at the top of the tunnel. It’s a very scary situation that makes me keep my phone on hand no matter what
@amazing supergirl keeping in mind this lady was 60 years old I think it's impressive she even did what she did, me being 19 I don't know how I'd handle that situation but ripping a pipe off a water heater is impressive, especially in complete darkness.
She would’ve probably survived longer if she wasn’t naked in there. She died of hypothermia.
So the manager who isn't allowed to let anyone in the trash room decides to break that rule by giving the keys to the legally blind guy. what a horrible life decision

Your mention of “god pls protect all of us” makes me wonder why god saw fit to kill Mary or the man in the trash compactor in the first place.
Saying "god saw fit to kill" is assuming that He did that. Things happen that is the result of the fall of mankind. The people who belong to Him, their lives are in His hands. The others, I don't know. They may be just left to take care of themselves until they call out Him for help, if they ever do that but I doubt they do.

I'm obsessed with this guy. Binging nonstop now. It's so rare to be able to hear detailed and relevant stories. He is a master story teller!
Right?! They should make a soothing sleep video of his voice making whooshing ocean sounds.
Andrew record* You're so funny! 😄that'll work.
My 2 under 5yrs old grandchildren sleeps😴 to waves crashing & thunderstorms every night with a sleep mask on👀 for 10hrs!
I 100% agree 👍 he has a voice that you pay attention too. John would be fantastic as a teacher, public speaking, 100% a leader not a follower. He has something that I can't pin point right now. I mean the word I'm looking for. He draws people in to listen to him. He has fantastic skills that not many people have. Firstly John has people skills. Well look what he used to be.. but I think anything in communication John will do with flying colours. Full of confidence look how many people love his channel plus also think the world of him.
I hope his Wife an Children relies how much we love listening to him. Even at times I'm frightened af looking under my bed 🛌 for a little person 😳🙄
Just a genuine question, Did you feel distressed after binging for sometime? Because I have been watching some of his videos for 2 days now and I'm kinda feeling weird and scared idk

Perfect example of how shallow society is .

The second story is almost identical to another story mr ballen told about an older man trapped in a closet by a falling wardrobe, I think it was in the uk, I remember thinking what a crazy set of circumstances it was and couldn’t happen again, amazing that it did.
That last story ..really gut wrenching. I couldn’t imagine the fear Roger felt and the horror his wife has to live with knowing what happened. So sad

Basically when you get yourself killed or castrated (taken out of the gene pool) when you do some very stupid a regular person would know not to do.
What is with the knobs on closets
Replace those with simple latches.

Some severely heartbreaking stories. Be safe people!
Its like they're made to kill people. They should deactivate when there is too much movement inside.
@@DreadMaverick2 that wouldn’t work.
@@DreadMaverick2 That's a brilliant idea. Why hasn't that been done?
@@kekistanimememan170 Why not?
I work with trash compactors , if you fall into it without sticking your head up you'll get pushed into the container but you won't die of being crushed, maybe lack of oxygen though
#2 is a testament to never give up till the end. I've heard stories before and were neighbors or people around heard things like this but didn't get involved. It's sad. Also I bet her friends felt like shit for bailing on her.
I made a promise to myself if I ever hear anything off I'll report it.. just in case
A lot of these stories involve sh*t friends who never stick together.
My thoughts exactly. This man has perfected his craft!
You guys obviously haven't heard too many stories get told
@@thecloneguyz Well if you feel Mr. Ballen is overrated why are you here then?
The way you tell stories is amazing! 👏
Story 3 though.. the manager didn’t think to himself “hey that guy who went to the trash room has been gone a long time, I should check on him” ??
Or what about the fact that he must have known that it was a trash compactor? How did he expect the man to get his cell phone back from inside there?
Exactly. If he actually wanted to help, he could’ve called his phone
not to mention, if you know the guy you know he's legally blind.. even if the phone call would cause you to let someone else in, you shouldn't have with him. just tell him he's gotta wait a little while.
Or dude, there is no way he is going to find his phone in the COMPACTED trash...
The manager should have said "it's too dangerous and your phone was modt likely destroyed by the compacter"
Incredibly negligent on the part of the manager not to check up on someone he allowed to go into a dangerous, restricted room by himself. And why not check for hours after the tenant doesn't return with key? Weird
Lazy people or busy people or lazy and careless everywhere. Sadly, it's not that weird tbh.
Especially a blind person....
I don't think she liked you and was probably very jealous of you.hope you did better than her in life
Really good call on your part. Horrible manager is an understatement
This may be the first of Mr. Ballen's videos that I ever saw. Been a fan ever since

I really hope the building manager was prosecuted. He obviously knew full well that you could not easily or safely get into the dumpster without putting yourself at serious risk. He was completely negligent and should have been held accountable.
